I feel this company misrepresented what the were selling. and that it is a scam. I would like my money back. $499.99. I really though I was buying Advanced tech Support which is a program that really like. they even put a Teck Support shortcut on my computer

On July [redacted], 2015 a message popped up on a full screen saying that my computer has been infected by a virus and that they were from Microsoft, and I shouldn't use my computer for online banking or anything else! I tried to exit the page at their request and it wouldn't let me preform that task. I then let them into my computer (thinking they were from Microsoft), and they preformed a check and said that it needed work. They transferred me to another person who put up a screen listing what the services cost. The person did a high pressure sales on me and preformed the service. They then asked for my credit card number, it was declined. They had me call my credit card company while they waited on my other phone for an answer, this happened 2 times more. They then asked me to call the credit card company again to find out why and they would call me back in an hour. The employee at the credit card company said there had been fraud alert activated on my card, and that they would lift it but it had to be at my request. When I asked why she said she would check and to hold, upon returning she told me that there had been a scam reported about this company prior to my transaction, and what did I want to do. Thank God my brain kicked in and I told them not to allow a transaction by them. They turned my card back on, and I was told they will give up after awhile of trying to collect. They have contacted me twice since. My problem now is that they installed this, want $870.00, and can they gain access into my computer without my knowledge and destroy my machine! They have not physically billed me! Please help.

We helped the customer resolve all his issues and the customer gave us permission to close the case as resolved. Next day, the customer called us again and asked for a refund. The customer, however, agreed to make a one time payment of $69.99 as we have helped the customer resolve all his issues. These people are nasty and, I believe, dangerous!!! I am going to get to the bottom of their very suspicious operation.

Sorry for the late response I do not  get on my computer anymore do to this issue to check my emails. No my complaint has not been resolved. I have not heard from Tech Matrix regarding my issue, nor have I contacted them since the last time I spoke with them was such a painful headache. All I want them to do is fix my issue and be done with them. I do not care to do further business with them, because I do not trust them at all.

On September **, 2015 I had a pop up on my computer. I did not realize it was a pop-up and thought it really was a warning from [redacted]. I have a [redacted] because I kept getting viruses on my PC and haven't had any since 2009. I was not able to get out of the screen, it kept warning me of all the viruses my computer had and that closing the screen may wipe out my computer. I called the number and was told I had to let the operator scan my computer to check for viruses and if I had any he could send me to a third party business to remove them and offer me security. I asked if he worked with [redacted] and the operator said [redacted]. When I saw my son two days later he went to the [redacted] and asked if this was through [redacted] and was told "Absolutely Not". I immediately called Tech Matrix and told them I wanted to cancel. My reason was that I had no faith in their company because they had lied to get my business. I was promised on September **, 2015 that I would receive a refund, minus $69.99, in 2-3 business days. I called around October [redacted] to check on the refund and was told again it would be 2-3 business days. I told them that if it wasn't in my account in that time, my bank would recoup the total amount. On October ** I initiated a recovery through my bank. Never trust a liar.

The customer was contacted and a full refund will be issued to the customer.  We are taking steps internally to review our processes in hopes of eliminating the problem.
