[redacted] Complaint# [redacted]. On August 17 2015 Mr. [redacted] purchased a 2013

Nissan Sentra.  Mr. [redacted] was given an opportunity

to test drive and inspect the vehicle.  Mr.

[redacted] decided at that time to purchase the vehicle and signed a valid retail installment

contract. Equity Auto Center

disclosed at time of sale that the vehicle he was purchasing was a Lemon Law

Buy Back. The 2013 Nissan Sentra is not a Salvage Title as Mr. [redacted]

Claims.  Equity Auto

Center had Mr. [redacted]

sign the appropriate disclosures.   We

have copies of them as proof.  Equity Auto Center also explained at time of purchase that we do

not have a return policy and the contract is valid and binding to a lender of

our choosing or Equity

Auto Center

can hold the loan internally. Equity has contacted Mr. [redacted] on several

occasions with different options and he has declined them all.  At this time Mr. [redacted] is in default of his

obligation to make payments due to his failure of not making his 1st payment.  A default notice has been

mailed to [redacted].   If Mr. [redacted] does

not pay the amount of 11505.34 in full by November 20th 2015 Equity Auto

Center will begin

repossession proceeding. Mr. [redacted] will be liable for the remaining balance

of loan after vehicle has been sold at auction.Equity

Thank you for your response Equity Auto Center has looked into this matter and finds the following.  Any and all refunds are processed after dealer secures title from lien holder.  Dealer will mail out check or customer may arrange to pick up any refunds checks at this time. Trade tile for this trade has not been released from lien holder therefore no refunds have been approved for prepossessing.  Check will be processed medially after lien holder releases lien.

This letter is in response to a complaint filed by [redacted].  The Extended Service Contract gives customersadded benefits that do not come with the manufactures warranty.  Manufactures warranties cover factory defectsor workmanship.  Service Contract Cover mechanicalbreakdowns on components that a customer picks as part of a package coveredcomponent.  [redacted] may cancel theextended service contract but will only get the remaining balance of unusedportions.

This complaint has been resolved. I have be given my permanent plates today, 11/17/15. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

They took two months to pay off my trade, so I did not have the car in my possession but had to continue making payments. They told me a maximum of 30 days, but changed the story to 40, then 45 days when I called back. The license and registration didn't come through until the day before the temp was to expire. When I called to get a status, they took my number and didn't call back on six different occasions. I was hung up on no less than three times while inquiring about my trade-in payoff.

I still have yet to collect the difference between the refinanced negative equity and payoff amount.

Avoid dealing with these people if you owe on a trade-in. They will take your money and not pay off your trade.

Review: They got me a loan from [redacted] to purchase a Ford Fiesta, I traded the car after a month at their place for having mechanical issues, they got me another loan from a different bank to get Hyndai Sonata 2011. They had me sign document says that they are responsible for paying off the loan of the Ford Fiesta. They never gave me a copy of that document. They never paid the loan yet and the car's loan is still under my name and I am responsible for monthly payments for those two cars and two car insurances. I contacted them the last two months and all they say is excuses and they never pay off the car and not even notified [redacted] that they took over the Ford Fiesta ownership. The way they run their business in such way is ethically wrong because what they did is going to affect my credit. At least four people wrote reviews in google about Equity auto for having the same issue. They were supposed to pay off the car 06/13/2014 and they never did. I contacted them today and they told me they paid it off " which is a lie" because I contacted [redacted] which told me the car still under my name and they never paid off the loan. I want them to pay off the car and get me out of this deal, I am sure they sold the Fiesta but they still don't want to pay off the loan to the bank and they still intend to hurt my credit.

