Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the recently filed complaint of *** ***We appreciate the role the Revdex.com serves in resolving consumer concernsAccording to Mr***’s compliant, after he had paid off his Auto Title Loan with Buckeye Check Cashing Stores of
Arizona, Inc(“CheckSmart”), he was told his title would be returned to him within 7-days. However, he has not received his title and is requesting we promptly return it to himIn researching Mr***’s complaint, we found that the District Manager of the retail branch, in which Mr*** conducted business, has spoken directly with Mr***, has expedited the process to have Mr***’s title sent to him and has addressed his additional concerns regarding the customer service representativeMr*** expressed satisfaction and thanked the District Manager for her assistance in resolving his concerns. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the recently
filed complaint of Mr*** ***We appreciate the role the RevDex.com serves in resolving consumer concerns
According to our records, Mr*** sought the assistance of
California Check Cashing Stores, LLC (“CCCS”)
in obtaining a loan on April 10,
2015. Mr*** borrowed $2,576.00,
which includes an “Amount Financed” of $2,and an “Administrative Fee” of
$75.00. This was a month loan with
monthly payments of $400.39. To date,
CCCS has received $1,toward the balance.
Mr***’s complaint, as I understand it, is that he was “tricked”
into this high cost loan and is additionally frustrated that his first two
payments only lowered his principal amount due slightly
With regard to the loan cost, Mr***’s loan document
contains the following notice on its front page:
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BORROWERS: THIS
IS A HIGH COST LOANYOU MAY BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A LOAN FROM SOMEONE ELSE AT A
LOWER RATE OF FINANCE CHARGETHINK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO TAKE THIS
LOAN
This notice is capitalized and in large bold typeThe Annual
Percentage Rate is also clearly disclosed to be 186.07% APR on the front page
of the loan agreement
As for the application of his first two payments, as is
typical with many installment loans, the early payments are allocated heavily
toward interestAs he continues to make payments, his principal will continue
to be reduced
As an accommodation to Mr***, his account has been
placed in a “hold” status, which means collection attempts have been
temporarily suspended. CCCS would be
happy to assist Mr*** directly in resolving this account. Please ask him to contact Andrea V***, a
senior supervisor in our collections area by October 26, to make
arrangements for payment of his outstanding account balance. MsVishak can be reached at ###-###-####,

Should you or Mr*** have any
additional questions, I can be contact directly by phone at ###-###-####

Under the Line of Credit Agreement, had she paid back the initial advance within twenty-five days, she would have paid no interest or finance charges on that advance. Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the recently filed complaint of Frank ***. We appreciate the role the Revdex.com plays in resolving consumer concerns In reviewing our records, Cash Central was forwarded Mr***’s loan application on March 3, from *** and
promptly approved his borrowing request. On March 3, 2016, he entered into a loan agreement with Cash CentralThis was a $payday loan, which was paid on March 11, 2016. On May 26, a $2,Installment loan was obtained, with biweekly payments for $188.68. Cash Central received no payments toward the balance As the loan appears to be an identity theft incident, Cash Central can send instructions to Mr*** which included instructions on completing the FTC Identity Theft Affidavit and instructions on filing a police report. We ask Mr*** to contact our Corporate Customer Service Department at ###-###-#### for assistance with his fraud claim. Once the requested fraud documents are received, Cash Central will request that the credit reporting agencies remove any information concerning the Cash Central loan from Mr***’s file. In researching the situation, the calls were placed to Ms
***’s daughter’s cell phone number because one of our customers listed that
number as his own phone number.
I
have reviewed the call log and it indicates on August 3, a call was placed
to the cell phone number. Ms***’s
daughter then contacted us the same day, claiming we had called the wrong number. We then removed the phone number from our
call system and we did not make further calls to that number
We have now placed the phone number on our do not call
list to prevent further calls from occurring and I would like to offer my apologies for
the inconvenience this has caused Ms*** and her daughter
I
sincerely hope that this fully addresses Ms***’s concerns. Should you have any questions, please feel
free to contact me at ###-###-####

Our records indicate on August 17, 2015, an inquiry was
submitted regarding a possible loan with the name of
*** *** and
contact number ###-###-####. This
inquiry was submitted through a website operated by an unaffiliated marketing
firmThat marketing firm forwarded the information, along with a social security
number and email address that, according to what Ms*** provided to our
customer service representative by phone on August 21, 2015, did not match her
social security number or her email address
We can confirm that no loan was applied for, originated or
funded based on the information submitted on August 17, and a letter
regarding this matter has been sent to Ms*** per her request.
We would
