We were referred to Duane H*** to help us with this health insurance (what we thought was insurance) after my husband started work as a contractor leaving his FT job under which we had standard health insuranceDuane went over basicsNumerous times we mentioned we wanted to make sure what we were getting would be in compliance with the Obamacare requirements for coverage in ***er to avoid the non-insured penaltyWe were assured this would sufficeOnce our documents came in we noticed that not only had we bought "health insurance" we also now had an AD&D plan, workmans comp plan and life insurance for my husband and IThis was not disclosed by DuaneWe don't need these extrasWe have other polices that cover this for usTo our recent findings now we discovered that this $625/mth "Health Insurance" plan is not recognized by the ACA to meet the requirements of "minimum essential coverage." We started this plan with Duane in June, had we known these details sooner, we would have been within the day window to get marketplace coverageNow we will be subject to an ACA tax penalty and are also out months of "health insurance" premiums for this "fake" health insuranceWhat a scamWe feel cheated and robbed

This company uses deceptive business practices, if the A+ rating is not removed by the Revdex.com, I will stop paying the Revdex.com fees for my own company, in protest! The salesman says it will cover most everything, and covers nothing in actualityHe said it was better than BCBS, and is not even close

I recently lost my job In order to get by, I attempted to cancel my health insurance policy with freedom life Their customer service is not able to be reached after business hours and there is no option other than sending an email to cancel your policy in their website I sent the email to cancel and received confirmation that my emailwas received and I also received an email the next day that someone would contact me No one contacted me and I was charged my premium anywayThis is causing my account to be over drawn Their solution is to either send me a check in days or have me send them a copy of my bank statement and maybe receive my money back next week I need my money back to eat This is completely unacceptable to me

Last year I was in the market place looking for health care coverage because I was unhappy with my coverage through the Affordable Care ActI was contacted by two reps from Freedom Life insurance in hopes of getting me take on a policy with themI listened two different representatives give me quotes and answer my questionsThe one question I asked both representatives was do the plans meet the Affordable Care Act requirementsBoth representatives assured me that they would and that come tax time I would be fineThey said that no one ever had a problem with itI then was persuaded to cancel my existing ObamaCare Plan and take on a policy with Freedom LifeFlash forward until tax season, after paying $a month and never even using the policy, I contact them looking for the form for taxesI was then told that their plans don’t meet the Affordable Care Act regulationsIn addition to paying/wasting thousands of dollars on this policy I now have to pay a fine because they

In August of 2016, I was contacted by a representative by the name of *** ***, soliciting health insurance With interest I scheduled an appointment with Mr*** During the appointment Mr*** brought along a colleague for discussion regarding health insurance options for my Fiance and I I specifically discussed with Mr*** my concern to obtain both emergency and catastrophic coverage Both Mr*** and his colleague confirmed their understanding of my concern for such coverage As such, they set up a program for both my Fiance and I to include such coverage
Fast forward to March of 2017, at which time my Fiance - *** *** was dining at a restaurant in PA and chocked on a piece of steak As a result he was transported to the local hospital It was determined that surgery was necessary in order to dislodge the object This incident resulted in a well over $6,in hospital, surgeon and related bills

*** ***, a sales rep for Freedom Life Insurance, sold my husband & I a health insurance plan with a rate guarantee for years He told both my husband & I, in separate phone conversations, that the rate would be lockfor years My rate was increased 15-months later, and now he denies that he told us otherwise
I filed a complaint with his company on March 28, 2018, but have not received any kind of reply or follow-up
I spoke with "***" at his company, who told me my contract/paperwork does not state a 3-yr rate
There was a lot of information to sort through & consider when reviewing the paperwork, so if that is the case, then I missed that As I said, *** ***, clearly stated in separate conversations, that there was a 3-yr lockrate, so we bought the plans based on his sales tactic
I wish I would have recorded our phone conversations with him, but will certainly do that in the future!!

