Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/08/24) */ The vehicle was brought to Bob Howard Chevrolet for three repairs (1) Recall 14350, unintended ignition key rotation(2) Recall 14574, spark plug wire retainers(3) Vehicles idles rough - Did not want to start on the service drive We performed recalls at no charge and checked the engine outWe recommended a new engine We DID NOT blow up his engineWe will trade him out of the vehicle but will not give him a vehicle Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/08/24) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Bob Howard Chevrolet is not being honestI brought the vehicle in for the recalls on 8-I was told it would be a couple of daysAfter no calls or returned calls I went to the service center on 8-The service guy told me that the recalls were done and they were running test to see why the car was rough idlingI then informed him I just wanted my car back that I would take to to my regular mechanic for any further repairs due to the fact that I was renting a car and it was getting too expensive this was about 6:that nightHe said it was hooked up to the machine and to give them until the next morning to have it readyThe next day I still hadn't received a phone call, I tried calling but kept getting transferred to the voice mailI gave my mother the number to try to contact someone due to the fact that I was at workShe called me and informed me that she had contacted someone at the service center and they told her that "In the process of them running test they locked up the engine"There should have been no reason for them to be running test on 8-when I specifically told the rep on 8-that nothing else was necessary that I would pay what I owed and just wanted to have my car back and that I would take it somewhere else (where I always go for repairs for the last years) for any additional repairs to my carHe apologized that it had taken so long but he said that he would need to the following dayAt that point on 8-my engine was NOT locked upThe recalls were DONE according to the repThere should have been NO reason for them to do anything else to my vehicle after I told him that I wanted nothing else done just to have the car returned to meThey claim that it "Did not want to start on the service drive" But it started and the recalls were doneThe engine locked up while they were running testWould the recorded conversation help?

[redacted] the GM of this location has spoken the client and paid the diag fees, that the customer has had to payWe understand the car is being repaired under warranty nowSorry for the inconvenience

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meI have already replaced the tires since they were unsafe and one had already blown pictures can be provided if needed and reimbursement would be fine Sincerely, [redacted]

To whom it may concern,I had talked with Mrs [redacted] earlier this weekI know for a fact that she was fully aware that she had purchased the Warranty in questionThe documentation that the Auto Group I work for would make it impossible for a customer to not know what they had, or had not purchasedMrs [redacted] has been informed that if she doesn’t want the extended warranty she has the legal right to cancel the warrantyI tried to reach out to Mrs [redacted] again this morningI left her a message to please call me

We worked on Mr***’s Honda pilot and installed a new outer repair panel on left rear doorWe realigned the door as Mr [redacted] did not like the way it was shutting and he also complained about the belt moldingWe had AAA insurance come out, and showed them the repairs, and the belt molding ; they told us to put a new molding on itMr [redacted] had also complained that the AC was not working and the insurance denied any repairs to the AC as they said it was not related to the accident and they knew that putting an outer repair panel on a door could not cause itWe mentioned the fit, and they said that he was only complaining about the moldingWe told them that the only thing we could do with the door would be to try a new one to see if it would fit better, and they thought Mr [redacted] was okay with the fit of the door We ordered a new belt molding and the first one came in bentThe second one came in and it was undamagedThe belt molding that fits the vehicle only comes in one finish and that is flat blackThe vehicle has 208,miles on it and the other belt moldings have become shiny because the flat finish has worn offMr [redacted] said that was not acceptable, but we explained that we could not match the worn out finish of the other moldingsWe put Mr [redacted] in a rental each time that we tried to satisfy him on the door, but believe that anything less than a new door, which the insurance company is now doing, was probably not going to work Mr [redacted] took his vehicle to another shop, I went over and spoke with the manager of the shop, and he said he couldn’t see that we had done anything wrong, but he agreed that a new door was going to be the only way to satisfy Mr***I believe that AAA is going to let them try a new door

[redacted] has reached out to you resolve your concernsLet me know if you need anything else

We will issue a check for the $to address the clients concerns

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The dispute is over how the key FOB failedI can understand that the business wants to protect itself against frivolous warranty claimsHowever, in no way, is this frivolousThey leave me no other recourse except to file a small claims suit Sincerely, [redacted]

Unbeknownst to us this customer transaction was thought to be a straw purchase going originally through AmeriCreditWhen the deal went in for funding the Bank discovered the vehicle was for the brotherAfter multiple calls we were finally able to get the customer in and discuss the purchase and who the vehicle was forAt that time it was our understanding that the vehicle was for the customers brother who is in fact a minorWe were successful in getting the loan reapproved through ExeterOnce the deal was in for funding, Exeter discovered that the customer had switched jobs and was no longer actively employed at the place listed on the credit applicationOnce again we made multiple calls to the customer to get the updated employment information and updated proof of incomeOnce the customer finally returned our calls we informed them that we needed the information and proof of income, or the vehicle to be returnedThe customer chose the latterWe refunded the down payment to the customer at the time of receipt and inspection of the vehicle
