Dear Revdex.com, As requested in her complaint to your office, a representative of our corporate office spoke with Ms*** on or about March 6, However, she declined our further assistance In addition, prior to March 6th, our tax
office employees tried to resolve Ms***’s complaint by offering a discount of half off her taxpreparation fees if she desired for H&R Block to complete her return. Ms*** also declined this offer. Ultimately, Ms*** did not pay any monies to H&R BlockAlthough she requests that H&R Block pay or reimburse her to have her tax return prepared somewhere else, we are not at liberty to do so. Dear Revdex.com, In response to the rebuttal, records show that Ms***’s tax preparation refund has been mailed to the address referenced in the complaint as stated in our prior response As for the federal tax refund that Ms*** refers to in her rebuttal, records additionally show that after the client’s initial check was sent back due to the incorrect addressAn automated message went out to the phone number on file notifying the client that her check had been returnedThe funds remained in the account until we received a request to reissue the funds via direct depositAt which point, our office was provided a Bank of America Direct Deposit Enrollment Request Form and voided checkThe refund was then processed via ach to the client’s banking account on or around 4/25/We recommend Ms*** contact her banking institution to verify the transaction Sincerely, Quintina M*** Associate Business Analyst H&R Block

In response to my rebuttal, I was contacted by a representative of H & R Block's Executive Escalation teamI spoke with the representative on Thursday (May 19, 2016) while I was at workOn Friday (May 20, 2016), I faxed the representative a copy of the attached proof that I did not receive the IRS notice when H & R Blocks says I should haveI see that today, another claim was submitted for the Peace of Mind Guarantee I purchased. I reviewed the message from H&R Block and was extremely
disappointedThe response did not address any of my concerns regarding the staffs'
incompetence and unprofessional behaviorInstead
Ms*** focused on justifying their behavior and blaming the customer
Ms*** indicated that staff from the *** office
attempted to contact me to discuss this complaintHowever, I have not received
a call from anyoneAdditionally, although the amended return was completed
within the time frame allowed by the IRS notice, it required several telephone
calls for three weeks and a final reminder that the amended tax return was due
in three daysDue to their incompetence, I had to make a payment over
the telephone on the due date despite giving them nearly a month to complete
the amendment
Ms***' description regarding the claim is also incomplete
and inaccurateAfter receiving the Insolvency Worksheet I contacted the ***
office to obtain clarification about how to complete the form and to ascertain
its relevance to my claimI contacted the office several times and was told I
must fill out the worksheet or the claim would be denied but was provided no
assistance or clarificationI never refused to complete the worksheetInstead
I indicated I would not complete the form until I was provided assistance with
filling out the worksheet and was provided information regarding its relevance
For several years, I highly recommended H&R
Block to family, friends, and those in the military
communityHowever, I have lost all trust in H&R block. These two errors have
impacted our financial stability and could have greatly affected my husbands
career in the militaryInstead of attempting to resolve the issue, the

department, and Ms*** have focused their attention on loop holes to avoid paying the
claim and have blamed the customer

Dear Revdex.com, In resolution to this compliant, our record reflects that Mr***’s tax return preparation fees that he requested to be deducted from his federal tax refund has not been paid and is therefore considered debtOur records reflect that the Internal Revenue
Service (IRS) did not release Mr***’s tax refund to the Refund Account setup to deduct his feesThus the fees owed to H&R Block were not paid.
