Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/25) */
In response to the Revdex.com complaint for [redacted] dated August 20, 2015, please see our response below.
[redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions of a loan with Green Gate Services, LLC ("Green Gate") on June 15,...

2015. All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $300 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
[redacted] made three successful payments towards her loan. On the third payment, however, funds were returned due fraudulent activity that had occurred on the customer's account. At that time, an Account Specialist did leave a voicemail for the customer, informing her of the return. In that voicemail, the Account Specialist made reference to contacting the customer's place of employment, which was provided at the time the customer took out the loan.
The follow-up call between [redacted] and the Account Specialist was counterproductive, and we have since met with the collector in question. [redacted] has been a good customer of Green Gate Services, and we regret that her experience was anything less than ideal. Per the customer's request, we have added the customer's place of employment to our "do not contact" list, and we have frozen her account so that no additional finance fees are assessed.
As of August 24, 2015, [redacted] has made arrangement with another collector to pay off the remaining balance on her account. Based on the information provided above, we trust this issue has been resolved.
If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

[redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions of a loan with Green Gate Services, LLC ("Green Gate") on...

July 01, 2015. All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $500 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
In her letter, [redacted] questioned whether Green Gate Services' can conduct business in her state. For clarification, as stated in [redacted]' loan agreement, upon her signature and acceptance of the Loan Agreement, the customer entered into a Loan Agreement with a Federally Recognized American Indian Tribe and as such, the laws of the state where she resides are not applicable to her loan agreement. Green Gate Services is a legal tribal lending entity offering installment loans to consumers and is not violating tribal or applicable federal laws, therefore [redacted] is obligated to perform to the terms she agreed to under the loan agreement.
Outside of the tightly enforced script utilized by loan representatives, upon receiving her funds, [redacted] was issued an email with helpful tips, reminding her of her payment options and the terms of her signed loan agreement. Additionally, Green Gate Services also sent the customer courtesy reminders before each of her due dates to ensure she understood her payment options and balance.
Regardless of Green Gate Services' efforts to keep an open line of communication regarding the payment options, we regret that [redacted]'s experience was anything less than ideal. As a courtesy to the customer, Green Gate Services will settle with [redacted] and write off her remaining balance.
Based on the information provided above, we trust this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

[redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions of a loan with Green Gate Services, LLC ("Green Gate") on August...

5, 2015. All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $400 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
Since taking out the $400 loan, [redacted] has paid a total of $100. Green Gate Services has attempted to work with the customer on the remaining balance. As a courtesy to the customer, we waived the late fee, 1 finance fee, and have frozen her account so that no additional finance fees will be accrued. In light of the customer's feedback, a manager also contacted the customer. In total, Green Gate agreed to settle for $360, which, when paid in full, would be the principal balance and less than 1 finance fee.
Based on the information provided above and our attempts to work with [redacted], we trust this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $700 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.

As stated in [redacted] loan agreement, upon her signature and acceptance of the Loan Agreement, the customer entered into a Loan Agreement with a Federally Recognized American Indian Tribe and as such, the laws of the state where she resides are not applicable to this loan agreement. Green Gate Services is a legal tribal lending entity offering installment loans to consumers and is not violating tribal or applicable federal laws.

[redacted] borrowed $700 and has paid a total of $105. Green Gate is willing to work with the customer on arrangements; however, at a minimum,[redacted] would need to payback the principal amount that she borrowed.

Based on the information provided above, we trust this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information however, please let us know.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/10) */
In response to the Revdex.com complaint for [redacted] dated August 9, 2015, please see our response below.
[redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions of a loan with Green Gate Services, LLC ("Green Gate") on April...

