Dear Revdex.com: H&R Block has reviewed Mr***’s rebuttal to our prior responseThis response contains H&R Block’s final positionIn response to Mr***’s rebuttal, our review determines that the W-information was incorrectly entered by Mr*** when using our DIY productWhen Mr*** was submitting information for his spouse’s W-2, he left his name selected and checked the box stating “Name doesn’t match W-2”, then entered the W-information for his spouse. However, I would like to call out that the business did not pay for nothing. They paid because they were at fault; otherwise, they would not have. They run a business, after all. So, the case should be disposed as such

I am rejecting this response because:It is unacceptable to me that a service performed initially incorrect resulting in financial hardship and required time off work to set an appointment is not made right to the client. While Jeannie was very helpful, I have yet to receive reimbursement for the federal interest that I paid on their behalfAdditionally, Jeannie did not offer to do our taxes for free as indicated in the response. Given my recent experience, I would rather be reimbursed in full for services paid on my taxesI do agree to a certain level that H&R should not be liable for their client's taxes. I do however feel $reimbursement for those services paid is highly appropriateThis would provide resolution

Dear Revdex.com, In response to this matter, our investigation reflects that Mr***'s complaint is against a franchise office which has the responsibility to resolve this matter directly with your office and directly with the client. After further review of this
matter, records reflect that only the State return was not able to be e-filed due to a system anomaly and Mr*** was advised that the issue was being escalated in order to seek a resolutionDuring this time, two attempts to contact Mr*** were made however the attempts to reach Mr*** were unsuccessfulWhen the office was able to speak to Mr***, he was informed that the issue could not be resolved and that the State return would need to be mailed inAn offer to mail the return on behalf of Mr*** was purposed however he declined the offerThe office allowed a week for the return to be picked up prior to mailing the return directly to Mr*** for submission. It is the Franchisee *** ***l belief that the full refund of the State preparation fee refund is appropriate, as the Federal return was not affected and therefore a service provided correctly that does not warrant a refundHowever, if Mr*** has any further questions or concerns regarding the fees, he may contact his local H&R Block office directly. I am very upset that my tax information was DELETED!!!!!!!. H&R Block does not do a good job of informing it's customers about the online product. They said my information was not saved because I didn't pay for the product. You don't pay for the product until you file your taxes!!!!!!! I feel H&R Block should post an alert somewhere for the user to see when you logout without sending a return that the return could be deleted if you don't send it. This should be required!!!!!!!! I understand the business purpose for not doing this but they can provide you a way to keep the information stored online even if you have to pay a fee to do so. H&R Block had a responsibility to let me know that they were deleting my information before they did it. If they can now send me the software to load onto my computer they should have done that before they deleted my info since they knew I have tax information in their system. I'm devastated that I have to this tax return. It was complete I just needed to add another piece of information to it and I could have sent it. I now have to expend an additional amount of time and effort to get the information back together to re-input so that I can file my return. It's not enough to say you are sorry and supply me with the software, I think I should be compensated for me time. I would have gladly paid for the software and downloaded my return to it had I been given the chance. I am even thinking about going to the Consumer Protection division of the *** *** *** to report this as a problem. As you can see, I'm very, very upset. I'm a realtor and time is precious to me. This was an unnecessary issue that I now have to deal with due to H&R Blocks incompetency to keep it's consumers aware of the deficiencies in it's product

I am rejecting this response because: Please refer attached correspondence for your informationI appear to be doing all the chasing in respect of this issue and the situation appears to be getting worse based on the correspondence coming from the IRS (particularly their letter dated July 27, 2017).I can’t say I am overly impressed by the IRS’s use of generic letters which makes no effort to identify the actual problem and I am at a loss to understand their most recent email (received today) as H&R Block would have me believe Patricia (the original CAA, whom made both ITIN applications and subsequently refused to respond to my emails, hence Revdex.com's involvement) has made numerous successful ITIN applications this year without any issue
