Review: Ordered and prepaid for a magazine subscription for a gift in April 2014, bank charge was deducted immediately from online order. Made phone call in May over non-delivery, and again at the end of June for the same. Operator said I was not allowing enough time and that they showed delivery of 2 issues. Verified address, found to be correct. Ask for a full refund and was told I would only receive a partial refund because of issued already sent, however never received by me. Customer service operator extremely rude, talked over my concern the entire call and did not want to hear me side or request for full refund. Only restated a partial refund amount and told to wait for issues to arrive.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of $15.00 for subscription prepaid for 2 years of Elle Magazine, ordered in April , and never received an issue.

Review: I have been receiving billing invoices from this business with payment requested either online or to the address I have listed. They claim that I subscribed to their publication, which I did NOT!They provide only the webaddress and the P.O. Box address but give no other contact information such as a telephone number. I started receiving these invoices when a friend of mine subscribed to a DR. OZ magazine in my name as a gift.I believe that this is probably a scam and that if I'm stupid enough to send a check or pay online with my credit card that I will probably leave myself wide open for identity theft. If not, and it is legit then I want the invoices to stop. I did NOT subscribe to this magazine and will not under any circumstances ever pay them or anyone else a red cent.

Sincerely,

Review: I subscribed to Esquire Magazine a little over a year ago for a one year subscription for my husband. I have been sent multiple pieces of mail notifying me that my one year subscription was ending and offered an option to renew, WHICH I DID NOT opt to do. Today I received a rude email telling me that "several months ago I renewed my gift subscription" and then stated that it was still "UNPAID...PASTDUE....IGNORED." I never renewed my subscription nor did I ever send anything to the company stating that I wanted to continue to receive the magazine past the one year subscription. The email is very threatening and I do not appreciate being told to pay for something that I don't want nor that I requested.Desired Settlement: I do not want this company harassing me and making me out to be a liar and a thief. I paid in full for what I requested and they are trying to hook me for more money for a subscription I did not ask to be renewed.

Review: Esquire Magazine deducted money from my checking account without my permission. They obtained my debit card card number through E cigs who was running a promotional offer and the representative told me I would receive 3 magazines and a $50 Walmart Gift card and I could cancel anytime without any fees or penalty. I never received any magazines or any gift card, only a deduction from my account for $19.95. I have tried contacting Esquire but they have no phone number and the only way to get through is to enter an account number located on the mailing label which I do not have because they have never mailed me anything.Desired Settlement: $19.95

Review: Failure to perform as promised. Bait and switch sales tactics to increase the budget significantly. Caused significant losses of $50K in 2months.

The service that was provided was disastrous, and would have destroyed my business if gone on any longer. This was a mistake, and this web services did not deliver as promised! I was virtually invisible on the internet, and I'm in [redacted]! It cost me, conservatively, well over $50,000 in volume, from Oct. ** to Dec. [redacted]. I took [redacted] Adwords back on Dec. [redacted]., or the damages to me would have doubled. I have documented all of the correspondence from the time this company paused my [redacted] Adwords campaign weeks before having a web-site ready to go live, to the poor visibility of showing up on even just my top 50 keywords out of 300. After almost 2 months, I only showed up on 11 of the top 50. This is obviously unacceptable! I was then told that it takes 3 to 4 months to ramp up this campaign. My question was, then why did you pause my [redacted] Adwords, and why wasn't this disclosed to me up front? I know exactly what was discussed and expressed in emails. This company's bait and switch tactics worked once to up my budget, and that didn't even improve the performance. I have asked to terminate this relationship on 3 previous emails, but they continued to hold the web-site over my head, and tried to assure me that it will improve. NOT! I have redirected my host to my own web-site, and I have permanently terminated their services in a formal meeting. My losses far exceed their billing. I would prefer to lick my wounds and walk away, but they have now sent my balance to a collection agency. I have everything documented, as well a . I will be happy to forward all documented evidence upon request. None of this would have happened if they would have performed as promised!Desired Settlement: Call off the Collection Agency and accept the fact that the contract signed is null and void do to lack of performance and services.

Sincerely,

Review: I originally subscribed to House Beautiful through DiscountMags.com in Jan 2013. The term of the subscription was $5.00 for 10 issues. At no time was I aware that this was an auto-renewal subscription. My order confirmation email mentions nothing about this being an auto-renewal. When my subscription ended House Beautiful sent me an invoice for $18.97 for what I thought was a new subscription. As I wasn't interested, I didn't reply. However, they have continued to send me invoices and the magazine even though I didn't request to renew my subscription. I now have received what appears to be a threat to send this to collections if I don't pay the $18.97. The invoice has no phone number to call to speak to anyone at the magazine company. They shouldn't have renewed my subscription and they shouldn't have been sending me copies of the magazine. I don't believe this I owe this money and I want my account balance sent to$0.00 and nothing negative to be reported to any credit bureau. If they would provide a phone number I would have called to try and fix this with them but they do not have any number on the invoice.Desired Settlement: account balance of $0.00

nothing negative sent to any credit bureau

Sincerely,

Review: My complaint is against Hearst Corp. who publishes the Town&Country Magazine, which my complaint is with. Here is a run-down...

