Fort Turner Reviews (103)

Review: I purchased two items from this business in December of 2012. After several assurances of delivery I NEVER received the items. Now ignores emails.

On December 2nd 2012 I ordered 2 tomahawks Fort Turner online using a credit card. The total with shipping was 142.00. I received a confirmation email. I sent an email on Dec 26th checking on my order and "[redacted]" replied "I'll be working on after the Holiday's, so probably by the 2nd week of Jan." I did not hear anything and did not receive my order. I emailed him again on Feb 12th to check on the order and "[redacted]" replied, " I was very ill in Jan. which pushed things back a bit, working on & will ship as quick as possible." I sent follow up emails over the next couple of months and have not received any answer or my order. The web site is still up and running and taking orders. In the shipping section there is an note

"March 2013 Recent order volume has resulted in an unexpected production backlog. We're working as quickly as possible to fill orders, but because our products are all handcrafted right here at Fort Turner to the highest possible standards, delivery at this time is about 8 weeks out. We generally strive to provide much faster service, and will update our situation as things change. Thank you sincerely for your support and your patience."

I have recently sent several more emails with no reply. The website claims to support military personnel, but I informed Fort Turner one of the tomahawks for for my son, who is now stationed in the Army. Intended it as a gift for him before he left, but obviously that did not happen. This company has photos of military members holding their products on the website. It is shameful how they advertise like this, and then do not follow through with their orders.Desired Settlement: Full refund of credit card charges

Review: Purchased a tomahawk Feb 4, 2014 confirmed shipping details Feb 6 2014. Contacted in June requesting and estimated completion time was told it would be soon. Contacting him again in August and told he was back to working on it. Sent a request on October 3 2014 requesting the item be sent or a refund granted and received no response.Desired Settlement: Refund purchase price

Review: I paid $138.95 for a hand made tomahawk on 8/17/13 and have still not recieved it. Mr [redacted] doesn't return phone calls or e mails and it's almost been a year. When I made the order last year his website said there was an 8 week delay which was ok. His website now says as of April 2014 there is an 8 week back order . I either want the product I ordered or my money back.Desired Settlement: I would like the product I ordered or my money back.

Review: Review: I placed and order for a product in Sept. The website list current delivery times of 8 weeks (http://www.fortturner.com/store/info.htm). I was charged on 26 Sept for the hawk and sheath a total of $132.95. I politely asked for an estimated ship date of the order on 16 DEC 13, 06 JAN 14 and 23 JAN 14. None of these emails were answered. I originally inquired about a deliver date upon order and was not given a firm date. But, this proves that my email was getting received. I requested a refund on 02 FEB 14 and have not received a response.Desired Settlement: At this point I would like a refund in total of $132.95. I wish Fort Turner all the success in the world and hope they can get a handle on their lead times and customer communication.

Review: I placed an order with Fort Turner on 6/24/2013, the lead time posted on their website was 8 weeks. I did not receive my order until 4/5/2014. I was not offered any sort of compensation for having to wait 10 months for them to fill the order. In my opinion this is very poor customer service, which tells me that they don't care about the customer, just the money. if they can't run their business any better than this, it's a wonder they have not gone under yet.Desired Settlement: A free sheath for the tomahawk and a detailed explanation of why I had to wait so long.

Response:

Customer was provided explanation for order delay.

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution almost satisfactory to me. It's painfully clear that the business owner does not understand what customer service is all about. That being said, I reluctantly consider the matter resoved.

Review: Place an order for one Iroquois tomahawk with sheath, total cost $112.95, on 05/09/14. My card was charged for order a few days later.Product has not been delivered as of time of this complaint (11/03/14). I sent emails requesting an update on delivery times on 07/27/14 and 08/26/14. Neither email was responded to at all.Desired Settlement: At this point I would just like the price I was charged refunded and the order cancelled.

Review: I ordered a Spiked Norse Tomahawk and paid for it on 4/6/2014. I received a confirmation of my order. I requested it be sent as soon as possible as it was for a wedding present in June.I emailed the company several times requesting an update with no response.I called the company several times and left a message, never talked to a person, with no response. The have already deducted the money from my account. That is theft if the product is not delivered.I would like my money back. I will not support a company who conducts business like this.Desired Settlement: I would like the money refunded to the card they have on file that they took the money from.

