Good afternoon,
I am writing to file a complaint against Aurora Health Care Downtown Urgent Care, located at *** * *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***
Aurora Health Care Downtown Urgent Care is fraudulently billing me for a specialist physician visit when my visit was for urgent care and the fee collected at the time of service was the urgent care rateThe billing department has refused to correct this matter, even after my insurance company called on my behalf and spoke to a supervisor
Aurora Health Care is falsely advertising themselves as an urgent care center and then fraudulently billing their patients for specialist visits

At time of scheduling appointment, I was told that Aurora Vision on *** *** was my in-network vision center I provided my insurance card Extra tests were ordered based on the insurance coverage Afterwards, it was confirmed that Aurora Vision was out of network and I was left with over $in bills for an annual exam plus unnecessary tests for a condition I've had for over years
I am unable to get help from customer service, the Vision Clinis, or doctor

Aurora has repeatedly sent my bills to collections despite payments being made on my accountThey state that I need to make a payment plan, but the times I tried to before they always had an issue with the amount I would selectThey also refused a visit because they felt I did not make enough payments even though I had made a payment days prior to the appointmentI also just had a random charge placed on my account from a visit I never made

I went to a doctor because I was having a dizzy/boat rocking type feelingThe doctor recommended me to a physical therapist instead of MRI because the doctor told me that it is a conservative approachI went to physio therapist for visits and the total bill (unnegotiated) for the visits was around $(in two statements $and $separated by two months apart although the therapy was every week)How conservative it is..$for just physical therapy(not an actual doctor either and not lab or blood test or anything like that)My biggest complaint is about the last visit that was literally minutes long and did not need me there at allUsually they are 45-mins longShe printed a paper and said that there is no improvement and she will forward the outcome to my doctor for further actions I was surprised to see the bill for that visit which was $270, i.e, $for email to my doctor and a paper print, which could have been done without me being there, but I guess the

I was seeing my general practitioner due to some health issuesSome tests were coming back abso the Drthought a particular test was in orderI have good insurance and my labs are always covered so I never considered the costNo one warned me about the cost or about whether or not it is usually covered by insuranceI was simply sent to the lab to give bloodThe test ended up being positive as the Dr suspectedMonths later I open my bill to find that the cost of this one lab was dollars and NOT covered by my insuranceMy insurance company says that it is never coveredI feel that the provider or SOMEone should have let me know the expense of this testI cannot imagine how often this must happen to peopleI would have never agreed to have this test had someone warned me of the cost or the rarity of it being covered by insurance

I left Aurora over a year ago for a new provider Shortly after I was contacted about setting up a new appointment I told the person contacting me that I had found a new provider and needed no additional contact From there on out I received regular robo calls asking me to set an appointment On October I received another robo call, and decided to contact Aurora again to ask them to stop calling me I was told I'd be taken off the list Only days later I received another robo call from them

my wife went to aurora clinic in grafton for an urgent needshe was rushed through the busy office and told she had a minor viral illnesswe both knew that was inaccurate, but gave it a chancedays later in dire straits we took her to in independant drwho said she had pneumonia and could have possibly been in a world of trouble if she had waited a couple more daysshe was givem anti biotics and steroids as well as a nebulizer to take home due to her inability to breathshe also lost work hours and alot of out of pocket expenseplease print this as to the dangers of going to urgent care in graftonthank you'

Was quoted a price for a vaccination which was paid in full prior to being given the vaccinationAbout two weeks later I received a bill in the mail requesting an additional paymentI believe I was charged for the insurance amount and not the cash price that was quoted and paid

I presented to this facility on two different occasions for discomfort in my neck On both occasions I informed them that this was an ongoing problem, and after extensive evaluation I had been cleared of anything cardiac relatedBecause of that I expressly and vehemently refused any cardiac tests which is my right as a patient I told them I had recent abnormalities in my thyroid labs and was advised when I had the discomfort again to be seen while I was having it to rule out any thyroid connection On both occasions they performed cardiac related tests and labs which I had refusedOn the second visit I advised that a previous doctor wanted me to have a radioactive iodine scan done but the insurance company wanted certain test performed and or to see certain abnormalities in my labs before they would authorize that test The emergency room physician told me that if they kept me overnight that it would be quicker to get the radioactive iodine scan done in an inpatient setting rath

As a recent college graduate, I've been keeping an eye on my credit report since I'm now in adulthoodRecently, I noticed there were two accounts reported on my credit report as delinquentI learned that the charges were from a collection agency based in IL called HarrisOne delinquent charge was for $and the other for $I called the Harris agency and they said both amounts were from medical charges from Aurora Medical GroupI paid Harris the $as well as their processing fee for a grand total of $paid to them on 7/14/Since I'm on a budget, I paid only one of the bills (the larger one since this has been on my credit report for years without my knowledge)
After speaking with a woman named Mary ** from Aurora on 7/17/(her direct line is ###-###-####) about what those charge

I have been a patient of Aurora for over years and they are amazingRecently I called to set up automatic refill for my prescription, which is something rather newI am currently at college and receive a call from home saying that my prescription had been home, even though on my MyAurora Account it stated it would be sent to my dormOne simple call and within minute the nice lady told me she would send the prescriptions to my dorm until June, which would be when school ends and then no more problemsGreat experience!

