I would like to file a complaint against the Aurora Pharmacy in Burlington, WII had the worst experience today, December 4th I sent my husband into the pharmacy to refill two prescriptions for our dog, which were amoxicillin and lactaloseWhen he went back to pick them up today around 4:30, they stated that he only requested to refill the amoxicillinWhen he asked to refill the lactalose, which he previously requested, they claimed that they can see the prescription in the system, but they refused to call the veterinarian to refill the prescriptionAt the time, he was the only client in the storeThey refused to assist himI don't want to assume that it was because of his raceHowever, I can't seem to find any other reason why they wouldn't assist himSo I then had to go into the store with my newborn (My newborn and I were previously waiting in the car)My newborn son is on oxygen and is currently medically fragileHe also just was discharged from Children's hospital

Went to Aurora Medical Center for the birth of a son and as a result have a medical bill Worked with Aurora Medical Center to establish a payment plan, where Aurora would be paid automatically from a credit card Aurora received payment automatically for three months (December, January, Feburary) Then on May received a bill from Aurora requesting payment for two month of payments Called Aurora to make the payment and re-establish the automatic bill pay, which Aurora did not have a reason why the automatic bill pay stopped In June received another bill from Aurora for two months of payments, made these payments Then realized that the payments to Aurora would have to be made manually as the automatic function no longer worked As a result of making manual payment July’s payment was missed complete, August, September, and October payments were made The payment for November was missed, but a double payment was made in December and a single payment was made on January By the

Overall mixed very positive and very negative experience with Aurora Medical Centerout of First, the positive experience is primarily with my wife's OBYN doctorHe is incredibly patient and understanding of my wife's needs, I swear he is an angelThe nurse staff were very sweet and helpful most of the time, with the experienced nurse staff helping my wife with her needs, but the less experienced only do what they are taught in trainingThe Negative is the billing and some of the interactions with the staffMy wife went in for a consultation to help with an issue she had and they charged us over $to tell her she had no chanceThis is outrageous!
On an emergency visit she waited for minutes and the triage nurse insisted she get vitals despite my wife's plea for emergent care right as she fainted and nearly bled outIt was only then that a team of responsible and helpful staff came to her rescueThe day after we just came home with our newborn son they demanded we return the next day, only to tell us our son lost ounces and we needed to be better at feeding himThat unnecessary comment cost us a couple hundred dollars, Ridiculous!
Bottom Line out of We generally received the care we requestedStaff is out of with Some of the Staff are phenomenal at their jobs while a few lack understanding and genuine customer service, the overall quality of personnel is very positive
Billing is out of even with good healthcare we still dished out over $for some pretty ridiculous charges that were 300% over rates and some of the charges I'd argue were duplicate or not applicable to usSetting up the auto pay was way to complicated over the phone which led to more issues so I had to complete that myselfFacility out of for the Expecting mothers and deliveryWhy? Because this should be in a separate building away from smokers and sick people or have it's dedicated own access away from the rest of the buildingAnd yes I stated smokers, despite all the no smoking signs there were still smokers we had to pass by to enter the buildingOnce we arrived to the section of the facility it was very nice and the privacy of the room was excellent

My husband and I are on a fixed income with social security and they will not accept the payment that we can afford to pay

The Aurora Facebook page claims that "At Aurora Health Care, we treat each person as a person, not as a patient, an illness or an appointment" That has not been my experience at all At best I am a file, and in fact I feel more like a victim of a massive, inefficient, ineffective and thoughtless bureaucracyI saw the doctor yesterday and said I had severe pain (I'll spare you the details...) She gave me a prescription We agreed that it would go to the local pharmacy rather than to my mail order provider ExpressScripts When I got home I saw that it has been sent to ExpressScripts First phone call to Aurora - the usual runaround: "We'll send the message back there..." Several hours later nothing had happened so I called again: "well, they are slammed back there" Finally one of the two gets called in The other I just decide to buy out of pocket - no discount but it was only $ The other one, I find out, requires "Prior Authorization"Here is where the two bureaucracies start pointing fingers at each other, leaving the patient victim in the lurch First, Aurora says "well, *** has to send us the phone number for the preapproval" (Express Scripts is the largest PBM in the US - hello, Aurora, you don't have their phone number?) Then they get the phone number that same afternoon, and nothing happensSo this morning I call Aurora: "OK, I'll send a message to the back" Several hours later I call Express Scripts No word from Aurora, but surprisingly, the woman on the phone offers to call Aurora to get the preauthorization But when she gets Aurora on the phone, they say "we have someone who handles that, and we've sent it to her - she'll get to it, probably next Monday or Tuesday" (that's 4-days from when this prescription for pain was issued) I went to Aurora (Twin Lakes) myself Doctor is not in (she had told me that) Her nurse is not in Another nurse is there, but there's nothing to be done - the department who handles preauthorizations has the matter, and will get to it sometime next week In the meantime, I guess the message to me, the patient requiring pain medication, is "tough it out" Really terribleI already know how despicably awful insurance companies like ESI are, but I would like my doctor to be my ally and advocate in fighting and navigating that horrible system - and not a matching, mindless and non-caring bureaucracy

