The student population in the online courses involving technology (programming) is very lowI started a class last week with one other personThe class has discussion policies as well as group assignmentsSometime during the first week the other student dropped the courseI emailed my adviser that Sunday that I too would like to drop the course because now not only do I have no way to meet the requirements, but I have no one to work with on an already intense subjectMy adviser told me that if I want to drop I will have to pay in full for the class I am dropping, as well as the full price for the class when there are more students in itHe also suggested that I message my professor to see if he can change the course requirementsI have messaged the professor, posted assignments, posted in the forum but the professor has not even posted a single reply! What am I supposed to do? I asked to speak to someone else besides my adviser and he stated "There is no one else"? The school co

To whom it may concern/Revdex.com, I am writing this letter to express my concern and to question the balance that I have on my account originally $2,for a stipend check that I received from Grand Canyon University (GCU) minus $1,which was written off, which brought the balance to $1,minus $to waive the fee to receive the paper degree which the balance should be $1,I went through several appeal reviews, but the balance remains I just want the balance to be removed/cleared to a (0) balance so I can receive my BS Degree Certification on paper and transcripts and be done with Grand Canyon University (GCU) and look into other schools so I can complete my Master’s Degree
After several appeal reviews and waiting on the last decision, I contacted the Revdex.com (Revdex.com) and started doing a little research and came to find that this isn't the first finance/ billing issue Grand Canyon University (GCU) has had in the past, and many more alone with the Better

I was registered for graduate course and after being into the course for less than a week I decided to withdraw The collage refused to grant my withdrawal and is now holding me liable for the full price of the course I was told if I withdraw within the first week I should only be liable for 25% of the course I was advised to reach out to the instructor to explain my withdrawal however, by doing so this logged me into the student portal which marked me down for an attendance By doing so I was passed my one week mark which now puts me into the full price admissionI was never given proper instructions on how to withdraw from a course or anything explaining the fees incurred I was basically scammed by a company who claims to uphold Christian values,

Hello, I am writing to file a complaint is against Grand Canyon University and their PhD programThe allegation that I am reporting is not only Program Fraud, Mismanagement, Consumer Complaint, Quality of Service, Quality of Education, and Theft of Govt PropertyGrand Canyon University has taken 92,of federal student aid in my nameThey have made promises that they cannot keep
I have been in GCU’s PhD program since 1/26/I have passed and completed every aspect of the degree’s pre-dissertation programI have tried to complete my dissertation but they are making it impossibleThey keep telling me I must give them more moneyThis last time they told me I needed to request a graduate plus loan to receive my PhD
I believe that GCU is purposely dragging out the dissertation process for they can collect more student financial aid from the governmentGrand Canyon University is misappropriating my financial aid and the U.S Government My dissertation chair, DrCathy

I have been a student since August
and currently withdrew from GCU altogether in AprilI have
received notice there is a balance on my accountI have had
several issues regarding this chargeIn November, in week of my
epidemiology class I had emergency surgeryI informed my student
advisor, Desiree, of the incident and asked what I could do
since I couldn't finish the coursework in the hospital or during
recoveryShe told me to ask my professor for an incomplete, which I
didHe responded saying I could, but didn't follow up with deadlines
and in order for me to continue as a full time student I was convinced
it was best to take the F and retake the classAfter successfully
passing the class after having to withdraw from the first retake
because the professor was obviously not on the same grading rubric as
my first or third teacher, I had to withdrawI was set to start Bio
in April but after one discussion post on the first day of clas

I was an online student at Grand Canyon University from 2015-and experienced a myriad of issues during my tenureI was told during calls with my counselor that scholarships were available to online students only to find out after asking several times that they were notThe counselors would have me looking through the website knowing that they were not offered while being vague during my questioning of scholarshipsI visited Phoenix and scheduled a time to visit the campus and was questioned profusely of why I was visiting the campus and what my needs wereDuring the visit I was met by blatant racism, given the runaround, and lied to as to where I could secure my student ID, which is something that was paid for in my tuition costIn questioning staff about my student loans I was rushed during calls and provided with confusing informationIn taking several classes I was ostracized about my writing topics and disrespected for sharing my point of view on religious topics based s