I received a request to renew by 5/**/14. On 4/**/14 I sent back the Customer Notice stating NO RENEWAL - Don't Ask Again! [redacted]

Within a few weeks, I get an Invoice for the magazine.... On 5/**/14 I sent it back with NO across front and stated Re-Read what I sent on 4/**/14....(recopied original) If you don't stop HARASSING me, I will contact the Better Business! [redacted]

Yesterday; 6/*/14, I received another INVOICE from the INVOICING BUREAU in an envelope that states on the outside it was MAILED WITH PERMISSION from AUTHORIZATION OFFICER/AGENT NUMBER [redacted]...... With a due date of 6/**/14.....

Is there anything you can do to assist me in this matter??? I have copies of all correspondence.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: A statement showing that I don't owe anything, and that they will not contact me again!

How do I get them to leave me alone???? That is all I want! That is all I asked from the beginning.... It has nothing to do w/the cost of the magazine, I just don't want it anymore.... I Despise the AUTOMATIC RENEWAL procedure that magazines are doing, and thought I was cutting it off at the chase by responding in advance! Stopping before the renewal... guess they want to harass me???????

Review: We at one time had magazine subscriptions through this company. We have stopped subscribing to these magazine but are still getting Subscription request for them. We have responded by returning the subscription request back and advising them that we no longer wish to receive any further magazines. We have been continuously receiving subscription request from this company on two magazines (Good Housekeeping and Country Living) where we have returned the request with written request to stop sending us the magazines as we do not want them. We cannot find a telephone number to contact them so we continue to send them back the request to seize any further contact. We are now getting threats that our "good standing is at risk" and they will proceed to identify the deficiency to the credit company. We have sent at least three written response to stop and they continue sending us these threatening letters. I have no way of contacting them.

BUYER BEWARE OF TO-GOOD-TO-TRUE INVITATIONS TO MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS. GOOD HOUSEKEEPING MAGAZINE.

I paid for my subscription August 2014. The mailer asked for $7.77 for a 1 year subscription. The mailer came to my maiden name. I sent my payment with a request to change the last name. I don't know how they got my maiden name. The first subscription I received was October 2014.

January 2015 I received a demand for payment for not only myself but for the previous owner of my home whose first name was also [redacted].

April 2015 is the last issue of GH I received. All issues were contained in a plastic bag. I tossed all the bags so I no longer have the account number that appeared on the bag.

I submitted proof of payment 4 times contained in the envelope with the bullying request for payment. Apparently no one comprehends English or just doesn't care.

There is no phone number. The websites ASSUME you are guilty of non-payment and all they is their money.

I tried communicating with the elusive staff of Good Housekeeping & [redacted].

7-**-2015 I contacted Jane F[redacted] via EMail. No response. They just want their money.

Review: For some reason Hearst Magazine and Publishing sent me the O, The Oprah Magazine, which I did not subsribe to. I recieved one edition and promptly returned it to the company stating that I did not subscribe to the magazine and to remove my name from their solicitation list. Hearst Magazine and Publishing has sent me a bill for $18 and I REFUSE to pay this because I did not subscribe and never would! I find this tactic to be harrassment and an attempt to extort money from unsuspecting veterans. I'm appalled that any company would stoop so low!! I could not find an exact match from the Revdex.com drop down list for the "nature of my complaint". Therefor selected that the company failed to correct billing errors since I returned the magazine and they sent a bill trying to extort money. This company is a fraud!!Desired Settlement: Hearst Magazine please DO NOT SEND me any magazines!!! I did not subcribe!!! STOP Billing me for something I did not order!!! Review: Hearst Magazines was billing me, all summer, to renew a gift subscription for Food Network Magazine that I had given to [redacted]. When I sent them Check #[redacted] on 10/*/12 in the amount of $18 it was to extend this gift subscription thru Dec. 2014. Review: I never order anything from this company but somehow they had my personal information and they subscribed for a magazines without my consent. First they send me a bill about a week before they send magazines I know I have to do something ortherwise they keep sending magazines. It's important that you don't simply ignore these magazines. Although the magazine company presumably doesn't have your credit card information to charge you, it's possible that they could send your bill to a collection agency, which could harm your credit rating. This is total scam be aware of that.To made you in maze on the bill they don't list phone or email even the P.O Box doesn't match with Revdex.com list.If you receive notice that you've received an unwanted magazine subscription, visit the website for the magazine and look for the Customer Service link. There, you should be able to unsubscribe, although you may receive a really annoying message that you need to wait for a while before unsubscribing. Received letter requesting payment for subscription to Good Housekeeping that I did not request. Would call them but there is no number anywhere. Letter states I order and said bill be later.