I went in for my annual pap and mammogram on 1/27/ A few days after this exam I was called back to get further imaging since my mother was now dealing with her third instance of breast cancer, of which I returned for more imaging in February I received my bill for the mammogram showing that it was not covered at 100% as it always had in the past I contacted my insurance company to see why and they advised me that the original imaging was billed as diagnostic imaging as oppose to preventative They reviewed my case and knew everything about me having to go back and still stated that if Aurora rebilled insurance with the correct preventative coding, which they provided me it would be covered I contacted Aurora billing and submitted a request for review, which I just received a letter in the mail stating they were sticking to their coding and were not going to rebill This is not the first case of being billed with the wrong code and being brushed off by them But this is one

I had surgery back in the summerI was told that the surgery I was requesting was covered 100% by insuranceI called and actually verified this with my insuranceTurns out the doctor did a slightly newer procedure that was NOT covered 100% by my insurance leaving me a large bill I had not budgeted for
The billing department treated me like garbage and had me in tears when I told them I could afford dollars a month initiallyThey wanted I paid it down a another month and got the payment down to dollars by my calculationI called today to finalize a a billing statement and the lady told me I now needed a dollar down payment and dollars a monthOnce I told her I guess the bill will be heading to collections she agreed to the dollars Aurora used to work with people and showed compassion for a situationThey don't do that anymore and as soon as my PCP provider retires I am switching to a new practiceThe procedure should have been verified by them to make

Recently I was sent by a free clinic with a $voucher to get blood work done and I told the free clinic about my 'possible' soon to be full time employee status and had concerns Its okay we will give you a voucher, just go to Aurora Okay I go there for the blood work lady at the desk asked about insurance and I said I have supplemental and this voucher Here is why I am pissed off By law they have to bill your insurance and ignore the voucher Well if you would of told me that I would of waited for FULL TIME BENEFITS with my new job which happen next month Now I have a $bill I could of saved hundreds if the person at the desk or anyone at the free clinic would of explained how it works Nope got the old tee hee we just probed you up the butt and you have to pay ha ha ha ha haA year ago I had total knee replacement there and my old leg was better to walk on and able to do things than the replacement My knee has less range, less mobility, my heels hurts now and its even more problematic to go up and downstairs If you dont have to use Aurora (insurance provider limitations) DONT They suck Just a chop shop money grubbing incompetent place

I have been trying to receive a copy of my medical records for the past month from this facilityI have requested them twice and sent an authorization of release twice to their medical record officeMy insurance company has also contacted them as well through the mailI was told via phone, three weeks ago, that they would be mailed to my home addressMe nor my insurance company have received the records yetI have contacted their office several times this week with little assistance and no further action

I am disputing the amount of the debt that Aurora is stating that is owed to them for a visit to their Lakeshore South Milwaukee Podiatry Office in South Milwaukee, WI I have been going back and forth with their billing department since receiving their bill in January as I believe that the invoice is grossly inflated for the services that were actually provided The billing dept reviewed my bill when I first received it and sent a correspondence that simply said they reviewed the coding and it was correct That was it - however, they never provided any documentation to support their position that the coding was in fact correct, just stated it was After going round and round with them with no help, I contacted the doctor's office directly I finally reached someone there who actually took an interest in helping me and has provided me with the coding details After my review of same, I am 100% certain that the services provided were coded incorrectly Therefore, she passed my di

The experience I had with one of the Aurora Hospital facilities was dramatically worse than any other facility or organization I have ever dealt with before Shocking and appalling are the words I would use to describe the standards at this facilityThe response to my consumer concerns and complaints by staff and upper management defied ethical standards in my opinion Consumer beware Ask questions and know your patient rights as the organization applied minimal or less than minimal standards of care