I am filing a complaint against Grand Canyon University because I received a phone a call today March 23, to verify that I will not attend the school after all March 21, was to be my first day but due to some family issues I will not be able to attend I was told that I will have to pay plus dollars back simply because I told the professor that I will not be able to attend class I have never even started class In the same conversation I was later told that it will be plus dollars I I received a call on Fridaty from a Joshua M*** at work He was giving me information on the school but I kept telling him that I could not hear him I was told today that I was sent an email from him I double check my emails and the only emails that I have from anyone at Grand Canyon University are from Jacque P*** who is the Student Counselor I feel that I should not be paying back anything for classes that I have not even attended

I've been a student at Grand Canyon University for the past monthsI was enrolled in the Masters Program for special education I was happy with the program and everything was going wellOne morning when I logged on to start my next class I was not able to log in to my student portalAfter contacting a student service adviser I was told that I was temporarily kicked out of the program for a year The student service adviser explained that since my GPA was not written on my B.ATranscript, I was accepted with specifications and therefore I was treated differentlyIt seems like I was kicked out for a year for no real reason!

Graduated from GCU in with a MS in Professional Counseling When I applied to the program I transferred credits from another college and was told that there "might" be licensing issues but all the classes were similar so it looks like the program meets licensure requirements Now, tons of money later, when I sent my documentation to GCU to get filled out this is the response I get "GCU does not currently offer professional counseling classes in Illinois nor a Professional Counseling degree in the state of IllinoisDid you move there since you graduated? You may need the State Board for Illinois to help you identify what they need from you in order to get your licensureIf classes do not match, ask them what you should doThey also have a requirement called 1-year residency in their State that precludes GCU from being fully state compliant." They knew my location when I signed up, and took the classes I feel this is fraud! Obviously I was "offered" classes in the state of Illinois! Beware!

I enrolled in Grand Canyon University May 4, The enrollment process was extremely simple, since I have never filed taxes and had no incomeOn April 20, my FAFSA application was complete for the 2015-school yearFast forward to January 2016, the school starts putting me through "verification" even though none of my financial information had changedVerification is a and random process for some college students, but this school is still demanding verification as of May 3, 2016, asking me to send emails stating things like how much I paid for food specifically in 2014, who gave me rides to and from different places in 2014, and how much my father paid for my cell phone bill in They are essentially questions that have nothing to do with verifying my financial informationI have called endlessly for the last months to reach someone at this school: I always get told my student services adviser is "not in the office today" I have left over voicemails for

I'm currently taking my second course ever with this University and am very upset like many of these comments First, an instructor informs me that she can't clarify an assignment via email? I beg your pardon? And I'm also having troubles with using my federal aid to be stipend for its purposes and one of those agents really tried to make me feel useless but if only I could climb through those phone lines, matters wouldn't exist The student counselor sends me lousy emails, the enrollment counselor no longer communicates on issues that I"m expressing, and along with that first instructor I had, makes STRIKES Action needs to be taken out on this school...ASAP #NOSTARS

