We are happy with our waterproofing. Have not had any issues.
***. Berkley, MI

Customer service was very helpful with extra questions that we had. Sales rep that came to the house was very nice and not pressuring us to buy. Work crew was on time, fast and clean.

I live in Roseville, MI and had my basement waterproofed by Everydry. I am completely satisfied with both the quality of the work and warranty they provide for a small yearly fee. I have had to use it on several occasions for some preventative maintenance and each time work was completely quickly and properly. I highly recommend Everydry to anyone with waterproofing needs and recommend you stay current on the warranty for it's many benefits.

Cory,
I am so glad that you are happy with the work that was done on your basement and you continue to use the warranty. Thank you for being a loyal customer :-)

I had a great experience with Everdry Waterproofing. I have an older home and the basement had issues long before I bought it. Everdry put in their system and the mold and musty smell issues are gone. They have a great warranty and are responsive to taking care of any issues. I would definitely recommend them!!

Would absolutely recommend EverDry! Several years ago we had our basement done, the amount of water that was seeping into our home was quite impressive! Not a single drop since the work was completed! Best thing I ever did! The crew was polite, clean and efficient as is all of the staff I have spoken with over the years. *** - Garden City

PM from Armada. I live in an old farmhouse and the basement walls are very pourus. After Everdry came out and waterproofed my home 15 years ago the basement has been bone dry. I had them come out to replace two sump pumps under warranty in that time and their response was immediate or the next morning. What a great company!

Very happy with the quality of the work and lifetime warranty. The crew was very professional and experienced. We have not experienced any issues since the work was done a few years ago. Would definitely recommend! ***. - Marine City, MI.

Performed waterproofing and other services in 2009. Everything was smooth from initial contact, to quote, to install. Installation crew clean, polite, and fast. Yes, it was costly, but very happy with work completed. Dry basement 10 years later! Excellent warranty.

My basement was leaking buckets... it was awful! An EverDry representative was here in less than 24 hours to do a full evaluation and provide a quote. They quickly got to work and corrected all of the problems... They even prevented possible future issues with the installation of a back up sump pump! Thanks for making my basement dry and livable again!!

We purchased our home in 2016 and it had severe water issues in the basement, much to our disappointment. Everdry completed the full waterproofing, inside and out, and installed the EZ Breathe and sump pump with battery backup in January, 2018. We have had zero issues and it has been a very rainy year. We are very pleased and looking forward to finishing our basement this year with no worries of water. Thank you! ***. - Beverly Hills, MI

Everdry
Salesman, High Pressure…
Someone showed up at my house from Everdry asking if they could give me a free inspection/quote, it was something I had thought about in the past so I thought it would be a good idea to get their thoughts. *** then came to my house and took a look at the basement, showed me a book of images of other basements. Pointed out the rust on my walls which was from the structural re bar rods that were placed when the walls were poured (early 1970’s) and the bugs collecting in the window wells – he pointed out that all of this is due to moisture in the basement. He gave me an initial quote of approx. 20k, I thanked him and told him I couldn’t afford that.
I received additional calls after this meeting where *** told me about reductions in cost that they were able to provide, I still let him know that It wasn’t a cost I could afford. On the 4th call he told me how another home owner had backed out of their agreement and that they had staff and materials ready to be used so was able to offer me another discount – the price was now approx. $11k – this was almost 50% less than the original quote so I felt it was a good deal. I agreed and the work was to start immediately (because of the materials and crew that were already scheduled – basically I was slipping into someone else’s project time slot). *** asked to come over that evening to have paperwork signed, I told him that I didn’t have time because I needed to take my children somewhere, he assured me it would only take 5 minutes because he just needed my signature and everything was the same as we had previously went over. I reluctantly agreed, he came over and I quickly signed the paperwork.
Work Performed…
The crew showed up when they were supposed to and finished on time. They weren’t the most professional group of people I have worked with but they did show up on time. They also dug a 2nd sump for some reason – I already had one existing and asked why they couldn’t have used it – I was told this was an overflow – I had never heard of that and didn’t see the need for it, but it was dug into my floor already so I didn’t see a reason to argue it. The house is a ranch with an attached garage, a stamped concrete patio and at the time there was also a slab in the backyard with a screened in porch. I was told the only walls that required the treatment were those exposed – the areas that were not accessible due to the slab, garage and patio were protected, so those walls were left untreated. The cement work to cover the tile in my basement was shoddy at best.
Workers, Attitudes…
The unprofessional-ism of the lead on my job site was astounding. The crew enjoyed swearing and leaving cigarette butts all around my property. I recall walking through the project site after they were complete and asking questions. This is when things started to be clear that the sales and service sides of the business had a huge disconnect. I asked the lead a question about something that was missing from what the sales person *** had told me, he made a lewd gesture with his arms and told me the sales people don’t know what they are talking about. When looking in the basement I had several cracks in the walls that were not filled, when I asked the lead if this was going to be fixed, he told me that I could do it myself with some caulk. I told him for 11k I was expecting this to be taken care of. He reluctantly went to his truck and brought in some Spackle and roughly patched the cracks (this patch chipped and came off within 6 weeks). The system that *** and I went over originally included many additional items including an air ventilation system, when I asked our site lead where it was he told me it wasn’t included, I called and was referred to my signed paperwork which did not have that box checked. Shame on me for letting the salesman rush me into signing while I was trying to get my kids to their activities.
I recently found a Facebook posting from the Owner of Everdry and he was looking for salesmen. Here were his requirement for his sales reps…
Huge Ego
Impatient
High nervous energy
Hates to lose
Good at sports
Feeling of urgency – Do it now!
I kid you not…copied and pasted from his Facebook page.
Lies, Contract, Warranty
I was also told by *** that the service would come with a lifetime transferable warranty – this was also a big selling point for me to do the service. I was not told that I had to pay for this lifetime warranty on a yearly basis. So to my surprise, shortly after the service was complete I received a bill in the mail for my “Annual” warranty fee…I called the office because I thought this was included in my fee, again I was told it was not. I was very disappointed and angry with the entire situation by this point, so I told them I was not paying the fee nor would I give them any more of my money. I did also write a letter to the company and received a call from someone to discuss my experience.
5 Years later
I noticed a 3 foot water spot on my basement carpet. I dug up my Everdry records and called the office to discuss my issue. The secretary looked up my account from 2013 when we had Everdry waterproof our basement. She quickly pointed out that I hadn’t “kept up” on my warranty and therefore she couldn’t help me. I didn’t argue and asked to have a technician come out to estimate a repair at my cost.
After half the day playing hide and go seek with their “Service” department, I finally got a hold of the Manger ***. This guy acted like we were bothering him and he kept referring to our “Expired warranty”. He said that we would have to back pay our warranty for him to even come out and look at our issue. I had said that I would just pay for a service call ($65) for him to come out. He was so rude and even tried to blame my water issues on the people who installed my basement carpet. Mind you, he never even came out to see anything. Then he got mad at me because I was asking questions and he said he was doing me a favor by even talking to me. I stayed calm throughout our conversations and NEVER asked Everdry for any free work. I was just trying to fix my water issue. He then started saying that his system never fail and he has been in business for 27 years. He then reiterated that I violated their contract by not paying on the yearly (BS) warranty upkeep fee. He said that he was doing me a huge favor by even calling me back and being willing to come out and take a look. He said that he didn’t know if he would even be up to taking on the job. (They were eager to take the $11K before though).
*** then stated that he assumed that the people who finished my basement had ruined their system. I assured him that they didn’t. He said that I wasn’t even his customer anymore since we didn’t pay the warranty fees. I said that the $11k that I spent with him was good enough for him to answer 15 mins worth of questions. He said that if I wanted anything more from him that I had to pay the $65 fee and he would come out. I didn’t call back. I wrote this instead to try and save someone else from the frustration of dealing with these people. Try Michigan Basements instead. Good people.

