Was on a payment plan with Aurora, and had been making the agreed upon payments monthly After making my payment for October, I began receiving collection notices from various agencies, as every one of my accounts had been turned over to collection with no notification that it was going (which they will do if you are not on a payment plan) I was told that they would refer this to the Bad Debt Department to have these called back, as they don't know why they were sent over, but that it could take upwards of days to have an investigation done Meanwhile my credit is being ruinedI was told that even if I had missed just ONE payment, they'd send it to collections, with no notice, which I think is completely wrong...people are human and mistakes happenI do not see by my records that I have missed something, but if I did, I certainly would have appreciated the opportunity to make good on it by alerting me of the situation This is also not the first time this has happened, I had

On 7/19/2015, I received a bill for services that were provided to my wife on 2/18/in the amount of $This bill only contained a payment for services that were provided on 2/18/for visit # ***A payment request was submitted through my HSA with Fidelity on 8/04/in the amount of $253.67, and the payment was confirmed for the account with Aurora Health CareOn 12/04/2015, I contacted Aurora Health Care in regards to a collection letter that I received from Professional Placement Services in the amount of $While speaking with Lindsey, she shared with me that there were transactions that were submitted to collection agenciesOne was for $from 4/12/and the other was for $from 2/18/I shared my confusion as to why the collection amount was not included in those amounts and Lindsey shared that these were the amounts and transactions that were identified on my accountI began searching through my records to determine that status o

They performed a procedure without getting authorization from our insuranceThen coded the procedure incorrectly with our insurance, causing them to decline Under their network agreement they are not supposed to charge the insured for this, but they did anyway It took a year to figure all this out, due to their management and procedural incompetenceAnd they are still sticking the bill on usThis is robbery plain and simple You cant just charge me for a Lamborghini when I asked for a ford fiesta

Patient Visit on 3/13/2016-3/14/
Patient ***
We are writing to dispute all charges for the patient visits noted above due to the staff of Dr***’s office and Aurora Baycare not obtaining pre-authorization from Network Health, our insurance carrier, despite our being told that it had been on multiple occasionsNetwork Health has already been notified of this
We have attempted to resolve this through multiple phone calls May and June, but have consistently been passed from one office to another without any true effort to assist usWhen we finally reached the department responsible for doing pre-authorizations, the person we spoke to told us we must have known that Aurora Baycare was not in-network and it was our responsibility
Below is a summary of the events as we understand them
On January *** *** saw DrJames *** regarding potential sleep apnea, on the referral of DrDaniel ***, (an in-n

I received a billing statement from Aurora on March 5, with a balance owed of $I made payment in the amount of $on March 10,
Today I received a letter from Professional XXXXXx that this balance was sent to collectionsThe account got turned out to collections only after I questioned why they were saying that I had an additional $that I owed to collections
This was done after my MyAurora message sent to customer service and a rep by the name of XXXXX who is works in the Patient Contact Center stated that I never paid
This is the message I received from Kati:
You also have a $balance with State Collections for date of service 10/12/If you would like to pay that balance as well, please call I apologize for any confusion
The statement that was received on 3/5/was for services on 10/12/17, that showed the balance owed of $which then a payment in the amount of $was paid on 3/10/
I'm being charged again and sen

On 1/14/I was seen by *** *** *** at the Aurora Health Care Clinic in Whitefish Bay I had an acne type/black head cyst on my back that I could not reach I asked him if he could take care of it He didHe used a scalpel, it took about minutes I was surprised to receive a bill for this procedure for *** On the bill it was called outpatient surgery At no time was I informed of what this would cost nor that it would be considered surgery I complained to DrOlson and to Aurora billing and both replied that there is nothing they can do
I did not leave that office thinking that I had surgery There was no anesthetic and no stitches Just a band aid with some gauze
I am asking for this bill to be reduced to the cost of a Drvisit which is what I was expecting and had no reason to expect otherwise

This is a complaint against Lori at the *** *** clinic I called to schedule an appointment for my year old son that's in painMy phone records all my calls so the entire conversation is recorded Lori is very unprofessional and unhelpful She asked me questions and when she didn't like answer she seemed irritated I tried explaining to her what the nurse said when she called me back Lori wasn't interested nor was she interested in looking at the notes left by the nurse to clear up any confusion I did speak with *** *** *** but I'm not confident that my complaint will be addressed in a proper manner I will also be filing a complaint with the state of WI Thank you

