I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I reject this because when spoken to over the phone first it was a 30 dollar fee, then you needed a written statement, then I wouldn't get back all the money, and then I needed to show coverage from another insurance company. Every single time they have contacted me, they are inconsistent with how the cancellation process happens. Another insurance agency I have talked to said they are required by law to cancel a policy of the customer wishes and to refund all the money that was left over apart from the days being insured. With it being this long in time it's crazy that I have not been able to simply cancel and get my money back. Every time the company has contacted me there's always a new piece of information added to the process of cancelling from the fees to the process. I would like this policy terminated immediately with refund of the money I paid. It is crazy that I had the insurance for an hour and when I called to cancel they 1. Didn't find my policy and 2. Said I would be subject to losing about 100-150 dollars of the 348 dollars I paid. I had the insurance for literally an hour. They should respect that I found a better rate and would like to cancel. It is crazy that it has taken them this long, which is extremely unprofessional

database.

So I got insurance from freeway early October 2015 because I wanted to get insurance for my car since the traffic amisty program in CA was in effect. And I planned on getting my license back. So I got a call from them and I short story I have them all my info and they quoted me for $125 a month. I thought that was good until the guy said I needed $400 as a down payment. Then I said I couldn't afford that right now. I really should have stopped there when he said how much can you pay today. But stupid me, wanted to get this guy off the phone I said $200. So he said ok pay $200 right now and the policy would go into effect. I needed the insurance anyways so I went for it. Then he tells me that he has to walk me through the paperwork. Witch he did. He told me to scroll down and sign here, and scroll down and initial here. Basically rushing me through the paperwork. Somewhere during that he now mentions the other $200 that I didn't pay today I have to pay in two weeks. In the middle when I'm already signing the paperwork and with him still rushing me. After when I finally made the payment. I noticed his demeanor changed and he's like ok your insured. And he hung up.
I didn't feel right about the way he rushed me like that. So I went online and looked at reviews for freeway and of course there not good. It was there I learned about the $285 non refundable broker fee that was apart of the down payment I made. It was then I felt I wanted to cancel. I didn't want to support a shady business like this. But I didn't have the paperwork yet so I waited till I did and 3 weeks later I finally got the paperwork in the mail. And I read in the paperwork of the broker fee the guy never disclosed over the phone. I read that and I was pissed. So I called them and they said I have to cancel the insurance through the insurance company. I felt it really was a waist of time because I'm not getting the $200 I put for the down payment back. During this time they kept pulling from my checking account and overdrafting it. Plus there $25 fee freeway insurance charges in a separate transaction. Since they were 2 separate transactions my bank charged me $70 instead of $35 each time they tried to pull out of my bank. Now as of this posting I'm -$625 in my checking account. And now a couple of days ago they had the nerve to call me demanding for the remainder $200 I supposedly owe them. I tried explaining the situation and how I didn't like how the guy rushed me and didn't disclose the broker fee and he said "well were brokers what do you expect" and "nobody could rush you into signing paperwork" "you should have asked him to go slow" then he started threatening me saying "We sent your account to the state program for bad checks and your gonna get in trouble" but he said "we told them were gonna talk with our customer and see if he can make the payment" that's when I hung up.
I hope someone reads this review adapt because this company is a scam... A legal scam, but still a scam!

We strive to provide the best possible customer service for our clients and appreciate the feedback so that we may improve our service level. accommodate her financially. She paid $200 on the date of the sale and the remaining balance of $199.40 was due to be charged to her credit card on 08/16/2016. We attempted to charge the balance owed on 08/16/2016 however the transaction was declined. On 08/22/2016 the customer contacted our sales office about processing a change of vehicle on the policy. She was advised that there would be a $100 endorsement fee and no change was done. A few hours later the customer called our CS Department upset about the $100 fee to change the vehicle on the policy in addition to the balance owed of $199.40. Our representative offered to waive the balance of $199.40 as a courtesy which she accepted. She never requested the change of vehicle and instead, she requested the policy canceled on 9/3/16. The customer advised that she did not purchase the vehicle that was on the policy. She was advised that in order to backdate the cancellation, the insurance company would require proof of not purchasing which she is unable to provide. As she was insured for almost a month, the carrier has advised that there is no further refund due.   We apologize for any inconvenience and misunderstanding in regards to this matter.
