Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The company wants to say that this takes time and we need to call and talk to someone about what they have done for us The bottom line is that their salesperson told us that we would be ranking on the first page of Google in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd spot within to weeks He said that if we made sale a month from this service, it would pay for itself After months we were not ranking at all and had not gotten a single phone call since we were not even showing up on Google We were sold something that they could not deliver on and could not afford to keep paying them When we hired the 2nd company, we were ranking on page within weeks This is proof that EGumball was taking our money and sitting on it Regards, [redacted]

The customer was frequently updated on their account, specifically on August 8th of and received many detailed emails and snapshots of his rankings throughout the duration of his contractOnce an account is activated, we begin the monthly citation building process, which does not require any verbal contact with the customerHowever, the customer is provided access to our client login portal which details the campaign trafficAlso, the customer persisted to create many duplicate listings, which created “irregularities” on the account Lastly and as per eGumball’s terms (http://www.egumball.com/terms.html), a contract is reinstated after the duration of the previous term, unless the customer cancels, which in this case the customer did not and tried to cancel in the middle of his second contract termOur customer support department is readily available to discuss our customer’s campaign
Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below As stated in my original complaint, Egumball contacted me regarding using their services Their EXACT promise to me was that they could get me on the first page of Google No differentiation was made between Google and Google MapsNo mention was made of the difference between Maps and organic listings I found this out later My business was ALREADY on the first page of Google MAps so I never really needed their services at all An ethical company would have not taken advantage of the fact that I lacked computer knowledge and would never have pursued this sale I was also told that it would take several months to get my business on the first page of Google so when I did not see immediate results, I was not overly concerned I started asking questions on 08/when I still saw no improvement in my rating That is why it took so long for me to question what was going on Yes, they communicated with me several times in the first days but also told me to be patient on getting my desired results [redacted] from their billing department contacted me yesterday after a long Facebook rehash of my issues I will be happy to supply a copy of the Facebook correspondence if needed She first told me that I would need to write a "hardship" letter stating that I could no longer afford their service to be let out of my contract I refused as this is clearly not the case Then she said I would still need to write a letter to cancel and they would let me out of the agreement only if I agreed to retract my Revdex.com complaint and remove the Facebook correspondence I told them I would need to think about it I sent them a fax last night agreeing to remove the Facebook posts and retract my Revdex.com complaint ONLY if they FIRST sent me a letter stating that my contract is canceled without any additional financial obligation and they agreed not to tamper with or remove any of my Google keywords Forgive me for not trusting this company This brings us up to date If they will FIRST send me a written verification that my contract is canceled in full I will consider this ***er resolved [redacted] ***
Complaint: I was solicited several times for this company’s services for help with our local listingsOur business has been struggling to capture a significant share of internet traffic for our industry for yearsBefore recently, we were uneducated about how local listings and citations workSince I have signed up for this service, I have learned a few things that lead me to believe that the sales representative who I talked to at this company has mislead meI was told that the business who were ranking the highest on the local listings were paying google to be listed thereThis is not trueThe business who are listed highest on the local listings are ranked higher largely in part because of how many “citations” (or listings) their company has across the webI have learned that the going rate to have a listing corrected or a new one submitted is $4-$per citationAt $per month, which is what this company was going to charge me, that would be citations corrected or submitted per month, which is unnecessary to do every month for an entire yearIn the few weeks I have been signed up so far, I have had reports pulled to show that I have not had any citations fixed or submitted recently by this company by a third partyThis company also did not understand our marketing planOur business is based in Winchester, KY, and we were trying to get listed in other cities (because we are already at the top in Winchester)This company listing us in these other cities with the same name but different addresses and phone numbers would cause more confusion and hurt our ranking abilityI was also told I had days to opt out of the contract when I signed up for the programWhen I called to opt out (within that days), I was told I could only opt out if they were not performingI have reports to show that none of my citations that currently exist have been fixed, which means they are not performing the job they stated they would performI have been grossly misledI have talked to multiple employees, including "supervisors"I continue to get a sales pitch and I was told that I am not able to opt out of this dealThis is completely bogusI have tried to get out of this since 4-days into it Desired Settlement: I would like all monies paid to this company to be refunded immediatelyI would like the contract cancelledAnd I would like for this company to remove all of our phone numbers from their solicitation lists

This client has worked with eGumball since November 2, The customer has been shown on multiple occasions throughout the years their front page results which has included all of their chosen keywords and additional target areas This has been part of the reason that the customer had chosen to extend their service agreement with eGumball on multiple occasions The customer contacted the service department and informed us that they had moved their location on 2/18/ This caused eGumball to initiate changes to the years of work that had been completed The customer was informed of the extent of the work that had to be completed in order to make updates and we asked for patience during this period Part of the process does include a re-verification of their [redacted] My Business account so that [redacted] can verify their new location as an accurate business location This is a [redacted] requirement for any major change, such as an address change Furthermore, eGumball is a [redacted] Partner: [redacted] The [redacted] Partner status applies to the [redacted] program which is a separate service, but eGumball does hold this statusWe are providing current screenshots of the customer’s rankings These screenshots are due in part to the trust that eGumball has established for the business We would like to further discuss the results and service with the client and ask that the customer contact their Account Executive at [redacted]
There is a slight clarification necessary in the response given to the customer.Here is the clarified response:According to our terms and conditions ( [redacted] ), the person signing the contract is not only signing for this service, but also signing to state that they have the authority to sign for this serviceThe customer did not receive the first month free, however, an initiation fee as well as the first month's installment are due to eGumball Incwhen the customer first signs the contractThis stafee is always requiredUnless the customer cancels in writing, they are automatically billed each month thereafterIf the customer would like to discuss this matter further, they may contact eGumball Incat [redacted]
Our client signed onto service with us on 2/17/ Production emails detailing each step of our service was emailed on 2/17, 2/21, 2/24, 2/25, 2/and 2/All emails provide detail as to work performed alongside contact telephone numbersPer the email received by the client on 2/28, the client was provided username and password credentials to upload his photosOn 3/6/2014, we received a conference call from our client and the clients bankThe client wanted to cancel and did not want to discuss the campaign during this conference call Consequently, our concierge department didn't have the chance to go over the uploading of the photos since the client refused to discuss his account If the 24th was so important to the client why didn't the customer call us on or near the 24th?
eGumball manually reates and edits local directory (citations) listings on a monthly basis with unique content Updating listings with incorrect listings takes 30-days to appear in Google search results Once a updated listing appears in Google search results it can take up to days for Google to cluster and push a new index in Google MapsGoogle aggregates these citations for trust scoring eGumball does not update all known citations at once Updating and or creating a high volume of new citations may seem unfriendly to a search engine like Google For which reason our service takes time eGumball's contract is limited to one compliant location - not "locations" Please clarify eGumball only monitors previously created or edited citations We do not monitor other locations not contracted
