I had a balance owed to Aurora for services under guarantor accounts (for health care services & for Behavioral health services)I was making payments on the balance owed and requested a payment plan/The payment plan had me making payments for over $eachUpon not accepting this and requesting a lower one that would better meet my financial ability to repay they forwarded all the accounts to collections insteadThey sent the accounts to State Collections and AmeriCollectBoth companies received the exact same accountsFrom there these collection agencies then forwarded the balances to Alliance Collection and Professional Placement ServicesI had paid the balance owed in full to Alliance Collection on 12/The documentation in which I received from Alliance and Professional Placement Services was for the exact same date of serviceAlliance has cleared the collection accounts off my credit report however Professional Placement has notI contact Professional Plac

My wife and I both went to the Aurora *** location to see Dr*** to have annual physicals We have both had physicals at this location, and other Aurora locations previously Our insurance covers these types of visits 100% When we received our bills for the annual physicals both of us were charged two office visits Once for the physical, and an additional visit for unspecified reasons I contacted billing at Aurora, and was told that we both asked questions in our visits I was told that if you ask any questions in the annual physical that they charge for an additional visit no matter what is discussed I explained that we had never had this happen before, and we were not informed that we would be charged additionally In both our cases Dr*** asked if we had any more questions which has always been standard in any visit We both talked for approximately minutes with the doctor about previously discussed issues I was told by billing that it was fair for

We had a bill under a payment plan and we were making the payments on time as agreed upon Additional charges were added after a subsequent doctor visit These new charges were denied by our insurance plan as the insurance company needed "other insurance" updated I contacted our insurance company who stated they would re-process the claim with the information updated I contacted Aurora in the meantime and asked what we could do to keep the bill from going to collections while the insurance company reprocessed the claim They said I needed to make a payment times greater than what the original payment plan was set up for This is not possible at this time and with the account in good standing, I believe it is unreasonable they demand this

I have always held a family insurance planAt each clinic visit Aurora requires us to submit insurance cardsOver a period of months, our insurance changed three timesMy husband's employer changed insurance companies, and shortly after this, he changed jobs, hence the three different policies in a short period of time Aurora billed the wrong insurance for several different claims, the most notable charge for $669.64, was a full bill for the cost of immunizations for my year old sonAll of my insurance plans covered immunizations 100% (per the Affordable Care Act)Because, Aurora was unable to handle the billing appropriately, they assessed me the full amountI disputed the claim with Kathy *** in the billing officeI was told that I would have to come in with my paperworkI attempted to schedule an appointment with her, but was told I just have to walk inWhenever I attempted to do so, she was unavailableI work full time, and trying to work this out has been an undu

On June 28th I contacted Arora recommended by my insurance to set up an appointment and discuss conditions of setting up an appoint to be seen and costs at 19:a call that lasted min and secondsI was directed to go to the facility and they could assist me with the classification of the services I was requestingAt the facility I explained what I was needing and what I expected to happenDue to sunburn I had gotten while traveling and due to more extensive traveling I was concerned of infectionIn order to keep It from getting infected I needed and expected some sort of moisturizer to keep it from drying out and over the counter was not workingI was told that as long as I didn’t require any testing or procedures outside a doctors visit They would file it under preventiveThe visit went as expected in fact I got less attn than I was expectingI inquired again as to any financial responsibility on my part after seeing the doctor knowing that nothing that was done wa

After months of consistently paying on a bill I was turned over to collectionWhen attempting to set up payment plan on my next bill they were unwilling to work out something I could afford and said they'll just turn me over to collections if I can't afford the monthly rate

9/2/I had surgery on my right leg I had a stent put in which was well over $ *** my portion of the bill was $ *** I was making monthly payments but they put my bill in collections with out any notice, I have to go have vein mapping every to months and I am on different meds, I love my Doctors but because of the non caring billing rules I have terminated Aurora Not sure what I will do now but Aurora billing should be as caring for people as there doctors, I always thought that making payments in good faith was and still is a positive way of life, To anyone reading this please be aware that Aurora Health care Billing has no compassion for no one, This really sadden me because now I am left with medical issues that I don't know what to do!!!!

