Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:It is not an "opinion" of the remediation company when there are the Subject Matter Expert in this type of work. Their evaluation is not an opinion! Besides from the remediation company's evaluation there is also the evaluation by the Homeowner Insurance Adjuster. This mold problem did not only affecting our home but also our neighbor's home who was built at the same time. The mold issues happened due to the builder not properly drying the material when they put the house together that in itself IS the builder's fault. If they had used licensed contractors to do their work we probably would not have this problem to begin with.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:NV service manager came and saw the pump and his plumber assumed it was drywall. We decided to replace the sump pump from our own expenses as per his observation, it was full of drywall. So we invited a plumber to replace the pump. As the plumber removed the old pump, he found hardened cement, NOT DRYWALL, inside the sump pump pit. We had to pay him additional money to remove that cement. We had hired our own contractors to build the basement, but these contractors only installed drywall, wood framing, engineered wood-flooring. They never worked with the cement paving of the basement. The house builder, NV Homes, paved the cement before we settled the house purchase with them. Furthermore, we had never put engineered wood-flooring in the storage room where the sump pump is located. That floor was bare-concrete floor as storage rooms should be and as you can see in the videos or pictures attached with this email. The cement found inside the sump pump pit was left by NV Homes or whichever subcontracting company they hired to pave the cement and finish the concrete basement. The NV Service Manager mentioned my statement on the material being potentially from the clean up of the basement by [redacted]. That was an assumption on my part at the time, misled by the plumber NV Homes brought to my property. As we found out later, it was not drywall, and was actually cement which could have only been handled by NV Homes. Furthermore, [redacted] (the clean up company) only removed drywall and wood-flooring through the basement, but nothing was removed from the storage room where the pump is located. No debris or material could have gone into the sump pump by any of the contractors performing work in the basement or the clean up company removing debris. My plumber also mentioned it was not possible for cement to flow through any of the drainage pipes, without blocking it, and build up in the pit. Our drainage is clear, so we know for certain nothing went inside through the drainage. The only way about six to seven inches of cement can build up in the pit is due to the negligence of NV Homes. Our neighbor also had his sump pump cleared up of debris left over from NV Homes, which shows this problem is perhaps common due to their build quality. The NV Manager mentions that we never had any service issues with the pump through the duration of the warranty. My answer is that we are not professional contractors so there is no way we could have been able to tell whether NV Homes left 6-7 inches of cement in the pump. We did not notice anything wrong with the pump nor could we see the cement which was covered with water and thus, not visible to an average person like me. I'm going to attach numerous images, and links to videos of plumbers excavating the cement in the pit for your reference. Please note the sound of the tool hitting the cement. It sounds like an axe hitting a rock. That is clearly NOT DRYWALL. This is cement, left over by NV Homes. Again, I'm going to stress that no contractor hired by us paved the concrete basement. This was done by NV Homes. Neither did the clean up company remove cement as you can see from the pictures. The clean up company did NOT clean up the storage room which did NOT have engineered-wood in it.[redacted]Regards,

What we have been asking over 45 days is the measurements of the rooms shown in the attachment. The total cost is 18,400.00. We need to know the cost per sq ft whether it is tile, carpet, pad or Listello. Had they given us the measurements, we would have taken a decision whether to go with the upgrades now or do it later or go with what comes with the home. The [redacted] has no idea on measurements. I am attaching one more attachment in a different mail

Dear [redacted] – Thank you for the opportunity to look into the Revdex.com assigned ID [redacted]. Prior to the receipt of this complaint, the consumer provided an invoice from an outside vendor noting a clogged condensation line and secondary drain that was not connected. The consumer...
settled on his home on April 30, 2014. Ryan Homes offers a 2 year limited warranty on the HVAC system. A clogged condensation line, as well as the prevention of such would be part of homeowner maintenance. The original vendor was not contacted to evaluate the issue the consumer was experiencing. Without an opportunity for the original vendor to evaluate the issue the consumer experienced, Ryan Homes will not take responsibility for the cost the consumer incurred with his outside vendor. Ryan Homes appreciates the efforts of the Revdex.com in bringing closure to this matter. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.Kind regards,Corporate Customer Relations

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: although I appreciate the offer of discounted walkway this walkway was not listed as being not included or included in the contract. Nowhere in the contract does it state anything about it and I have documentation to prove this and admitted from both the sales rep and project manager. I would maybe understand if Ryan never used to include this in the homes in this neighborhood but a year or so ago I have 5 neighbors behind me that all received this for free. If something is not included it should state this clearly like for example the driveway. It states it does not include with purchase. Some neighborhoods get a driveway. The right thing to do is to cover this very small walkway for free and start putting it in the contract so everyone is aware. I spent over 100k in upgrades and didn't expect to get 5 walkway stones that are very cheap looking in front of my house. I would've either paid this or negotiated it in the price of the home. For something so minuscule - 5'x2.5' rough size of a walkway it's not worth fighting over. Especially when Ryan homes admits it's nowhere in the contract.

I am rejecting this response because it did not provide any constructive resolutions or even accept the fact that I was doing something based on their instructions rather than at my own choice. If this needs to be the end of the story here at Revdex.com, fine; but I do not accept this response and will keep expressing my opinions to others about this business as I complained here.

Dear Mr. [redacted],
We have received the rejection to the Revdex.com assigned ID [redacted]. Once again, The consumer closed on his home constructed by Heartland Homes, Inc. in May 2011. On December 31, 2012, NVR, Inc. purchased certain assets of Heartland Homes, Inc., including the trade name “Heartland Homes”. However, NVR is not a successor to Heartland Homes, Inc. nor did NVR assume any of the liabilities to the closed customers of Heartland Homes, Inc. The consumer does have a warranty on his home. If any items fall within the warranty timeframe, the previous owner would handle the warranty claim.
The information the consumer has requested in the rejection does not have relevance to the warranty on his Heartland home.
A warranty claim can be filed with the previous owner’s attorney. They can be contacted at:

I am rejecting this response because: I would have prefered to have one piece with no seam but even the match of the grains of 2 sontes is not matching completely. Our realtor and various other professional instalers our relater showed the instalation have said that this is not how a typical install of the seam would be done. I would appreicate if you can still consider this and try and see if we can make this whole in some form. Again we don't build homes and bought the house assuming the coutertop will be like the model so that is what we had expected.