9, 2015. All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $400 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in semi-monthly installments.
This is [redacted]'s second loan with Green Gate Services. At no point during the first or second loan did the customer express any concerns with Green Gate Services regarding her payments terms. The disclosures regarding the payment terms are further supported by the loan agreement that [redacted] signed, which illustrates the worst case scenario, the total amount the customer would pay if she only paid the minimum payment. As communicated with [redacted], the customer has always had the option to apply more towards the principal to reduce the finance fees or to pay off the loan in full to avoid additional finance fees all together. After issuing both loans, Green Gate Services also emailed the customer helpful tips reminding her of her payment options and the terms and conditions of the loan. Before each of her due dates, Green Gate Services also sent [redacted] reminders regarding her upcoming payments and her remaining principal balance.
Although we wish the customer had attempted to work with us directly, we regret that [redacted]'s experience was anything less than ideal. Notwithstanding the fact that this loan is legal per the terms of [redacted]'s executed consumer Loan Agreement, Green Gate Services will close the customer out for her principal balance only. The customer scheduled a payment online for full balance (principal + finance fee) for this Friday August 14, 2015; however, we will only deduct the principal balance and waive the remaining finance fees.
Based on the clarification provided above, we trust this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/08/15) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I previously objected to the fees on my 1st loan with this company and was told that all charges are as assessed. I threatened that I wouldn't do another loan with them because I had never had where you are doing a payoff of a loan and they still charge a total fee even if the payoff was before the due date. I only resorted back because of my financial standing at the time. I do appreciate the way this account was handled and [redacted] was not the loan officer I spoke to in the first loan so this could be why I was mislead when asking the questions about payoff and fees. My am satisfied with the result. Thanks

Revdex.com:
I just received an email from one I sent on 03/25/2017:
We do not do mail in payment in this department, It is very important that we get these arrangements in place TODAY. The only way to make a payment is by card. If there is no arrangements as well as a payment made tomorrow the system will default you and add another finance fee. Please call me today in order to set something up , I can definitely work you.

[redacted]
Account Specialist

I want the emails to stop and I want this agreement sent to my email address from Green Gate. Other than that I do appreciate your company working with me.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Sincerely, [redacted]

In the customer’s loan agreement, it states that Green Gate must be notified no less than ten business days prior to the scheduled debit date.  We were notified 4 business days before the customer’s due date.  While we will not refund the $75 payment, we will waive the two remaining finance fees on the customer’s account, totaling $150.  In return, we only ask that [redacted] pay back the principal balance, which the customer can pay back in installments.

As stated previously, upon [redacted]’s signature and acceptance of the Loan Agreement, the customer entered into a Loan Agreement with a Federally Recognized American Indian Tribe and as such, the laws of the state where she resides are not applicable to this loan agreement. Green Gate Services is a legal tribal lending entity offering installment loans to consumers and is not violating tribal or applicable federal laws.
While Green Gate Services may not have spoken with the attorney directly, we did speak with [redacted] at the law offices who confirmed that the customer filed bankruptcy in March 15, 2016 and that Green Gate Services was not included as a creditor.
Green Gate Services will contact the attorney’s office again. In addition, we will also reach out to the court appointed trustee, who is overseeing the bankruptcy to get further clarification.
If Green Gate Services is not listed on the bankruptcy as the law offices had previously indicated, we are more than willing to work with [redacted] on a resolution. Notwithstanding the fact that this loan is legal per the terms of the customer’s executed consumer Loan Agreement, as a courtesy, we simply ask that the customer pay back the $500 that she borrowed. In return, we will waive the finance fees that the customer agreed to upon taking out the loan. To do so, however, we ask that the customer work with Green Gate Services on a resolution.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: I will not be intimated by this company any longer, they are rude and a company that has no cordesy. I will no longer pay on this loan, they debited my account for 1,270. They only reason they stopped was because I was forced to do a stop payment and change my whole account. They would change there ways to debit my account to get money out, as I said before I have my discharge letter for bankruptcy. I have all documents from the bank of there foul practices. I reject the resolve.Sincerely,[redacted]

stated previously in [redacted] June 19, 2017, compliant – “[redacted] next payment is due on June 23, 2017.  Notwithstanding the fact that this loan is legal per the terms of the customer’s executed consumer Loan Agreement, provided [redacted] Edwards’s positive payment history, as a courtesy, assuming the June 23, 2017, payment clears, Green Gate Services will waive the remaining balance on the customer’s account, and we will consider her loan settled, so long as the customer considers this matter resolved.”

Prior to the June 23, 2017, payment, [redacted] had paid a total of $450, which is less than the $500 she borrowed.  If the June 23, 2017, payment clears we write off the account.  If the payment does not clear, we will work with the customer on collecting the payment that returned. In total, we are asking the customer less than one finance fee total.

Green Gate Services apologize for any delays in responding to the customer. Typically, all emails are responded to by the next business day. Unfortunately, we are not open on the weekend, so the earliest we would have replied was Monday or today at the latest.

