Camping Companies to any customer.  Camping Companies is a contractor for Equity Auto Center and any damage to the vehicle should be taken up with them do to the fact that they are the ones with the condition report at time of repo. There will not be any compensation provided to Mr [redacted] from Equity Auto Center.  If he would like he may contact Camping Compaines about any damage he thinks they may have done.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention Equity Auto Center Considers this matter to be closed.

I wanted to add that I am willing for them to make me an offer on my car but not saying that fulfills complaint until I know what is offered.  They can easily offer me less than worth.

I have taken a lot of time and work into my car.  Driving to them is even a cost since it is not close.  I am afraid to go there and waste my time for an unfair offer.  I get my car has lost value over the year but they caused this issue for me by lying.

I have reviewed the response made by the business...

in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I had the Ford Fiesta for one month, I traded it April 28, 2014. When I traded it the dealership told me they are going to pay off the loan and the car is not under my ownership anymore. The time I got the Ford fiesta, I was supposed to pay the first month after 45 days, I set up an auto payment with [redacted] dealer services, at May 13, 2014, [redacted] took first monthly payment for the Ford which I traded. I contacted [redacted] and they told me the car is still under my name. I contacted Equity to give me a refund and "[redacted]" said that the $163 dollars that was deducted from my bank account will be refunded back to me when equity pays off the loan to [redacted]. After finally Equity payed off the loan, [redacted] refused to refund the $163 to me and they considered it a loan interest because the loan was under my name for more than three months "Thanks for Equity". As equity agreed to pay off the loan, they have to pay off the interest and refund me my money back. It is Fraud, when a business agrees on agreement, they have not making the customer paying interest for a loan they were supposed to pay the time the car was traded not leaving it under my name and having me responsible for paying interest . I request a refund of $163 of the first month which is not considered part of the trade deal. The money was deducted May 13 2104 and the trade took place in April 28 2014 and the loan pay off took place around 06/23/2014. How this is legal that I am paying interest for a loan the dealership agreed to pay off and paid off around 06/23/2014 after three months making me responsible of paying interest for them. Again I request a refund of $163 dollars from equity.

I  was called by a representative  from the warranty company he even advised I take my car for check up and call him if I had any problem ,took the car to toyota to be fixed theyou told me they have to varsity with the warranty company so that they take the car ,after waiting for sometime Greg customer service representative  from toyota avondale came and told me they cannot take the car since the warranty company  will not pay any  repairs since the dealership has not activated the warranty nor submitted any contract  BT they have my details only it was very embarrassing but nothing to do ,so they have submitted my name only but warrant is not activated

To Whom It May Concern:   This letter is in response to a complaint filed by Terence P Butler.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.  Upon review Equity Auto Center found the following.  Check [redacted] was sent to [redacted]...

[redacted] a secondary lender. Check # [redacted] has cleared our bank account.   Equity has contacted the lender and the lender stated it could take 3 to 4 weeks after a check clears there account before any lien can be released and title can be mailed to dealer.  Equity has not received a title from the lender at this point.  No refund checks are released until title has been received.  A refund in the amount of 566.31 will be available for Mr. Butler from Equity Auto Center to customer one week after title has been received.  Equity Auto Center finds this matter to be resolved.  Please let us know if there is any further information you may need.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. However, your finance manager said he would mail the check to my home address. He asked me to fill out the form with my address. In addition, all the times I came to your office in Glendale (Equity Auto Center) or called, you never mentioned your agreement with [redacted], which is new to me. Your staff always said the check will be mailed to me. Therefore, this was a miscommunication on your part and your staff made me waste much of my time. At least, I deserve an apology!
I checked with [redacted] and noticed that you mailed the check like you said. The amount for refund was supposed to be $830.08 but it seems there was only deposited $780 on my loan account. This is not a big deal, anyway. I am satisfied with your response. However, please, it would be better next time to respond to customers' requests as soon as possible. The fact that this simple matter took about 3 months (From December 2015 to February 2016) resolve did not make me happy.

You offered to partially refund the 3 year warranties my wife and I purchased through your dealership. I believe we are entitled to a complete refund, since your salesman sold us warranties that were completely unnecessary, neglecting to inform us of the existing 5 year manufacturer warranties. If we had known, we obviously would not have purchased the 3 year warranties from you. In addition, I have tried to contact your dealership several times about this matter, by phone and email, and never received a single response. You did not respond until the Revdex.com became involved. Because I live in [redacted], that was my only option. I would like to know why returning   a call or email is this much of an issue with your business. We purchased two vehicles from your dealership and I think we deserve to be dealt with honestly.

[redacted] purchased a 2011 Nissan Sentra in June of 2016.   Mr. [redacted] had an opportunity to inspect and drive the vehicle at time of purchase and it was disclosed to him this vehicle was in used condition.   At that time customer decided to purchase the vehicle and the appropriate disclosures about the vehicles history were signed.   Equity Auto Center sales used cars and tries to give customers to the best of our ability a good running vehicle at a price that meets there budget.  Unfortunately with used vehicles they cannot be perfect.  Customer stated that the vehicle had a bad battery and the breaks were squeaking.  Equity put a new battery in the vehicle and the brakes were inspected and found to be working to manufacture guidelines.  The customer has driven the vehicle for a month and failed to make the agreed upon payments that were contingent of his loan approval.  The down payment that Mr. [redacted] paid with a check bounced, [redacted].  Customer failed to meet the agreed upon terms and because of that the car was taken away.  The customer came in with his mother and she is on camera yelling profanities in our main lobby so they were asked to leave.   Upon leaving Mr. [redacted] is on video kicking and causing damage to the vehicle.   The damages will be assessed, a police report will be filed and Mr. [redacted] will be hearing from our attorneys with the amount he has to pay our store for damages.     Equity Auto Center considers this matter to be closed.   Thank you.     Equity Auto Center [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  After speaking with [redacted] from Equity he is aware that I am truly dissatisfied with the company's treatment of my account.  This account went into default because they chose not to respond to my calls.  I expected a letter from the actual company that is "servicing" this account, and I have received none.  I expect that upon  receipt of my check that will be in the mail tomorrow, Friday, May 22, 2015, I will immediately be mailed the deed to my car as promised.