I was getting occupational therapy and after months and $my arm hasnt changed or even gotten better at all

October 29, 2018Revdex.com of WI WGreenfield Ave.Milwaukee, WI 53214To Whom It May Concern: BILLING ERROR - NEED FORINVESTIGATION AND CORRECTION This complaint and request for investigation is solely against Aurora Billing Department,Prior to my scheduling an appointments for my colonoscopy SCREENING, I telephone BOTH my insurance company () AND the hospital (Aurora StLuke’s South Shore, Cudahy, WI) Both of them told me that the screening would be llly covered/ covered 100%.Before I start my documentation I need to preface this that my doctor for this screening procedure, DrXXXXX, was outstanding and so very helpful.I even recommended him to two ladies I know who were over and never were screenedThey have been to see him twiceAlso, XXXXX who works for DrXXXXX has gone above and beyond to try to help me resolve this.1.Añer my assurance from the phone calls that I made

I went to see Dr * *** for a preventative eye exam Prior to scheduling an appointment I visited the office and showed them my insurance card and explained how my health insurance company offered a free eye exam every 2-years I have never had any eye issues but thought it might be a good idea The receptionist told me I would just have a co-pay of $ I scheduled the appointment I later received a bill in the mail for an additional $because they used the wrong billing code and submitted to my medical insurance instead of my vision coverage I called my insurance company and they explained that Dr * *** billed it to my medical side of insurance because in the past I had some medical issues with blood sugar, cholesterol & blood pressure My insurance company said call aurora change the billing code so it will be billed to your vision portion of your insurance and it will be covered Dr * *** office said they will not change the billing code because it is medic

On Saturday, January 21, my year old mother was brought in by ambulance because of fall that resulted in broken bones After her initial examination and before her CT scan, the nurses put my mother’s hearing aid in a denture cup on the counter next to the sink Upon her return from the scan she was “elevated” to another Emergency Room Where then my brother and I gather up her personal belongings and brought them to the other room After a while we noticed that we had all forgotten her hearing aid We went back to the original ER room where we noticed that housekeeping had already come through and that the cup with the hearing aid was nowhere to be found We told the nurses who admitted that housekeeping should not have thrown it away
No instructions were mentioned at the time on how to initiate a claim to the hospital for the lost hearing aid No one at the hospital reached out to us to address the loss of the hearing aid

Date of service 12/&12/for remicAde infusion billed as “bundle” but claim not submitted until mid JanuaryI had ct scan late January which claim processed before this bill therefore meeting my out of pocket maximum and leaving me with a $bill I cannot affordMy Remicade infusion would have met out of pocket and I had copay assistance to help with my bill that my dr helped me receiveNo one told me services would be bundled nor take long to process because of high costI disputed with aurora and Cigna my insurance and have been told nothing can be doneI cannot afford ct bill as I have over $In dr bills and had the copay assistance set up for my infusions for a reasonI have had to stop Remicade due to this and change treatment because of medical bills and auroras billing policyIf it was a bundle they should not have small bills coming in throughout this time such as lab work as well which they didThey did not bill all services as a bundle as stated so they l

I received a call from a collections agency informing me that Aurora passed my bill off to them WITHOUT ever notifying me Watch out folks, these people are weaselsI have the paperwork to prove that I was making monthly payments on my accountI n Ver once received a notice from Aurora that this would happen

I am very confused and concerned about medical services I received starting in November of After tests and services and insurance filing I looked at my bill / invoice and noted that there were duplicate charges for the same day for the same procedureThis took a while to resolve, and also then it was noted that I actually have two account numbers which made it even more confusingThe billing person assured me this was resolved but also in the mean time my account was sent to collections
I am concerned that I was never billed correctly, that Molina Insurance was also incorrectly billed for what they needed to cover for me and that if it was in error and billed wrong then the wrong amount was sent to collections as well
I now once again have two account numbers after they stated it was fixedNow I am concerned about my most current bills
I am a fairly educated person who can not make heads nor tails of my bill and insuranceI feel that Aurora Bay Care is very unfair wit

Our foreign exchange student wanted to play volleyball and needed a sports physical She did not have preventive insurance, only accident insurance She was paying for this physical out of her own spending money, and I warned her that a physical would be very expensive Her aunt, who speaks English, called Aurora and spoke to Penny ***, a financial advocate Penny told the aunt that our student could have the exam for $ Penny gave her a code to use in order to receive the $price for the exam
To double-check that there were no misunderstandings, I called Penny myself and asked about the price- and she confirmed the $price I also confirmed this price with the girl at the desk when I brought our student for her exam Both Penny and the receptionist at the pediatric department reassured me that yes, the exam would only be $ I did not want to misunderstand anything and get a huge bill in the mail
On 9/4/2016, we received a bill for the exam Th

I had a hip replacement surgery in October Prior to my surgery I met the family
deductible and paid my outstanding deductible in full to Aurora HospitalApproximately 3-
months after my surgery I received a letter from Americollect stating my account with
Aurora was past due and they were trying to collectI explained that this was a surprise
since I never received a statement from Aurora since I had my surgeryNor did they call us
to try and reach outWe weren't expecting any statements from Aurora since I was paid in
full for the yearThe hospital apparently misapplied a payment that we made in June to my
wife's account instead of mineShe was already paid in full with deductible met so it created
a very large creditThey never called to tell her this and it never showed up on her
statementsIt wasn't until July of this year that we discovered this creditAurora has been
taking from that credit and applying to each bill of hers for Aurora never sent u