I paid in cash for a throat culture at Aurora clinic in April 2014, it cost 70$ In October/November 2015, nearly years later, they sent me a bill for this service When I called to inquire, they said they would look into it, but the following month turned it over to a collection agency
Last December I spoke to the collection agency representative and she had said she would solve it with Aurora
From to have lived abroad in various countries Aurora says they tried to contact me at an address in Georgia this time to collect payment - I do not know why When I received the first bill the billing rep said she would look into it, as $is not the correct amount, and it is strange that I was billed so late Additionally from January to October I was living in the USAurora had my address, sent me numerous bills and I paid all of these bills (several thousand dollars) When I called today to discuss it with them, they said this was an error on my side,

On 11-9-my daughter Jessica *** {Aurora account # ***) had a x-ray appointment in a Aurora clinic and at that time she was charged a $fee as a "deposit"for her xray. She was told it would be refunded when the insurance comes throughOur City of *** insurance does not have this as a chargeI contacted the City of *** Insurance Director Mike Brady and he advised no such charge is in effect
I attempted to get this fee back several times from Aurora on the phone, they told me they have no interest in returning this user feeThey mentioned having purchased "new machines" and "somebody has to pay for them" None of that is my concern, only getting my back It's been months now, if I waited months to pay them I would be assessed a late fee, maybe I should seek that too! Aurora has been paid for this claim
Thank You Dan ***

I went to Aurora Walk in Clinic on July 15, When I checked into be seen for a spot on my leg, I was told the charge would be $ I paid the $on July At no time was I told I would be charged for seeing a specialist
Michael * *** ** saw me on July and after glancing at the spot on my leg, told me I should make an appointment with my regular physician I did not see the specialist that Aurora is billing me for seeing and again, was not informed when I checked in that they would be charging me to see a specialist

My husband was advised to seek medical treatment from his supervisor regarding what looked like a bug bit We sought medical treatment at the Aurora Health Care located at *** * *** *** *** *** ** *** on June 18, At this time, we advised them right away regarding Worker's Comp also provided the information as well as a copy of his Human Health Insurance card We were hesitant of doing this but were told if Worker's Comp didn't accept the claim then they will bill ***, without allowing them the information (regarding our health insurance-***) they would bill us directly Of course, we gave the clerk his card, she scanned his card and that was the end My husband filed the Worker's Comp report with his employer at the direction of his supervisor We never heard anything from his employer, *** *** ** *** until January this year
We did receive a letter from Aurora Health Care advising us that this would be self-pay if we didn't give them our he

Absolutely horrible billing departmentI had a preauthorized surgery, Auroa coded the charges incorrectly to the insurance company, resulting in a partial decline of paymentAfter more than calls and two appeals to the insurance company, I was still declined insurance payment because it was determined that Aurora didn't follow standard medical protocolsDuring the time that charges were pending insurance payment, any additional payments from myself or insurance were applied to the wrong billsI spent hours on the phone with Aurora and my auto insurance company trying to figure out why I was being billed for an auto injury treatment that was paid by insuranceI also paid copayments for routine healthcare, which was applied incorrectlyAgain, calling numerous times to get payments straightened out, and requested a detailed statement of charges and paymentsAurora could not supply my with any type of detailed billing statementUltimately because of the billing issues, and ongoing insurance appeals, payments became "overdue" Aurora's billing department was unwilling to resolve the issues and sent numerous bills to collection that should have been paidI now have numerous derogatory marks on my credit score because Aurora sent each charge individually to collections instead of one billI refuse to make any payments to Aurora or collections until I can receive a detailed statement, and payments are applied properly to the bills which I hadIt has been a nightmare, time-consuming, and financially devastating, all because Aurora's billing department screwed up

Billing and collection practices are unreasonable, bills are sent to collections while payments are being madeI had set up automatic monthly withdrawals for what was affordable for me and right after I did I receive phone calls requesting that I change the amount to a higher amount because they wanted the bills to be paid within monthsI have been sued twice and as soon as one judgement is paid they sue me for moreI have been trying to pay both the lawsuits and current bills but they just keep sending my payments to collectionsAlso while I was making payments, they decided it was not enough money so they started refusing service to me, even though I have always had insuranceMy insurance has been double billed for services which of course they will not pay leaving me with the billsI have just finished a judgement and now I have received paperwork threatening another lawsuit with bills going back to 2012, which I have already tried to dispute as I was under the impression t