Freedom Life Insurance Company has very bad business practices when it comes to their consumers in their health insurance division Their notifications are flawed For instance, it was just made aware to me after I went to the Doctor that I did not have health insurance when I spoke with an associate in June of to confirm automatic payment withdrawals Apparently, the payment was not taken and the automatic billing was not done Their communication to let me know this was lax and nonexistent The end result is their associates covered up their mistake to make me, the consumer, feel as if I was just another person calling without coverage and did not want to accept responsibility for their actions My initial US Health Group Advisor quit over a year ago a soon as my plan began when he figured out that the business practices of this company was flawed and unreasonable

This company enrolled me and charged for a health care plan prior to my consent being obtainedI have emails that direct me to complete an online confirmation in order to be enrolled and I did not complete this confirmationI spoke with the representative that I was working with to find out how and why this happened but he simply told me I mist have given consent at some pointI told him I would like my enrollment cancelled and my money returnedHe said he would contact the main office and get back with me but he has not

This company is the reason most people do not trust big corporationsMy daughter has been diagnosed with Cervical Dysplasia (SP)She went in to schedule the procedure for removal of these pre-cancerous cells and was told her policy did not cover any of itIf she still wanted it done she would have to pay up front costs of $or the surgery would be cancelledI found in my specific policy that indeed this diagnosis is covered and now once again...my wife is sitting on hold waiting to argue our pointLast week we all had eye appointments scheduled on the 1st of May, Lenscrafters said our policy had been cancelledWe had taken our child out of school, I had left the office early to get this doneMy wife gets to endure another painful phone call most of which spent on hold.It turns out it wasn't cancelled they just weren't approving anything until the premium had posted (auto-draft by the way) on the 2nd of MayI hope they enjoy my bill for time lost at work at their expenseIt's a lot more than their premium

Please avoid this companyThey make all the promises of helping you when something major comes upWell something major came up and we tried to upgrade plans which by the way takes them months to review and then based on nothing they denyWe appealed and they denied again based on nothing yet againPlease, please avoid this company, they are a scam and don't want to help youAll they care about is signing you up to make money of you

Super bummed I got this joke for health coverageMy plan was not aca compliant and I was tricked to believe it was with my rep saying “you won’t get penalized during tax seasonIt just doesn’t happen because you do have this coverage.”
Sounds great a first if you just want minimum coverage but this company doesn’t care about you and will make no effort to help you when something goes wrongDO NOT USE THISYou get what you pay for

I was sold this policy by a gentleman named *** ***I was told I was buying comprehensive insurance on a recorded lineI was explained all preventative care was covered completelyAfter paying the enrollment fee and then another month of $was drawn out I was told that preventative care was covered they wouldn’t cover her shotsBad sales tactics and misrepresentation of services

I have health and accident insurance thrue these guys and I broke my ankle and they don't want to pay and their customer service sucks they will call you a liar

This company is a ripoff!! I was told 100% by their salesperson that I would get routine doctors visits per yearI got covered in April and went to the doctor at the end of JulyThe doctor told me that everything would be covered as wellToday I received a bill from the doctor for $250!! I called the doctor's office and they said that the insurance would not pay for coverageSo I called the insurance and the rudest lady (probably because they have to deal with angry people all day every day) told me that they do not cover routine visits only if you were sickSo then I asked "well how much do you cover if I'm sick?" She replies "$75"!!! WOOO!! I Whole $WOW THANK YOU SO MUCHI'm so glad I glad I could spend $3,a year for that $you took off of my $doctor billSo yes I promptly asked to speak to the person who can help me cancel my policyI'm young and this is my first experience with insurance companies and I just hope that this can keep someone from making the same costly mistake I did

After researching insurance companies I received a call from Freedom healthThe agent was very nice and told me everything I wanted to hearIt sounded like great insurance for my familyThen we needed to use it for my husbands wellness checkupI was told that all preventative care and wellness checks were coveredNow after paying $500/month, I am receiving bills from the hospital to cover the entire visitOver $in billsI was lied to and deceived by this companyThey have stolen my money by feeding me full of crap

I purchased insurance from Freedom Life since I fell off my parents plan
I have been having seizures so went to Doctors in the *** ** *** medical group
I visited doctors and had lab work done as prescribed by the doctors
Freedom Life denied the claims because visits to an outpatient hospital or Emergency room are not coveredWhen I called they said this was because the doctors were using the hospitals non profit tax ID numberI have tried to contact them to find how to contest denials but they will not tell me, they keep transferring me to other offices

Very easy policy to follow, saved me thousands last year and little out of my pocket