Grand Canyon University (“GCU”) is in receipt of Ms*** ***’s complaint and we value the opportunity to respond The issue has been reviewed by *** ***, the Executive Director of Student Servicers in the College of Doctoral Studies, and based on that review; GCU has determined
that Ms***’s complaint was appropriately resolvedThis determination is based on the following information:Ms*** has been a student at Grand Canyon University since and should be well versed on University Policy as it relates to drop and refund policyBy signing her Enrollment Agreement, Ms*** acknowledged having access to GCU’s Academic Catalog and Student Handbook which contained the most up-to-date information and all University policies to include cancellation and refund policiesAs well, this information is available for public review in the University Policy Handbook located on the gcu.edu website and was further reviewed in detail at the time of enrollment As for Ms***’s complaint that she was eligible for $2,to cover the cost of her course, had Ms*** stayed in her original program, she could have provided a statement to GCU authorizing us to bring in an additional $2,in financial aid to cover the cost of her dropped courseHowever, she changed programs thus her loans were recalculated and it created an overlapping loan with her new program so she was no longer eligible to bring in those additional funds However, as a means to offset the costs, GCU offered Ms*** a tuition credit in the amount of $1, On 8/1/GCU applied the credit properly to the academic year in which the drop fees occurred After this write off, that prior academic year still had an outstanding balance due in the amount of $which was the responsibility of Ms***.As stated above, Ms*** changed her program emphasis which created a new academic year on 7/11/and financial aid to cover the first payment period was received on 7/26/ Unfortunately, Ms*** failed the first course in this new academic year but did pass the second course (residency)Additionally, Ms*** did not continue after the second courseTherefore, since she did not earn the required credit to maintain the financial aid on account (due to failed grade not earning academic credit), Ms***’s account became subject to the Department of Education’s return to lender calculationGCU was unable to keep a portion of the financial aid received, which opened an additional balance on Ms***’s account in the amount of $2,for a total amount due of $3,($+ $2,595.35)Since Ms*** was nearing her lifetime aggregate limits for federal financial aid, she was counseled multiple times to apply for a federal Grad PLUS loan to assist with the balance and to help her complete her programOver follow up attempts to work with Ms*** on ways to resolve this balance went without follow throughShe also did not complete the Grad PLUS loan as she stated she would. In regards to the partnership discount which Ms*** states she should have received, GCU does not have a partnership with the employer Ms*** listed on her original admissions application If she has a Memorandum of Understanding that she received from a GCU employee, or has other documentation that GCU may research to determine eligibility we are more than happy to do soHowever, at this time, there is no documentation on file that indicates Ms*** was employed by a current academic partner for the College of Doctoral Studies and this documentation should have been provided prior to enrollment for any discounts to have been applied We respectfully request any written documentation from GCU that Ms*** has so we may further research the matter. In summary, GCU did honor the write off for the dropped course that was promised to Ms***, and significant attempts to support her with options to address the existing balance are documentedThere is also no documentation on file to support Ms***’s claim of discount eligibility, but again we are happy to further investigate any documentation that she may provide. GCU takes student complaints very seriously and does everything it can to resolve them in an amicable manner I hope the aforementioned information/actions will bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion Sincerely,*** ***Executive Director, Student ServicesCollege of Doctoral StudiesGrand Canyon University

Back in January of 2013, I made a change to my class schedule before the actual class started I was notified by UP financial aid dept that I could make this change with no issues with Financial Aid
Two weeks into the class, I was told that I owed $due to the switched class, and that financial aid could not be used I argued that the school themselves said that aid would still work, but they didn't care This is now impacting my credit report and collection agencies hound me for this, and I still feel like I do not owe this 1) I have the communication that aid would not be impacted, and if they were wrong 2) Zero communication from UP before the class started to say that aid would not work, I would have kept the original class if I was told

I was promised $dollars upon my first year at Grand Canyon University and $1,upon my second year given that I was not transferring any college credits to the schoolThis meant that I would be starting totally from the beginning in obtaining my year bachelors degree and paying over $per credit hour for the classesThis was the promise made to me by the enrollment counselor Jason D*** which I was just recently told no longer works for the UniversityDue to health and personal issues in my almost third year I have to withdraw for a short time to catch up on some thingsUpon looking at my finance ledger I noticed that neither discount was ever appliedI figured it was just something they had forgotten to do and gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured they would be correcting the problemHowever, they said they have no record of it! Well good thing for me I saved all of the emails in the beginning, as well as other documents including the actual MOA discount fo

Grand Canyon University (“GCU”) is in receipt of Ms*** *** rebuttal complaint and we value the opportunity to respond The issue has been reviewed by the Business Division Regional Director of Operations, *** *** and, based on that review, GCU has determined that Ms*** *** complaint was appropriately resolved This determination is based on the following information:GCU’s initial response to Ms***’s complaint should have stated that Ms*** attended GCU from April 25, (rather than 2011) through March 25, GCU recognizes that Ms*** attended during this time frame; other than the breaks mentioned in GCU’s first response The year “2011” was simply a typo and GCU apologizes for any confusion this may have caused In regards to Ms***’s Financial Aid, the facts still stand that upon returning to GCU on February 14, 2011; Ms*** did not disclose that she had attended another university or that she had used financial aid to pay for any coursesIf she had, an additional method of payment would have been required to re-enter so that all costs would be coveredThe loans obtained to pay for courses at *** *** impacted Ms***’s ability to receive the full amount of financial aid when she returned to GCUMs*** states that the loan that she took at *** *** ended on September However, per the *** ** *** website, *** this loan was active through March 29, 2011, thereby overlapping Ms***’s return to GCU on February 14, and greatly reducing the amount of funding remaining to cover her coursesThe overlapping loan was not discovered until after full funding had been disbursed to Ms***.In addition to the above information at the beginning of Ms***’s enrollment at GCU, we received transcripts from *** ***, *** *** ***, *** *** ***, and ***-*** *** *** However, GCU does not have Ms***’s transcripts from *** *** nor do we have any record of conversations regarding *** ***As well, because Ms*** was out of attendance for a period greater than months, per GCU policy, she had to update her program to the latest versionUpon re-entering GCU on February 14, 2011, all credits that had already been transferred in from the above schools and the credits she had already taken here at GCU were re-evaluated and confirmed to cover the proper coursesThis does not include any courses from *** *** as transcripts were never provided to GCU. GCU takes student complaints very seriously and does everything it can to resolve them in an amicable manner I hope the aforementioned information will bring this matter to a satisfactory conclusion Sincerely,*** ***Regional Director of OperationsGrand Canyon University

