Review: We purchased a car October 28th. They were supposed to pay off the loan and have 30 days to do so. They give us the run around and lie every time we inquire about the loan. They told us it was sent on the 24th of November, then on the 30th of November. It has not been paid and we cant get resolution. [redacted] is the lien holder of the car and is about to send our account to collections.Desired Settlement: simple: pay off the loan as agreed

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Equity Auto Center has looked into this matter and finds that the vehicle pay off was made to to [redacted] for a 2006 Ford Mustang check# [redacted]as cleared our account and [redacted] stated that the account will show paid in full in two to three weeks. At this time Equity Auto Center considers this matter resolved.
We bought a car in November 2013 and it took 45 days to get the title (I do believe they hand delivered it to my mailbox on DAY 45 - no postmark). We have bought vehicles before and usually get the plates in 2-3 weeks. My complaint is not the length of time, but the customer service when I called to inquire about why it was taking so long for us to get the plates. They were rude and condescending on the phone. A promise to call me back never happened so when I called back they wouldn't even answer the phone. This continued all day, so I would call from a different phone. They hung up on me. And [redacted] refused to come to the phone. My husband went there and they were all standing around, while the phone goes to voicemail. They told him the plates were in the mail, which was not true. I really believe they goofed and did not get our information to [redacted], but would not be truthful with us. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. We may have gotten a deal, but their customer service SUCKS....I would rather deal with a business who is honest. I really don't trust them and of course could not wait to take any off the plate holder displaying their name.
Absolutely horrible experience with equity. This is the first time I seriously regret buying a car just because of the nightmare I've had dealing with them. I bought the car in November and 4 and a half months later I'm still having to go in in person and just being told lie after lie about why my bank hasn't received the refund from a cancelation on a warranty. I have given up trying to resolve the issue through them. Told me the check must've gotten lost but that they sent it in March, I asked for the check number and other information on the check they "sent" they refused to give me the information. For the first time I had to write a letter to the state attorney general and federal trade commission to get the refund from equity. I seriously hope people double think buying a car from them so the same thing doesn't happen to them that's happened to several of us customers
Review: I purchased and financed a car through Equity last September. A few months in my loan was transferred to another loan company and I was unhappy with this company so I paid off my loan in April of this year. When I contacted the loan company they said they did not have the title to my car, Equity did. I have been unable to get my title from Equity or any information. They have not responded to emails or voice mail. Currently their voice mail is full and I am unable to leave a message.Desired Settlement: To receive my title to my car.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