No issues at all with my basement since Everdry. Customer service is always very nice!

I love the staff at EverDry!! They were very helpful with all of my questions.

We purchased the system over five years ago and we are still very happy with it. Even when there is a heavy rainfall with snow melting, our basement stays dry. We live in Macomb County, MI and have a high water table. The sump pump system keeps up with the amount of water that runs around and under our house. Four times a year, the maintenance man comes out to clean and inspect the sump pumps and other parts of the system. We have always received good service and are very happy with the company. Its a big investment, but highly worth it.

I contacted Everdry regarding water in my basement they had a professional guy come analyze the situation and recommend repair that would eliminate water flooding for life. They guarantee their work.

EverDry Waterproofing of Sterling Heights is a very reputable company. I chose them to perform their waterproofing on my 1937 vintage home back in 1997. They lived up to all of their sales pitches - all service labor and materials covered when extending the original install warranty yearly for less than $50.00. This was extremely reasonable considering what can happen to a home over the years; foundation settling, new underground water paths due to erosion, etc. Over the course of 20 years, I had them perform repairs four times with one sump pump replacement and install. The warranty is fully transferable to the next owners! I sold my home quickly in January 2018 and the warranty was a big selling point!

This company is serious about their business and customer satisfaction.

I have contacted *** with Everdry several times with several emails & calls all through the year of 2016 & 2017. From day 1 we have had water in our basement all along the walls & coming up through the floor- this problem has not been fixed - I want this to be resolved as promised. We paid $18,000 for a waterproof basement & did not get what we paid for.

Dear Revdex.com team, after a review of the file it appears there is more going on here. This was a very complicated installation and there are a few other players involved including the City of Saint Clair Shores as well as a third party plumber. The file shows there have been some warranty requests that were covered and others that were not.

I believe the best place to start is to have a meeting at the sight to sort out the customers concerns, determine what needs done to correct it and who is responsible for those corrections, which is where I believe the core issue lies.

First things first, lets set up a meeting at the home. We can be made available most days if we know in advance.

Sincerely,

***

President

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 12698726, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. But I do not want to deal directly with ***.

Everdry Waterproofing of S.E. Michigan Response • Mar 20, 2018

I responded to the original complaint and never heard back from the Revdex.com or the homeowner that the resolution proposed was acceptable. I don't have a ton of experience following up with Revdex.com complaints as we rarely get them, however I was under the understanding that I would have received a notification through from the Revdex.com. If for some reason this notification was missed on my behalf, I sincerely apologize.

I will allow this message to reach *** via email and follow up with a telephone call to personally address her concerns.

We had EveryDry waterproof our basement before finishing it and it was the best decision we made. Piece of mind and great lifetime warranty.

Everdry has the best waterproofing around! Keeps my basement dry and worry free. Top notch customer service. Will be there for clients anytime and in any weather . This is a top notch quality company. Highly recommend . Been with them 17 years!

We have been partners with Everdry in maintaining our dry basement. We live in Royal Oak where wet basements seem to be a standard trend. During the big flooding that was seen in Metro Detroit over the last several years, homes directly next to us on either side and all across the street were suffering major damage. Our street was lined with soggy nasty trash on garbage day with the exception of our home, Bone dry. I love this company. Everyone is so nice and helpful when you call.