I don't even remember the information about the Ford Fiesta, it has been two months now and they never paid it off, please if you want the purchase details contact equity.Desired Settlement: They should not put the customer's in a situation like this, trading a car with a dealership means a done deal not having the customer responsible for two cars. I want them to pay the loan because they sold the traded car so why I am still responsible for something I don't own, it is fraud.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I had the Ford Fiesta for one month, I traded it April 28, 2014. When I traded it the dealership told me they are going to pay off the loan and the car is not under my ownership anymore. The time I got the Ford fiesta, I was supposed to pay the first month after 45 days, I set up an auto payment with [redacted] dealer services, at May 13, 2014, [redacted] took first monthly payment for the Ford which I traded. I contacted [redacted] and they told me the car is still under my name. I contacted Equity to give me a refund and "[redacted]" said that the $163 dollars that was deducted from my bank account will be refunded back to me when equity pays off the loan to [redacted]. After finally Equity payed off the loan, [redacted] refused to refund the $163 to me and they considered it a loan interest because the loan was under my name for more than three months "Thanks for Equity". As equity agreed to pay off the loan, they have to pay off the interest and refund me my money back. It is Fraud, when a business agrees on agreement, they have not making the customer paying interest for a loan they were supposed to pay the time the car was traded not leaving it under my name and having me responsible for paying interest . I request a refund of $163 of the first month which is not considered part of the trade deal. The money was deducted May 13 2104 and the trade took place in April 28 2014 and the loan pay off took place around 06/23/2014. How this is legal that I am paying interest for a loan the dealership agreed to pay off and paid off around 06/23/2014 after three months making me responsible of paying interest for them. Again I request a refund of $163 dollars from equity.

Great customer service best car deals I seen around. many relatives and friends I know have come here

Review: I purchased an auto on 8-26-2013 and traded-in my auto which still had a loan balance remaining on it. The dealership agreed to payoff my trade-in verbally and on the written contract. It is now October 8, 2013 and they still have not sent any money to the lender for my trade in. I am now required to make payments on my new auto purchase and my traded-in auto which I no longer have possession of. Also because I transferred the insurance from my trade in auto to my newly purchased auto, the lien holder on my trade-in is now threatening to put force placed insurance on the auto I traded in. Equity automotive will not take my calls or returns messages.Desired Settlement: For Equity Auto Center to send the $6600 we agreed to verbally and on the written contract to the lender I still owe for the vehicle that was traded in to and now in the possession of Equity Auto Center.

They have still not paid off the auto, per the lender no payoff check has ever been received. First the dealership said the did not send a payment, then said they did and lender was holding it for 10days (per lender that is not their policy w/payoff checks). Then the dealership said they sent payment and it was never received and lost so they stop payment and issued another check. They continue to contradict themselves. Per the lender they have never receiving anything from the dealership. This matter has not been resolved and the auto has not been paid off.

Mr. [redacted] was contacted by lender and was informed that they had the check and could not cash it without a pay off authorization from him. The check has cleared our account and we believe this matter to be resolved.

Equity Auto Center does not care about customer satisfaction. As soon as they conclude a deal and receive cash or complete the loan financing process, that's all they care about. The customer struggles to resolve other issues. We call them several times and they do not pick up and if they rarely do, they give us false promises. Very dishonest. They promised $100 referral fee but after referring a customer who purchased a vehicle from them, they did not pay me the fee. I would not recommend this business to a friend anymore.

Review: I paid for a 3 year warranty. Right after I got the car I had problems took in for warranty not filed. Now 7 months later more issues still not filed. I'm paying for a warranty I can't use. I've tried to call no one answers, emails, nothing. This car is biggest regret ever. And I can't get warranty filed.Desired Settlement: I want car fixed correctly and warranty filed or complete return.

Review: I purchased a car on 3/14/2014 and had a trade it that had a loan against it. Equity Auto was to pay off that loan It is now 5/2/2014 and It has still not been paid. I keep getting the run around saying its been sent of we will stop payment on that check and send another. I have requested it to be sent overnight with a tracking number to verify receipt and was told no and refused this service even after offering to pay for the shipping myself.Desired Settlement: Send the Pay off NOW like was agreed upon in the contract. Ive lived up to my end why isn't the company living up to theirs and why are they doing this over and over again why has no one shut them down!!
