On *** *** first due date, her payment was returned due to her account being closedWe attempted to contact the customer to work out arrangementsAs a courtesy to the customer, we froze her balance, so that no future finance fees would accrue. Despite our efforts, *** *** never contacted us, so on April 4, 2017, her account was charged off to a 3rd Party Collection agency
Given the severity of *** *** complaint, we have requested an investigation with the 3rd Party Collection agencyUnder the circumstances, we have also requested that the account be retracted.
In total, *** *** borrowed $and to date, the customer has not made any payment towards her loan. As a courtesy to the customer, Green Gate Services only requests that the customer pay back the principal balance borrowed and in return we will waive the finance fees

customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $450 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
Outside of the tightly enforced script utilized by loan representatives, upon receiving her funds, [redacted] was issued an email with helpful tips, reminding her of her payment options and the terms of her signed loan agreement.  Additionally, Green Gate Services also sent the customer courtesy reminders before each of her due dates to ensure she understood her payment options and balance.  [redacted] had the option to pay only one finance fee if she paid off her loan in full on her first due date, which the customer did on her initial loan with Green Gate. Or, in addition to the finance fee, she could have applied additional funds to the principal balance, which would have reduced subsequent finance fees. Or, lastly, the customer could pay the finance fee only, which would not reduce her principal balance or subsequent finance fee(s). 
Despite Green Gate Services’ efforts to keep an open line of communication, [redacted] elected to pay only the finance fee on her first payment, and applied additional funds towards her principal on the subsequent payments.   
In her letter, [redacted] also questioned whether we are licensed.  As stated in [redacted]’s loan agreement, however, upon her signature and acceptance of the Loan Agreement, the customer entered into a Loan Agreement with a Federally Recognized American Indian Tribe and as such, the laws of the state where she resides are not applicable to this loan agreement. Green Gate Services is a legal tribal lending entity offering installment loans to consumers and is not violating tribal or applicable federal laws.
Notwithstanding the fact that this loan is legal per the terms of the customer’s executed consumer Loan Agreement, we regret that the customer’s experience was anything less than ideal.  So long as the customer considers this matter resolved, as a courtesy, Green Gate Services will waive one of the customer’s finance fees, which we will credit to the customer account.

In his letter, [redacted] stated that we are not licensed to do business in his state. As stated in [redacted]'s loan agreement, however, upon his signature and acceptance of the Loan Agreement, the customer entered into a Loan Agreement with a Federally Recognized American Indian Tribe and as such, the laws of the state where he resides are not applicable to his loan agreement. Green Gate Services is a legal tribal lending entity offering installment loans to consumers and is not violating tribal or applicable federal laws.
Notwithstanding the fact that this loan is legal per the terms of the customer's executed consumer Loan Agreement, provided [redacted]'s positive payment history, as a courtesy, Green Gate Services will waive the remaining balance on the customer's account, and we will consider the his loan settled, so long as the customer considers the matter resolved.

[redacted] has been a good customer, who always made her payments on time. Her account will not be charged off nor will it reflect negatively on the customer’s credit report. Green Gate is simply closing out the customer’s account and waiving her remaining balance, so that no additional payments will be expected of the customer.

All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $550 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
On his second payment, [redacted]'s payment returned due to non-sufficient funds. Following the return, an Account Specialist followed up with the customer to reschedule the payment. At the time, both agreed to schedule the payment for June 23, 2015. When the payment didn't clear, on June 25, 2015, Green Gate Services successfully drafted the past due finance fee.

Upon receiving Mr. [redacted]'s feedback, the Manager of the Collections department followed up with the customer. Based on their conversation, we understand that [redacted] has disputed the charge with his bank and that the fee will be returning to Green Gate Services. As a courtesy to the customer, Green Gate Services has agreed to forgive that finance fee. In return, Green Gate Services will settle with the customer for the principal balance plus the current finance fee that is due and will waive all subsequent finance fees.
In light of the fact that arrangements have been made with the customer, we trust that this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $500 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in bi-weekly installments.
After paying one finance fee, Mr. [redacted] contacted Green Gate Services and explained that he didn't realize he needed to contact us to pay off his loan on his first due date, which had been his intention. As a courtesy to the customer, we waived the second finance fee that accrued for the new cycle and agreed to allow the customer to pay off for the principal balance only. After attempting to draft the principal balance, however, the payment returned due to non-sufficient funds. As a result of the return, the finance fee for that period was reapplied and the minimum amount was deducted from his account on his second due date.
After deducting the minimum payment on his second due date, [redacted] contacted us for clarification and expressed his concerns, at which point he was referred to a manager, who followed up with the customer on the following business day. Upon speaking with the manager, both agreed to apply [redacted]'s second payment towards his principal balance. In return, the customer advised, he had already mailed a money order for the remaining principal.

I accept that they are writing the remaining balance off. I do sstill feel that I was not told the truth. I specifically asked if they were licensed to do loans in California and was told yes. They do not have a valid license which is required in the state of cCalifornia. Lesson learned, always verify lender's information before doing business with them. No more tribal loans. You never get out of debt when borrowing from them.

21, 2015. All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $300 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in semi-monthly installments.
This is [redacted]'s second loan with Green Gate Services. At no point during the first or second loan did the customer express any concerns with Green Gate Services regarding his payments terms. The disclosures regarding the payment terms are further supported by the loan agreement that [redacted] signed, which illustrates the worst case scenario, the total amount the customer would pay if he only paid the minimum payment. As communicated with [redacted], the customer has always had the option to apply more towards the principal to reduce the finance fees or to pay off the loan in full to avoid additional finance fees all together. After issuing both loans, Green Gate Services also emailed the customer helpful tips reminding him of his payment options and the terms and conditions of the loan. Before each of his due dates, Green Gate Services also sent [redacted] reminders regarding his upcoming payments and his remaining principal balance.
Although we wish the customer had attempted to work with us directly, we regret that [redacted]'s experience was anything less than ideal. Notwithstanding the fact that this loan is legal per the terms of [redacted]'s executed consumer Loan Agreement, once his July 31, 2015, payment clears, Green Gate will waive the remaining balance due on his account.