Since filing with the Revdex.com, [redacted] has been made an offer. [redacted] contacted us November 28, 2016, regarding her payment that was due on December 2 (Green Gate was closed on November 26, 2016). Per the customer’s loan agreement, we request 10 business days to stop future payments, which Customer Service advised the customer at the time. Given the short window of notification, the customer’s payment had already been submitted to the bank.
[redacted] request has since been processed for all future payments and her account will no longer be debited. As a courtesy to the customer, Green Gate only requests the current finance fee and one additional finance fee; however, all future finance fees will waived. Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/29) */
In response to the Revdex.com complaint for [redacted] dated May 28, 2015, please see our response below.
[redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions of a loan with Green Gate Services, LLC ("Green Gate") on April 23, 2015....

All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $500 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
During the initial call with [redacted], the employee explained that if the customer paid off her loan on the first payment, there would be a total of a $150 finance charge. However, the employee also explained that if [redacted] paid only the finance fee and didn't pay down the principal, another fee for the same amount would be assessed. The conversation is further supported by the TILA in the loan agreement that [redacted] signed, which illustrates the worst case scenario, the total amount the customer would pay if she only paid the minimum payment. After issuing the loan, Green Gate Services also emailed the customer helpful tips reminding her of her payment options and the terms and conditions of her loan. Before each of her due dates, Green Gate also sent [redacted] reminders regarding her upcoming payments and her remaining principal balance.
After paying 1 finance fee of $150 successfully, on April 30, 2015, [redacted]'s second payment returned after the customer placed a stop payment. After attempting to reach the customer on her cell phone and by email, Green Gate contacted the customer at her place of employment, which the customer provided at the time her loan was approved.
In total, the customer borrowed $500 and has paid back a total of $150. Notwithstanding the fact that the customer agreed to the terms and conditions of the loan, Green Gate would be happy to make arrangements with [redacted]. Since the customer successfully paid one finance fee, we only ask that the customer pays back the $500 principal balance that she borrowed, which the customer stated she intended to pay upon taking out the loan. Per the customer's request, Green Gate has also added [redacted]'s work phone number to our do not call list.
Based on the clarification provided above, we trust this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I cannot make a $500 payment IN FULL, that is the reason I needed the loan in the first place. I feel that this is an unfair request. I recently got my hours cut back at work and am unable to make more than $100 payments a month or $50 every two weeks. Also, my employer is still recieving calls to my job even AFTER the company stated they would not call my place of employment since we are unable to receive personal calls. I have already been written up once for this and it is effecting my job.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/08) */
The customer is not required to make a $500 payment in full. As noted in the initial response, Green Gate services is willing to make arrangements for the payback of the $500 borrowed.
If the customer is receiving calls at work, it is not from Green Gate Services. When her work number was added to the "no not call list" on May 29, her work phone number was changed in the system, so Green Gate Services no longer even has a record of the employment phone number. Her account was also pulled, so that a manager could handle the account directly, and there have been no attempts, as this response, to reach the customer at all.
The customer will be contacted this week to make payment arrangements for the $500 she borrowed

[redacted] agreed to the terms and conditions of a loan with Green Gate Services, LLC ("Green Gate") on August 4,...

2015. All loan documents were properly executed by the customer. In accordance with the terms of the loan agreement, Green Gate lent [redacted] $500 and the customer agreed to pay back the loan in installments.
In the original call between the customer and the loan representative, the three payment options were explained to the customer. [redacted] had the option to pay only the finance fee, which would not reduce the principal balance. Alternatively, the customer could either pay off the loan and pay only one finance fee, or pay down the principal balance, which would reduce the finance fee on the following payment, which the customer elected to do for her first two payments.
Outside of the tightly enforced script utilized by loan representatives, upon receiving her funds, [redacted] was issued an email with helpful tips, reminding her of her payment options and the terms of her loan. Additionally, Green Gate Services also sent the customer courtesy reminders before each of her due dates to ensure she understood her payment options and balance.
Regardless of Green Gate Services' efforts to keep an open line of communication regarding the payment options, we regret that the customer's experience was anything less than ideal. Although we wish the customer had attempted to work with us directly, as a courtesy to the customer, Green Gate Services is willing to settle with [redacted] for her principal balance and one finance fee. A manager has reached out to the customer and arrangements have been made for a final payment.
Based on the information provided above, we trust this issue has been resolved. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
