I have been involved with construction since I was a laborer during college summer vacation now 50 years later a builder and developer. Never have I had a company that came to my house with such professional style and quality work The first day was spent building a plastic barrier for the work area to protect the rest of our house We were notified several times before and during the days of their work schedule always arriving at the time specified Every night the area was cleared and cleaned leaving my house obstacle free They worked on December 24 until 10 pm in order to finish our job knowing we were having a Christmas party the next day! The work was done perfectly My engineer contractor friend who builds 3 million dollar homes asked me if he could convince them to go to work for him in Tampa I had zero hesitation leaving them in my home when my family was there or not My wife and I are now deciding on our next project with this great company

Their work is very professional, their service is A+ and their prices are great. Throughout the years I have used their services many times, and always have ended completely satisfied! Highly recommended, don't look any where else, use them!

This was a major undertaking.
I had 21 windows replaced which required the reframing of each window opening due to age of the house (built in 1937). I also had double wide 6' French doors and one solid wood door replaced. The FB workmen were courteous, diligent, responsible and worked nonstop until the job was done. They were solicitous of my home, and applied plastic coverings to the furniture and walls and windows (where required) to protect everything from dust and damage. Also, every morning the terrific office staff called me to tell me estimated time of arrival, and work plan for that day.
The quality of the work done in reframing and installing the windows was excellent. Especially beautifully done was the installation of new fluted casing and corner blocks on all interior windows and doors-this work was done to such perfection, with great detail. The interior of the garage door was also finished in the same manner, with fluted casing and corner blocks-such a beautiful touch.
In the garage, my dryer had been vented by attaching the exhaust through the screen of one of the old windows, and installation of the new window made that no longer possible-FB Doors graciously drilled a hole in the garage wall and vented the dryer vent through this hole, which saved me the trouble of trying to find someone to do this.
In replacing one window in the cottage/part of the garage, FB discovered drywall damage from a water leak-FB repaired the drywall, including plastering to match the wall finish. This, as the dryer vent issue, was an unforeseen task which FB just took care of, and repaired beautifully.
A major problem discovered in removing one window was that there were major water leaks in the old framework which had resulted in significant damage to the interior framework of the wall, which required reconstruction of a large portion of the wall, both interior and exterior. The interior repair required the application of drywall and plaster, as well as the framing of the window. The exterior work required reconstruction of the interior supporting 2 x 4's, plywood, and application of screening and stuccoing. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the owner of FB Doors, ***, directed and actively participated from start to finish in this reconstruction process, which took over ½ a day to complete. The only real problem encountered in this entire project was the stucco applied to the exterior damaged wall initially did not match the stucco on rest of the wall-this was quickly addressed by *** and was beautifully redone to match the rest of the wall.
Bottom line: A terrific owner, and great people who do great work. I highly recommend.

FB DOORS is a very professional and reliable company. I would highly recommend them for replacement of impact windows and doors. the installation was excellent and they were very clean and well organized.

5 months and they will not establish contact even to confirm installation.
I agreed to storm windows on August 1st. In 5 months they have not reached out to me once and for an investment over $50,000.00 you would think they would have some sort of customer service.

I have reached out so many times and they do not call back and this is for a product that is suppose to be ready within 2 months. I have called until I'm blue in the face and supposedly the widows are in with a begin install date of November 29. Absolutely no contact from them. I fear that the windows even exist and if the quality of the windows is as bad as there customer service I'm really screwed.

I am in need of some type of contact and I am trying to avoid contacting an attorney to end the contract.

Desired Outcome

CONTACT I cannot put my life on hold wondering what they will do. I am the customer, not them. This company is a joke.

Dear Mrs. Fitzgerald,

Re: Complaint regarding Windows Installation.

Thank you for your e-mail dated December 01, 2017 alerting us about Consumer's Concerns. According to the research carried out by us, until today December 11, 2017, we would like to provide the following information:

Our "Contract for Services" with Mr. was signed on August 18, 2017. It is not even four
months yet. (See attached 1st page of Contract).
Florida Notice to Proceed was received by consumer on August 22, 2017, along with *** Financing Approval. (See attached letter).

After several attempts to contact the consumer, finally on September 13, 2017, he e-mailed us back
the information required to start the Homeowner Association Approval process; which was granted on October 19, 2017. (See attached e-mail).

Once obtained this approval, we were able to place the order of materials, which were installed
within five weeks. Much less of the time assumed by the consumer. (6-8 weeks).

Original Permit Documentation to commence work was received and signed by consumer on

November 29, 2017. (See attached receipt).
Installation of Windows began on November 29, and continue until December 01, 2017, when taking notice of the complaint presented by consumer, FB Doors stopped the project to understand what was really happening. (See attached photos).
On December 04, 2017, *** Representative, FB Doors' Supervisor and Consumer met at the
workplace, and they agreed to replace all window screens within (10) business days, and screens replacement will not be basis for holding back final inspection.

Installation was resumed on December 05, and continued until today, December 11, 2017, when
the installers will intent to complete final details. Final Inspection is expected on Wednesday December 13, 2017.

In the meantime, the attached e-mails were sent by FB Doors Customer Service to consumer.

I trust this is sufficient information for you to correct Mr. allegations about:
o "This company is a joke"
o "Five Months and they will not establish contact even to confirm installation"
o "I fear that the windows even exist"
o "... as bad as the customer service I am really ***
I am sure you will find, that they are without basis in fact.

Should you need any further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

***,
FB Doors, Corp.

Where do I begin?.?.?. It has been a struggle every step of the way. We decided to do the YGreen program to upgrade our home with hurricane impact garage door, side door, three French doors and one large window. A nice size project you would say.

One of the biggest issues they have is lack of communication/customer service. The other is I had to fight to get what we were buying itemized. It took a while but we did ultimately get a very generic email with the items itemized. I would urge everyone to do the same.

We were almost in the whole big time as it became a battle of their word against mine and if it wasn't for that itemized email they would have buried us in repair costs to our garage. I also had to get ahold of YGreen to let them know how dissatisfied we were with them and how they were tarnishing the program.

After the project was completed, the glass from one of the French doors cracked. It took literally 2 months maybe more to finally get it replaced.

Now here I am in disbelief watching water drip in from all three French doors. Thank God for all the rain last week as it brought to the table this huge problem before we would have been out of warranty. I will be calling FB doors first thing Monday morning and hope to God a resolution will be quick and through.

BTW... FB Doors, it is deceitful to have your employee(s ) leave 5 start ratings AND to have the "owner" reply to it thanking them makes it so much worse.
