One of the health agents, Adam was able to quickly find me a plan that worked for my daughter and II am so happy with our coverage thus far and the customer service that we have received!

We decided to sign up with Freedom Life in January to save money on our health careBeing a young healthy couple our agent signed us up for a completely different plan than what we originally discussedWe have pages of notes of questions we asked with answers he had, none have matched upAnd can you imagine that he no longer is with the companyAll the money we've saved has went toward bills of regular visits of nothing covered, thousands of dollars nowThey refer me to call the number on the back of the card instead of giving me an agent nowTerrible coverage, terrible customer service and never get questions answeredDefiantly get what you pay for and don't believe your agent they tell you what you want to hear to make the sale instead of being educated on the actual coverage

I want to share my experience so that fewer people will make the mistake I made Health insurance premiums were and are still very expensive, which during the time, and did not fit into our family budgetBut I did not want my children uninsured So I searched for a policy which would cover emergent situations/tragedy and signed up with a Cigna policy under Freedom Life Insurance company of America Well, recently, my son had to go to the emergency for a dislocated knee and torn ligament I received bill for over $for which physican's visit and surgery in an outpatient and emergency room were not covered
I believe the representative and company could have done a better job of explaining the benefits in laymen terms and given real-life scenarios of examples of benefits I am really disappointed and now stuck with this huge bill after months of paying their premiums

Freedom life insurance company explained to us that they were an insurance company and that our wellness visits to the doctor and my *** *** would be covered We started paying into them monthly for years As it turns out we never tried using it until June 21, when I was diagnosed with *** *** My hospital where I was treated told me that was a discount card not an insurance company and that I was lied to So I do not want to be out all this money that I have paid them over the years and too make matters worse the hospital is sending me to collections for dollars I would appreciate any help regarding this situation I also can be reached at 586-777-if you want to speak with me *** ***

I have been extremely pleased with the service and support I have received from Freedom Life and my local representative, Chris S*** of Denver, CO I refer as many people as I can to him and to Freedom Life
I was in a position where I couldn't afford to purchase a plan though the government exchange I am a single mom and was looking at having to pay over $a month for a bronze level plan with a $10k deductible and $co-paysThat meant I would have to pay over $19k a year BEFORE my insurance carrier would pitch in! There was no way I could pay this Freedom Life's plan provided me with the level of protection I needed for myself and my kids at a rate that did not break my budget I understood the inclusions and exclusions of my policy and knew that it was not going to meet the ACA guidelines for coverage Regardless of the potential fines I might be subject to, Freedom Life's policy has saved me over $17k a year in medical expenses
I have also had to use my plan and found the claims process quick and efficient My son started having some medical issues late in which carried over through May of Freedom Life made it very easy for me to buy up to the high level plan and they were great about going back and paying outstanding claims
My local agent was fantastic in helping me navigate the process and I am grateful to him for his assistance
I have read several of the negative reviews and it's unfortunate I think people need to start taking responsibility when it comes to their health care needs It is the policyholders responsibility to READ their plan documents It is the policyholders responsibility to ask questions if there is something that doesn't make sense or is unclear It is the policyholders responsibility to know what is included and excluded in his/her plan Often people are quick to complain about a company without first acknowledging their part in the process
I also feel that people need to remember that this company is not run by robots People make mistakes It's how those mistakes are handled that matters

This business is a total rip offEverything with this company is pre-existingThey want your money., However they don't want to pay for any claimsAnyone that is concidering getting health insurance from Freedom Life Of Texas - You have been warned! I for one am taking legal actions against this company as I feel like it needs to stopThis company is a rip off

I understand that as a consumer you should always read everything before you give someone money and the fault lies solely on me I did not and learned a $mistake That being said legal what Freedom Life Insurance/US Health Group sold me is 100% okay but ETHICALLY AND MORALLY it is wrong The First question I asked about my "policy" was will this plan steer me clear of the IRS penalty and I was told yes at the time of purchaseNot only will I be penalized but I also still need health coverage They sell what sounds amazing at $a month but after my claim was denied for a non emergency room visit to the doctor I read through the four 30+ page documents and there are catches
And I quote "The coverage under this policy does not cover ACCIDENTAL INJURIES OR PROVIDE MAJOR MEDICAL MEDICAL INSURANCE, AND IS NEITHER MINIMUM ESSENTIAL COVERAGE UNDER FEDERAL LAW NOR WORKER'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE UNDER STATE LAW THIS POLICY PROVIDES ONLY DEFINED SICKNESS AND ILLNESS INSURANCE COVERAGE THAT PAYS IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER IN-FORCE COVERAGE IF INSUREDS DO NOT HAVE MINIMUM ESSENTIAL FEDERAL LAW, AN ADDITIONAL PAYMENT WITH THEIR TAXES MAY BE REQUIRED."
and THE FACT THAT A PROVIDER PRESCRIBED, ORDERED, RECOMMENDED OR APPROVED A SERVICE, SUPPLY, TREATMENT OR CONFINEMENT DOES NOT IN AN OF IT SELF MAKE IT MEDICALLY NECESSARY OR A MEDICAL NECESSITY
Is this stating just because a doctor did any of the above Freedom Life ultimately decides just how medically necessary any procedure or is Ever see the move Rainmaker?......same thing At the end of the day I feel as if the wool was pulled over my eyes...who in their right mind would pay almost $a month for non-AHCA compliant insurance Read read read

I bought this insurance thinking it paid for hospitalization but I was in the hospital twice an now owe I don't believe I was told this I would like for them to pay this

I have had my Health Insurance with Freedom Life Insurance Co of America for several years nowI use to have an individual plan with Blue Cross/Blue Shield and the cost just kept going up and upI wanted a change and I definitely did not want Obamacare and I chose not be be on my husband's HMOCharley *** has been my Health Insurance Agent and he is not only honest, reliable, and dependable, but an all around awesome guyI love the insurance plan I have because I can FIT it to my needsAs a healthy year old female on NO medications, I can not see paying thousands of dollars a month for something I really don't use or needShould something come up, I can always Upgrade or Step Up my plan to fit my new needWhenever I need anything, all I have to do is call Charley and he is always there to assist and give advice
