I've had Everdry for almost 20 6years and I couldn't be happier! Everdry keeps my basement dry, the customer service is amazing the quality is unbeatable! Polite, knowledgeable workers. I enjoy my dry basement because I have Everdry! I highly recommend Everdry to everyone that has a basement and needs waterproofing, Everdry is the best waterproofing around! They stand by their work!

In late August, I noticed a hole in my back yard where this company installed some underground tubing for drainage from my sump pump after waterproofing my basement. I called them and told them about my situation. They agreed that it would be covered under the warranty that came with their service, and set up a time to come out and fix the hole. I then asked them about some form of compensation for having to come out and dig up my yard, which will require me to re-seed the affected area. They then transferred me to a supervisor. I told him about my issue and told me that they will not have to dig anything up. I explained to him that they already had to fix this issue once before because it was done incorrectly the first time they installed it. To fix it the first time they had to dig up my yard. Forcing me to re-seed the area once already. I told him that I do not believe him that my yard will not be damaged from repairing the issue, and that I do not trust in his employees abilities to fix the issue because they have already had to do it twice. He was upset about that, and said the only way he would repair the issue is if he came out to my house and spoke to me face to face. I told him that I have no interest in talking to him or his employees, and that I just want the problem taken care of. Now he is refusing to fix the issue that is covered by the warranty.

After a review of our records we can see that we have performed warranty work in the past as stated in the complaint. When the work was performed we were required to plumb the pump in a manner that didn't make sense and we knew would create issues based on our 32 years of waterproofing basements. However, our hands were tied as the city official has the final say. As w already knew, it created the issues we were afraid of requiring us to perform warranty work. We do know that that particular inspector is no longer with the city and we can request to run the pump the proper way to eliminate this particular issue.

As for the other concerns, although we recognize that it is an inconvenience, we do not compensate homeowners for their time because we have to come to the home to perform service. Just as DTE doesn't, Comcast or Ford Motor Company when your car needs service. Our records also showed that the customer refused to allow us to come to the house to diagnose the issue so we could establish a course of action for the repair. This was also stated in the complaint. Our records also showed that the customer "hung up" on the supervisor when they were discussing the process. The customer states that he doesn't want our supervisor to come out however he wants it fixed. Please explain how we can fix something if we are not welcome to the home?

We are more than willing to diagnose and repair any issues regarding our work without hesitation. We also believe we can get the city to allow us to "undo" what they required us to do to prevent future issues. In the end, we never said there will never be any issues in the future, it simply says if there are, we will take care of them. Again, when you buy a brand new vehicle, they introduce you to the service department should you have any issues.

If the issue is on the exterior of the home, the customer doesn't need to be home. We will just need access to the yard. Please advise that we have permission and we will come and see exactly what the issue is.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 14110857, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. I would like to note, that their response is deceptive and untrue, but I would just like this matter resolved. They said that it was the cities fault that there was an issue, but if they would have done it right the first time, this would have never happened. I believe that they are an immoral business, and manipulate customers to believe what they say is true.

We had our basement waterproofed by EverDry several years ago and have had a dry basement ever since. You do have to pay a $75 annual fee to keep the warranty active, but it is worth it. I highly recommend EveryDry to anyone with a leaky basement! Dawn H

EverDry is a great company! They waterproofed by basement several years ago and we have been very happy with the work the did.

I had my basement done about 11 years ago waterproofing and a sump pump I have been very happy with the company so far they had giving me good service I have no complains. YB in Detroit Michigan.

We have the EverDry system in our house and it does a nice job keeping the water out. I do recommend paying the yearly warranty renewal. We had an issue that they came out and fixed at no cost. We’ve been happy with them.

EverDry failed the City of DEARBORN final inspection. The work of EverDry started one day to a month ago. The notice of re-inspection cars states: 1. Exterior water proofing areas not inspected, open areas for proper inspection. 2. Provide pictures as instructed by previous inspector for internal floor cover. 3. Company is responsible for remediation fix for sewer gas smell in the basement. Suggest Ozination machine.
EverDry has completed numbers one and two of this notice. Number 3 has yet to fixed properly by EverDry. Sewer gas smell continues to be in for basement and continues to be a health concern for the residents of the household.

EverDry cracked a basement window. The supervisor stated he would give two years of service free so 75 dollars a year service fee for two years. Homeowner has to repair the window and homeowner was later told the service fees for two years are not transferable. This house was waterproofed to be sold and the homeowners have to pay for the window and two year service fees waived will not benefit anyone. The new owners can’t use service fees and the current homeowners won’t be using the service fees. EverDry finished work on Oct 25 and EverDry has failed to send a letter to the homeowners stating two years of service were covered at no cost. The homeowner has since asked that EverDry pay to fix the window or give the homeowners a check for 150 dollars so the homeowner can replace the window. EverDry has failed to respond.

Everdry has been in communication with the Senior Building Inspector and he has indicated that all inspections have passed. The homeowner had some city employees from the Water & Sewer Department to her home regarding the odors she is noticing. The homeowner would not supply us with any information regarding that inspection, therefore we had to file for the Freedom of Information Act and are still waiting receive the information. They say this can take time because it has to go through their legal department before it is released. According to our records we have been to the house five separate times and have never smelled the odors the homeowner is concerned about. We even took the caps off of the sewer clean outs and still could not smell a sewer gas.

During the process of the waterproofing installation a licensed plumber does tie into the storm sewer. This requires him to cut into the sewer line and it's not uncommon for sewer smells to become noticeable but dissipates quickly. Also, we open the basement floor as part of the waterproofing process and there can often be odors from the earth. Again, this also dissipates after we reinstall the floor.

In closing, we have not been able to smell what the homeowners is claiming, however we are waiting on the information we have requested from the city. Until it is received, there is nothing more we can do.

We just purchased our home and the warranty was transferrable we have been so busy we just forgot to call they sent us a letter reminding us to call them for the transfer! We called the 2 sweet ladies that helped us get it all transferred and set up our 6 month inspection were fast and professional!

Darrell Anderson from Garden City Michigan Everdry has been a fantastic company and they always answer my questions promptly. My basement has been dry for 10 years. With the maintenance contract they come out every 3 months and flush out the inside pipes and check operation of the sump pumps.