*I have filed a complaint directly with Aurora Healthcare regarding DrL***, as well as with the US Dept of Health and Human Services Office This is regarding a doctor at their facility.*
I had made an appointment for a new physician via phone on 5/2/ I was actually trying to make an appointment with another suggested doctor (DrA***) but was told he stopped taking new patients about weeks ago They transferred me to a different office that had a few doctors accepting new patientsOnce transferred, I was told the soonest Doctor I could get in to see was DrJohn L*** I was asked to bring in $cash (due to not having insurance coverage until July 2018), a list of current medications and current concernsI brought all information and my full payment to the appointment on 5/3/ His office staff was VERY kind and welcoming They spoke very highly of him when welcoming me and said that I would be very pleased with how great of a doctor he wasOnce he walked into the room, he shook my hand- introducing himself and immediately sat down asking me what I was looking for in coming to him I explained that I use to work in Illinois, but am now working in Wisconsin- closer to home and needed to establish care to continue to have a regular doctor and to also maintain current medicationsBefore we went any further in my "concerns" specifically, DrL*** proceeded to tell me, in an incredibly rude tone, as if almost being scolded by a parent, that he had reviewed my chart "extensively" prior to coming into my exam room, and from what he could tell, I was a "high risk patient" I asked him to explain what that meant so that I could better understand where he was coming from He told me that there is a website that doctors will check once they see a new patient and on it shows every doctor that the patient has seen, reason for the visit and any medications prescribed or discontinued(That made absolute sense to me) He started to read off certain doctor names to see if I "remembered" why I saw them and when I did know who he was speaking of He told me that a doctor in particular (one that he kept referring to: DrM***) had put in the notes that when she saw me earlier this year (February if I am not mistaken), she had expressed concern with regards to the medications I was currently on and had been prescribed That the combination was not something healthy for a patient and was not sure why they were combined and why I had been on them for as long as I have been I agreed with DrL*** regarding DrM***’s note about that and the conversation I had with her I told DrL*** that DrM*** was the first doctor to express concern for the anti-depressants that I was on, combined with the pain medication and anxiety medication That once I had that appointment with her and she shared the information on her concern (to which I told her that day I was beyond grateful for her raw honesty and appreciated her want/need to help me) I expressed to DrM*** during that same appointment, that I wanted to stop taking the daily anti-depressants not only for that reason alone, but I was not noticing a difference in them the past year and almost felt worse DrM*** was happy to hear my positive reaction once she gave me her feedback had given me a referral to a psychiatrist and Neurologist, as well as scheduled a follow up appointment with her specifically in a few months (she wanted to see me before she left on maternity leave.) Unfortunately, I was unable to follow through on the appointment with her or the referral doctors because I had then lost my health insurance due to being laid off I had decided that once I was back to work, I would see a physician close to my job or within the new insurance plan, and that is why I was seeing DrL***That information did not seem to matter to him, nor did my list of “concerns” that I was politely asked to provide On that list (to which I have a copy of), I stated that I was starting to wean off of current anti-depressants (Wellbutrin XL and Prozac) as I felt that they were not helping me and wanted some advice on what steps to take next (what my options were, any medication suggestions, etc.) I wanted to take whichever steps would be best for me and my health situation He continued to speak "down" to me stating that he will NOT prescribe me any refills on my antidepressants or other controlled substances Stated that I was taking controlled pain medication, but I am NOT I have not taken any pain medication that was "controlled" since Late 2017/early My daily medications are anti-depressants and Adderall Medications listed in my chart, visible to him, were no longer being used or prescribed (this information was from over the past few years and with the last doctor I was under care with since 2014) He continued to question my motive in seeing him and also trying to see how truthful I was being about certain hospital stays or specialists seen Each time I gave him my answer, the answer provided by me seemed to not be good enough for him and he would look at me in disbelief, as if there was more information that I was not giving himHe then stated that if I had been a patient at the Diamond Headache Center for days in Chicago (which I was in 2014, and had stated that on my new patient paperwork) what was the outcome? Did they not help me? Unfortunately for me, they did not They tried But nothing was done to make my health issues any better I told him that during my stay there I was told to push a nurse button any time I felt a headache or migraine come on, and the nurse would show up with a new medication for me to try This was a process of elimination The only “tests” they did for me was bloodwork the day I arrived and the day I left their facility I also stated that if DrL*** would like, I would be happy to contact them and provide him with the records of my stay there so that he knew all details and to validate any information I was giving him He looked at me with a look of “well duh”, and stated that he would want that information ASAP I told him that was not a problem and I was happy to provide him with any information or documentation that he would want or need for my chartI was on the verge of tears the entire time he was speaking to me thus far because I could not believe the tone he was using and the disrespect he was giving me He is a doctor of medicine- a professional Someone that is trained to be empathetic, compassionate and kind to all patients, regardless of who they are or what their medical condition is I understand 100% if there are issues with certain medications and doctors not agreeing why another doctor would prescribe it