This college is the biggest jokeThey take your money yet refuse to give you access to your funds so you can buy books and pay for other extra school expensesI have classes left, after the course I am currently taking, then I will graduateI need my funds to pay for my extra expenses, but they will not release them until days before my final class endsThere is always some problem that pops up on their endThey refuse to give me a phone number of someone higher than my student service counselor’s managerI don’t want to mess around with email, I want someone to talk to and someone that can do something for meI am super disappointed and would not recommend this university to anyone!

Dear Revdex.com,
Grand Canyon University (“GCU”) is in receipt of *** *** ***’ rebuttal complaint and we value the opportunity to respond The issue has been reviewed by the Regional Director of Operations *** *** and, based on that review; GCU has determined that *** *** complaint was appropriately resolvedThis determination is based on the following information:
In response to *** ***’ complaint that he feels GCU has unfair collection pr***ices, GCU has reviewed *** ***’ account further and determined that *** ***’ account has been handled within and above the guidelines of the *** *** *** *** *** as it does for all delinquent student accounts On March 16, 2011, after the numerous attempts to cont*** *** *** between September 13, and March 10, mentioned in my previous response and the many due diligence attempts by the student support staff, *** ***’ account was sent to GCU’s Internal Collections Department
The Internal Collections Department attempted multiple times via phone and email to reach *** *** On July 5, when their efforts yielded no result *** ***’ account was sent to ***, an external first placement collections agency Upon receipt of *** ***’ account *** sent a letter to *** ***’ which advised him that he had days to respond if he was going to dispute the validity of his balance However, *** never received a response from *** *** In addition, *** made multiple attempts to cont*** *** *** and again, received no response from him After seven months, *** returned *** ***’ account to GCU Following the return o* *** ***’ account, GCU’s Internal Collections Department made additional attempts to cont*** him the next three months but again was unsuccessful *** ***’ account was then placed with ***, a second collections agency *** currently holds *** ***’ account and is in the process of attempting to collect on his outstanding balance As *** ***’ debt was incurred at GCU and remains outstanding to GCU the debtor showing on the credit report (GCU), is correct.
GCU takes student complaints very seriously and does everything it can to resolve them in an amicable manner I hope the aforementioned information will bring this matter to a satisf*ory conclusion

I am an honor student @ Grand Canyon UniversityMy master's degree is in Drug & Alcohol addictionsI have been unable to secure a Practicum site as many drug/alcohol sites are not familiar with this school, or do not believe the school to be credibleSince May, 2016, this person has reached out to every facility in the surrounding areas of , asking for an opportunity to internI received, finally, a verbal acceptance on October 18, I was interviewed, offered the internship, and acceptedI was told I would receive "formality" paper work within the next few daysWhen I did not receive the paperwork, I alerted my field manager, Laura T***, that it was now the middle of November, and with a start date of January, 2017, I was eager to learn the exact start date of the Practicum so I could plan accordingly Ms T*** advised, through email, that the sites were "busy", and I had to have patienceI waited a week and reached out to the site....I received a response the

I am trying to finish my degree, that is itWithin the last year of me attending GCU, they have done questionable things with my financial aidThis time around, I had all the clearance that should allow me to finish up my last classes in order to obtain my degreeMy "Student Services Adviser" told me today that I am no longer eligible for aid because that FAFSA I completed for NEXT YEAR had an issue with it, even though my loans went through as of 11/29/and the first payment that was supposed to occur on that date has yet to post to my account
My adviser called me earlier, didn't leave a message, but I received two emails from her stating that there was an error and to contact her immediatelyI have been only hold now for minutes and in the interim have talked to both FAFSA representatives and student loan representatives that have told me I have to deal with the school, and that I did the correct things
I am waiting for ANY available adviser and I cannot believe it h
