I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
HHello I have read the the response and the information that they are stating is false, as I have contacted the Bankruptcy, court directly and they advised that they do not verify or give information to any credit reporting agency or company and this was sent to me in a letter from the clerk of courtsI have called and called Experian and asked for the items that they are falsely reporting to be verified and they refuse to do so stating that the items were verified and they will not investigate againI asked them to send me proof of the information that they received and their methods of vitrification and all I received in the mail was letters stating that they will not verify anymore I have exhausted all measures with this company trying to get these items off of my credit and they refuse to comply with federal guidelines on reporting creditThey have yet to send me any documentation on how they varified or who did it, telling me that I have to send them my picture I.Dand proof of who I amI have done this several times even faxed my information. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I wrote a letter to Experian on (8/4/17) challenging the reporting and compliance on multiple accounts that are being reported on my credit report with incorrect informationThis is against the Fair Credit Reporting Act section 609(a)(1) which states that CRAs, including major credit bureaus such as Trans Union, "shall, upon request (by a consumer), clearly and accurately disclose to the consumerAll information in the consumer's file at the time of the request" (emphasis added)If the "information in the consumer's file at the time of the request" includes account and social security numbers, the provision thus normally requires that the CRA "clearly and accurately" include such items in its disclosure to consumersHowever, because the trigger for a file disclosure is a "request" by a consumer, a CRA may allow consumers (such as the individual in your letter) to choose truncation or other security measures in their own file disclosureIn other words, although Section provides consumers with a right to all information in the file, a CRA may provide a method for the consumer to ask for less than all information and then comply with that "request" when it makes the disclosureThis basically states that by not reporting the entire account number, they are not reporting 100% accurate information as required by section of the Fair Credit Reporting ActThis is effecting accounts: *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** I received a response letter 8/31/stating that these accounts have been verified as accurate and updatedWhich again is impossible due to the account numbers containing "X's"If in fact they verified these, then the correct account numbers should be listedSince they were not updated, these accounts are not valid
Regards,