However, as I explained to him- the doctors are individuals that we, as patients are to trust in making decisions best for our health and future So any medications prescribed to me were taken out of trust for my previous doctor and him making sure it was safe and appropriate for me during his care I did not personally write a prescription for myself or tell another doctor what I “thought” I needed- I was doing what was suggested by my doctor at the time And even with that all being said, one of my concerns for the visit this week was to discuss my options and get better care However, I was continually being dismissed during the appointment and told “since I am not prescribing you any of these medications, you can decide whether or not you want to continue being a patient here”I told him that I was still in need of a regular doctor- it was not about a list of “wants”… I needed his professional help He reminded me yet again that he would not be prescribing certain medications, including one of my anti-depressants (the Wellbutrin XL) I agreed with him and said “how do I come off of a medication I have taken for over years? I need your help and advice please Do I cut the pill in half? Take it every other day for a certain time?” He said “just stop the medication- that is all that I can tell you and all that I can do for you.” I asked if that was “safe” to do since majority of that appointment with him was spoken so much about safety with medications He repeated again to stop the medication and that was all that he could do or was willing to do, since he was not going to provide a refill on it (This “advice” alone has me concerned as I put my trust into someone new, since it is a medication that works with the brain and over the years I have been told to “wean” off of these types of medications, not just abruptly stop He also has it marked in the paperwork he gave me that I was to immediately stop the medication I am praying there is no adverse effect in doing this.)
He questioned all of my health history, but when I continued to say “no” to a history of certain cancers (possible family) and tests, he became even more short with me Again, I was holding back tears as best I could I felt that he was looking a different answer, but I was not going to be dismissive or provide informationHe asked me to get on the examine table and he checked my eyes, ears, mouth, glands, etc Once he was done, he stated that he would refill the one antidepressant (Prozac), but that was it He would give me referrals to other doctors (Neurology- which I have a neurologist, but he never asked me about that As well as Psychiatry) but also said that I would not be able to get in until I had health insurance He stepped out of the room and came back with my After Visit Summary and went over yet again the part about him not prescribing certain medications to me and having me understand that would never change(On the document itself, he underlined it in black pen during the time he went over it with me.) He stated that he had ordered blood work to be done (this was one of my “concerns” listed for him) and that I could go immediately to the lab to do it and did not need to stop at the front desk to schedule any further appointments, since they would call me next week with the results He shook my hand and we departed the roomI stopped at the front desk because I needed a doctor note, since I was going to be late to work They kindly said they would work on it for me and said that I could just wait at the front, which was more than fine While waiting, they printed out paperwork for me with all of my detailed information Handed it to me and I noticed that it listed many allergies to medications I had never tried, let alone have allergies to My weight was not listed correctly (it said and during that appointment I weighed lbs) and it also stated other issues such as hepatitisI got immediately concerned when I saw that and flipped to the next page- it was NOT my information It was for another female patient that the doctor had seen Everything on that document that was personal was listed and was a HUGE violation of privacy I expressed my concern- they took it from me, apologized for the error and re-printed my personal information They also provided me with the doctor note for work I thanked them for their help and time and walked to the elevator where I started to sob my eyes out uncontrollablyI called my mother to have someone to vent to and to calm me down DrL*** had spoken to me as if I was some human trying to seek drugs from him, that he did not take me seriously and that he made me feel as if I was some repeat offender by labeling me to my face as a “high risk patient” The ONLY controlled medication I am currently on and have been for years is Adderall That is it Pain medications and such have not been prescribed to me in months and I have not asked for them due to the long term effects that have me concerned and brought to my attention If I was seeking “drugs” solely, I would not have paid $out of pocket to see a doctor…Have the visit and other visits documented in my chart and pay for medications out of pocket If my goal was to solely get medications that are of the addictive nature, I am certain I could do what many others do and buy them on the streets Why would I waste my time and money seeing a respectable doctor?
I did NOT go and get the bloodwork because I was too embarrassed with how upset I was for others to see me in that manner Once I got home I cried enough to bring on a migraine and then called into work because I was too sick to even drive All of this because I was a new patient, trying to establish care, and being humiliated and disrespected by a man who is a doctor-who has goals of being understanding, helpful and trustworthy, and fell incredibly short of that with this appointment I now need to find a doctor that DOES understand what I have been through and the goals I have in being a healthy adult, without reading any notes from my current appointment from a doctor who had no interest in helping me- but instead making his day better with his lack of professionalism and respect toward another human in general I feel like there are more details from this experience to share, but I am still so upset that I am forgetting some Either way, I am happy to discuss this situation in person with someone or even over the phone, as I want all of this documented so that it NEVER happens to someone else again Thankfully I am one to speak up when treated poorly… I cannot say the same about others who do not have a voice and that scares me for them