Review: I placed an order for a Camp Tomahawk and leather sheath on 10/15/14. I received an order comfirmation and I was given an 8 week delivery time. The money was immediately debited from my account. Today is 1/16/15 and I have not received my order. This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my son. I called 2 weeks before Christmas and actually talked to someone on the phone. They took my name and said they would do their best to have the order delivered before Christmas. Since then both my wife and I have called and emailed many times but cannot get a response. My most recent call informed Fort Turner that if I didn't get some sort of response (email or phone call), then I would write a complaint to the Revdex.com and begin working with my bank to reverse the transactions. I left that message on 1/12/15 (via email and voicemail) and have received no response.Desired Settlement: Either the order needs to be filled immediately and shipped within a week (with written / verbal confirmation from Fort Turner) or my money needs to be refunded.

Review: I placed an order to Fort Turner November 14, 2013 and still have not received items. They instantly withdrew the cost of items from my credit card account. I have emailed them three different times and they will not respond. Last time I asked for a refund. I don't mind the delay as much as they won't communicate with their customers.Desired Settlement: I will settle for the items I ordered or a refund.

Review: I ordered and paid for a Rogers Ranger hatchet on October 7th 2014 and still have not received it. It has been over 11 months and still no hatchet. I have repeatedly called and emailed and rarely get a response. On two different occasions I was told it would be shipped out but still nothing. This is outrageous and I want the hatchet or my money back.Desired Settlement: I would prefer to receive the hatchet but if that is not possible I want my money back.

Message: Consumer called on 10/13/2015 at 9:07:46AM and stated " Hi this is Joey Hernandez, I have a complaint with Fort Turner, they sent me the hatchet and all is resolved. Thank you for your help. The business resolved the complaint."

Review: Purchased a Roger's Ranger Tomahawk from Fort Turner in November 2014 and paid using his website. After many attempts to contact he has repeatedly promised delivery. As of July 28, 2015 I still do not have the tomahawk for which I paid approximately $150.00.Desired Settlement: I would either like the tomahawk or a complete refund!

Review: I'm October of 2013 I placed an order online with Fort Turner. The website states it can take up to eight weeks for delivery. Almost two years later, I haven't received the items I purchased. I've attempted to contact the owner several times via email and phone, but haven't received a response.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my purchase of $260.90 and for the owner to update his site and let people know that it takes years to receive his merchandise.

Review: My wife Ordered a norse tomahawk with sheath about two years ago now. She ordered it before my last military deployment, it never showed. She then asked to have it for my return 6 months last, didn't show up, asked for it for Christmas and it didn't show up, then for my birthday again nothing, then for my retirement, and still nothing, christmas, birthday again. She has called and been told" it would be in the mail in two weeks" " your order is on top and I am making it now" Two weeks" now he won't return our calls. I have been calling for about a month everyday or every other day and still nothing. My wife has already paid for this and it would be great if he would answer us back or if we had getting it a long time ago.Desired Settlement: want what was order two years ago

Review: I have waited 1 year to post a Revdex.com Complaint on Fort Turner. I checked Fort Turner's Website on 3/16/2014 and it is still taking orders and it still states a delivery time of 8 weeks just as it did when I placed an order on 3-17-2013. I will now state that I have previously ordered from Fort Turner twice before with no problem. I have been in email contact with Dana Turner a total of 3 times in 2013 but all he said was that he had health issues and that he was behind on orders. As I read the current Revdex.com Complaints against Fort Turner it seems that he is no longer replying to Revdex.com Complaints. I just hope others do research on this company before ordering as you may not get the product you ordered nor a refund.[redacted] - $99.95Shipping $9.00TOTAL $108.95Desired Settlement: I either want delivery of product or a full refund.

Review: Ordered products in May 2013 Have waited required length of time. Can get no correspondence from business.

