I was experiencing some problems with my A/C So, I had scheduled a A/C Inspection I received a phone call from the technician, [redacted] ahead of time stating that he was on his way [redacted] was very professional, knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the issues and possible remedies
Brian [redacted] was exceptionalHe was very personable, explained several options for the work to be done, then cheerfully allowed me to modify the options to the one that I preferredThe work was extensive covering several days and he worked long hours to get it done as quickly as possible, while making sure that the work was done with the highest qualityI couldn't be more pleased with the results, and would highly recommend him and Genz-Ryan
We had a service plan with Genz-Ryan and after the first two visits they made to their house, it's two strikes, they're out First, we were charged extremely high prices for service and labor ($for a $part to be installed) The technician sold us an upgraded motor for our furnace We do not know how to install any HVAC equipment, so to be honest, we just paid it Second, we had a technician come to do an A/C checkup and not only was the service tech rude to me, but my wife He also answered a phone call from his dispatcher on speakerphone while working in our house - the dispatcher told him he needed to go back to his last call because he was there an hour ago and their A/C did not work He responded very sarcastically and made fun of the customer We felt this was unprofessional Then, as he was leaving, I asked if we could have the old part back that he had upgraded He responded by telling me that it was "his part now" and that I could not have it back He put it in his bag and told me "possession is 9/of the rule, so it's not yours anymore." I will never know why he wanted to take that part and not give it back to me, but the next part of this story is what made me very suspicious Just one day after the service had been completed, our A/C did not work I called Genz-Ryan to have them come back and fix our A/C They sent a technician back the same day I called Apparently the original technician had wired the unit incorrectly and forgotten to turn the power back on The technician who ultimately made the repair made an excuse that it might have been "a long day" for the guy who made the mistakesMy opinion, Genz-Ryan -- don't send a technician out who cannot perform the service I called Genz-Ryan to try and reach a solution, and fortunately, their customer service manager allowed me to get out of the service plan Based on this experience, and experiences other customers I know have had, I would not recommend this business to anyone I know
I spoke to three different employees and each one was friendly and helpfulOur service tech, ***, did a fast and thorough job of giving our furnace a sorely needed tune-up He had no problem answering the dozens of questions we had Also, I appreciated that he didn't try to pressure us into spending more money

Terry H came out for routine furnace maintenance and it ended up being much complex than that There were two other potentially significant issues he ended up troubleshooting and resolving before he left All through the process he was willing to answer all my questions to make sure I completely understood what he was doing He wanted to make sure I understood the problems so I could prevent them in the future The service was OUTSTANDINg and he was incredibly patient and understandingI'd pick him again in a heartbeat
We've had Genz Ryan Plumbing put in a water heater in the past The service tech was very efficient and nice When we had another plumbing issue with the plumbing under the kitchen sink, we didn't hesitate to call Genz Ryan We had Brian, the service tech, fix the issue and then he checked all the other plumbing in the home He found the handle to the home's hot water shut-off (upper valve) was extremely hard to close My wife would've found it impossible to shut the water off if she would have had to Brian put a new handle on that is user friendly My wife and I feel confident that, if there is an emergency, we both can shut the water off This is something we wouldn't have thought to check until we actually needed to use it...so thank you Brian Brian also pointed to some issues that may need maintenance in the future Very knowledge, patient with all the questions we had, and to top it off he did a great job fixing the issues at hand Customer service and a job well done is what keeps us going back to a business
Joel P performed an exemplary job for us He efficiently repalced our kitchen faucet to remedy our leak, rebuilt the bathroom sink stopper, fixed a leak in our water supply pipe, and did a major job in fixing our hydronic heating system which was not circulating in the pipes That involved a new air device, circulating pump, and additive to protect against future corrosion in the pipes