My husband was admitted into this location on 5-15-I have visited him every dayHis room is unbearably hotHis nurses have told him to keep his door open, close the blinds, drink water, and put water on his armsHe has complained to multiple nurses every day about thisHe finally convinced them to call maintenance to his roomThey came up and determined that his air conditioning wasn't working and that it was degrees in his roomThey said they would be back the next day to fix it, but they never came to fix itIt is so hot that he wakes up covered in sweatThis isn't how a hospital should treat it's patientsI'm very dissatisfied with this facility and can't believe the amount of money we will be paying this establishment that doesn't even have working air conditioning

Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center claims that my daughter used a room (code 0450) which she was never put in a room she was left in the hallway for more than an hour before seen by a doctorAlso, she was reported as ED level where Aurora uses levels where level is the high risk, but when my daughter arrived at Aurora she was not taken care of for more than an hourI contacted Auroa about this matter and they told me that the computer does not make adjustments, so I asked if the can make the proper adjustments and they told me that they were going to email their consumer satisfaction department and I have not been contacted

On April 7thof I was admitted to the ER at West Allis Memorial Hospital because I was vomiting uncontrollablyI had been referred from an Aurora Urgent Care Clinic, which my partner had found by searching in my CCHP appI was covered for the first hospital, and I was told that I was covered for West Allis Aurora HospitalWhen we came in, despite the fact that I was vomiting into a bucket, they took my insurance card and told me I was covered and would be seen immediatelyWhen I got to my room, they took blood samples and immediately gave me an IV with fluidsDuring this time, a woman with a movable payment station rolled up and again took my insurance card, as well as my IDAt this time, I was told that my copay would be a mere $dollars and was billed for the $copay on the spotShe ran my card, she gave me a receipt and walked away, and my boyfriend and I mused together about how impressed we were by the simple, affordable payment process offered at the Aurora Emerg

On December 26, I received a bill for $ I sent in a payment for that amount with my HSA card, not realizing that it was expiring at the end of the month Of course, the payment couldn’t be made I went ahead and called Aurora’s billing department and let them know to please wait, I had to order a new card I received my new card and mailed the total payment on February 11, I got a letter in the mail today from a collection agency stating that I owed $ I called Aurora and they told me that although I had made the payment, since December another $was added to the bill and that was sent to collections I paid that bill today Feb 26, over the phone When I called the collection agency, they said I only owed $ I did not make a payment to the collection agency, but instead sent them my receipt from the payment to Aurora They said that this matter should be cleared up, but I am worried that this information will be added to my credit I

On October 14, 2016, I received a bill form State Collection Service, Inc, on behalf of Aurora Wilkenson Medical ClinicIt was a bill for The service date was 5/17/(this must be for medical records, as I was seeing no doctor there at this time)I paid the bill to the collection agency immediately, as I pride myself on my excellent payment history and am very conscious of my credit scoreThis morning, I received a call form the collection agency telling me that I owed additional money to AuroraThey told me a bill was in the mail (I have not yet received it)This time, I tried calling Aurora, but was not able to reach a representativeI checked my Aurora billing history as it exists on their websiteI was never billed for the service I paid for on October 14thEverything through the summer of that they list in online billing statements, has been paid
I am extremely concerned that Aurora is turning over bills to a collection agency that they never tried to coll
