My name is *** *** and I am contacting you in regards to a phone call I received from Freeway InsuranceOn June 7, 2016, I would speak with a gentleman by the name of *** stated that he is a claims specialist for Freeway InsuranceDuring the phone call, he would state that of the
initial $I spent, $was a brokers fee and that I should've been informed of suchHe stated that as of a time courtesy, they would refund the $brokers feeI would then ask him about the payment of $that was taken out of my account on May 22, despite them cancelling my insurance the following dayHe would state that they would only refund $of this paymentI would then ask him about the rest of the money spent over the week period and he would state that we had coverage for months and the money would cover those days of coverageI understand this but would voice my displeasure as I feel we were not covered.I was involved in an accident on March 25, and called immediately to report itAs of today, I have not given a official statement despite several phone calls and VMsIn turn, we would rectify the accident situation without the assistance of the insurance companyOn June 6, 2016, I would finally get a call in regards to the accident but it was about taking the car to a certified body shop weeks after the accident*** stated he was sorry for this happening but stated I would not get refunded for thisAlso, since they cancelled our insurance and taken nearly $1000 in weeks, I have gotten a ticket due to my registration being suspended for no insurance.While speaking to ***, I would ask him if I could receive everything in writingHe would respond, "no." He would state that his word was my proof and that everything we discussed would be noted on my freeway recordsHe would then state that freeway and stonewood insurance will not refund any of my money until I contact the Revdex.com and have the complaint removedI did not agree to this and was utterly offended by suchFor a company to take $971 in weeks and provide the service of taking weeks to respond to an accident is insaneThen top it off by asking the customer to take employees word as bond that they would be refunded is 100% unbelievable.I am emailing you hoping for some assistance on what I can and should do nextWe have been uninsured for weeks now as I don't have the finances to pay another insurance company while waiting for Freeway Insurance to right a wrongI appreciate your time and assistance

The customer was quoted with monthly payments of $due on the 16th of every month as listed on the application signed by the customer We received a phone call from the customer inquiring on changing the due date; however the insurance company, Infinity, advised that it
could not be changedPayments have always been due on the 16th; however, they do give more time to pay before actually cancelling the policy. Infinity issued a billing notice on September with a due date of September and when the payment was not received, a cancellation notice was issued to be effective on October if payment was not receivedNo payment was received and the policy canceled on October 3. After receiving the complaint, we made numerous attempts to contact the customer to no availWe welcome the customer to contact our Customer Service Department at ***, Monday through Friday from 8:am to 5:

In regards to the customer's concern, our Producer informed the customer that a short rate cancellation fee would be charged by the *** Insurance Company*** policy disclosure mailed to the customer notes that they may charge a cancellation fee*** has processed the cancellation
request and mailed a Notice of Cancellation stating the calculated refund and feeWe were informed by *** that a letter of experience from the current carrier is needed for review on the possible flat cancellation requestOur Customer Service Representative has spoken to the customer and informed of the information and has also contacted the customer's carrier to obtain the necessary documentation

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have sent documents showing why the vehicle could not have been registered and they were sent to *** ***I know I was supposedly "waived" for the second fee but every time I put up with the agents on the phone, they told me i'd have to pay $200, $100, and $I even called to see if it was waived and it was not according to the people who deal with paymentsThe last time I spoke with a freeway rep, it was $and an inspection I was looking at to switch the vehicleIt was also brought to my attention that it is illegal to refer to the brokers fee as a down payment for insuranceAnd $is way too much for a brokers fee in any news considering my insurance was only $a monthI am currently insured with state farm and only had to pay $which is my rateSo this whole scandal is absurd and I am not sure how freeway has gotten away with itSo, -' I going to have to contact the DMV and ask for something in writing? because it seems to me freeeway won't bother at all to lift a fingerLet me know

I simply needed liability ins for a car I rarely use and was quoted at $a monthI receive an invoice for $a month for my 'first installment' days after signing upLittle did I know, like many others, that I was duped into a verbal agreement into believing the downpayment would go toward my overall insurance balanceMy dep was only $232, so I am luckier than mostI was also misquoted in my monthly payments going from $to $I called their customer service and they said well there's nothing we can do for you besides issue you a refund of $b/c X dollars went here and then it went there and we are only left with X amount after everyone has their hand in the potI asked for the difference of my first month's policy and to be credited the restI feel that is fair and they didn'tI understand the fine print is to cover their ends but they should verbally disclose what the downpaymentThey assume you wont read the fine print which most don'tIt's overall just bad business practices to allow their salespeople to intentionally omit information that most would stop and think about before agreeing