Ordered on 30 May 2013 web site and have waited amount of time stated on web site for products. These are 1 Rogers Ranger Tomahawk $129.95

4 tomahawk handles $28.00

2 ultimate pro thrower $149.90

knives

Shipping $18.00

TOTAL $325.85

Credit Card was charged on 31 May 2013 for this amount. I e-mailed Fort Turner 2 times to check on progress with no response from him.

I started getting concerned and did some checking and found out from 2 forums that I was not the only one having the same problems. Guys that ordered long before me still had not got there order and with no feedback from Fort Turner.

I e-mailed him 2 more times telling him what I knew and still did not get a response.

At that point I decided to forget it and try to get my money back.Desired Settlement: $325.85 the amount my credit card was charged

Initial Business Response

This order was fulfilled & the customer [redacted] was extremely satisfied with a Great product. Thank you!

Review: I placed an order with Fort Turner for a tomahawk in October 2013. I was charged the full price up front. I still haven't received the tomahawk. I have made numerous requests for my product to be shipped or to be issued a refund. Owner will not respond. This product was a birthday present for someone who has since had two birthdays and is coming up on a third.Desired Settlement: I would like Fort Turner to promptly ship me the tomahawk that I ordered. If, for some reason, this isn't possible then I would like a refund. The order will have been placed under the name [redacted] or [redacted].

Review: I ordered a trapper tomahawk with burgundy sheath from Fort Turner on September 5 2015. After the first month of waiting I reached out via email withe a concern of shipping confirmation or any shipping information. After reading that the shipping is about eight weeks out I then realized why I hadn't received my order yet. By November 5, two months after my order was placed I called Ft. Turner and spoke with the owner and was told that my order will be shipped out by next week. Week after week passed and still no tomahawk. on December 7, I called with my cell phone(same number as when first reached him) eight times and did not receive any answer. I then left a message stating I want a full refund and for him to keep the tomahawk. After frustration got the best of me, I called Fort Turner on my home phone and he answered. I told him my name and am wondering where my product is and he told me he has yet to ship and will ship tomorrow. I then saw that the Revdex.com gave his business an F and multiple other complaints have been filed with my same situation. I have called with 4 different phones trying to get a hold of the owner but no response was given. I will still try to reach out to the company as many times as I can with as many different phones until my money has been refunded to my account.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund without the item ordered. I will also like for no other person to endure the struggles of trying to get a hold of this poorly owned and managed company. It is all a scam!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: In May of 2014 I ordered two tomahawks from Fort Turner totaling $157.90. The confirmation letter is dated May 27, 2014. On July 18th I got an email back after asking the status stating the blanks were forged and it would not be long. On 9/15/2014 I sent an email to Fort Turner stating "Please either send these out or just refund the money. No biggie on not having the product if you are backed up but have not seen a refund or any product." I have gotten no response back. The website states standard delivery time is about 8 weeks so I understand it takes awhile but it has been almost twice that with no response.Desired Settlement: Just refund the money on the card. Nothing really against Fort Turner but had I known it would be twice the time with difficulty getting a response, I would not have ordered. I was beginning to wonder if the owner had passed away until I saw some people posting recently that they were able to speak with him. It's apparent the owner either needs help, needs to stop new orders until caught up, or put a realistic wait time on the site.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

The owner contacted me by phone shortly after Revdex.com contacted him and advised me he'd had some health problems and did not intend to miss by attempted communication. I have not yet received the package but have received a shipping notice and tracking number. Mr. [redacted] was very nice and apologized for the delay and missed communications.

Around November 2013, my wife ordered a hawk from Fort Turner. It never came. After several phone calls and emails, life happened and we forgot about it. I would still like my Christmas gift that my wife ordered.

Review: We ordered a custom-made tomahawk on [redacted] on June 14, 2015. The website stated that production would take 8 weeks. After 10 weeks, we called to get an update and were told that it was being sent the next day. Three weeks later we called again to ask about the purchase and were told the same thing. After two weeks we called again and could not get anyone on the phone. We emailed and called all week and today we found that our numbers have been blocked by Mr. [redacted].Desired Settlement: We'd like our money refunded immediately.