I received bills from medical services that my insurance had not paid on I knew there would be a balance, so I began paying $100/month towards the balance and emailed aurora online regarding my situation To paraphrase the email, I informed Aurora that my insurance has yet to pay on a majority of the bills and that I would pay in full once my insurance had paid their part (even though I was paying as a measure of good faith) I received a collections notice for my balance of $ I called and tried to reason with Aurora's billing staff, asking them to take back the collections notice and I would pay in full I was advised that because I didn't set up "A PAYMENT PLAN" that they would not take back the collections notice I talked to a supervisor (Megan at ###-###-####) who said the same thing...Megan acknowledged my email, but it didn't matter because I didn't set up a payment plan To avoid having t

Aurora referred to us an out of network specialist who charged us over dollars and spent 5-minutes with usNot only was it inconsiderate to not double check with a patient about their insurance but then the bill hounds startedWe have been making payments on our bill for months (including this month) but decided to call Aurora's billing department after receiving a bill in the mail threatening to send us to collectionsMy wife took the time and called the billing department to try and get a payment plan put on record with themAfter mentioning the payment plan, the agent named Victor, proceeded to become aggressive and threaten to send us to collections again even after stating we could pay the whole sum of the bill on March 1stPutting this bill on the credit card and being done with Aurora foreverWhat could you do better? Not be aggressive with your customers especially when they are attempting to pay the bill and remember that health insurance rates really DO matter to working families, be considerate of thatSave your automated customer service response for someone elseGoodbye forever, enjoy robbing people

Kepler Drive in Green Bay, Baycare "after hours" clinic for Orthopedics/Sports MedicineThis is not our regular doctor or locationNever have been here beforeWas scheduled at this location for a follow up visit due to scheduling conflicts with regular doctor hours at the main Aurora hospitalAn evening appointment was made days prior to this visitMy son had to sit on my lap due to the limited seating and full room of patientsWas uncomfortable as I felt everyone was breathing each others airI am not one to complain, but my time with my son is very important to meI can understand a five, maybe ten minute wait, but after minutes of waiting, and other patients still ahead of us, I cancelled my appointmentAnd I never cancel appointments! It was a simple follow up that would have taken less than a minute with the doctorWas told nicely by receptionist "yeah we've been really busy"Guess what? Not my problemI'm really busy alsoThis appointment was made two weeks agoWaste of gas and time with my sonNo problem with any other location, but I will never return to this particular location again

I called my insurance company on 09/05/and spoke to someone there named Kendra where I asked where I could go for an Urgent Care visitShe gave me the address of Aurora Medical Group at *** ** *** *** ** *** ** *** I asked the insurance company lady if they do lab will it just be a $urgent care copyI was told yesthis call was made on 09/05/I went to the Urgent care facility where the sign says urgent care in bright red and sign over the door that says urgent care Weeks later I got a bill for $as my insurance denied the charges as Aurora Healthcare billed the stay as a walk in clinic and not as urgent careThey are billing under and fraudulent billing practicesI then called my insurance who then contacted my insurance spoke to an Yvonne at united health care phone number ###-###-#### ext *** then on 11/I called AURORA HEALTH CARE a

I contacted Aurora on several occasions in the past five weeks looking for information regarding an alleged debt more than five years old that I noticed on my credit reportAfter speaking to many different representatives who couldn't locate the account I was finally directed to someone who found the accounts, but couldn't tell me any distinctive information about itI followed up after speaking to the third party collector who reported on my credit report to have aurora directly send me an itemized statement to know exactly what the charges were for, however aurora took it upon themselves to send my personal health information to the third party collectorI was very specific when asking to be directly sent the information from aurora as I find it extremely unsettling to have my private information in the hands of anyone who so chooses to take a peekI then asked for information regarding HIPPA compliance from aurora however they stated I wasn't entitled to that information as it w

In I had a colonoscopy performed as part of a preventative procedure At that time I was to be contacted a few years later for a future examination About two months ago such a procedure was performed
Communications to date have been that this is a preventative procedure However a month or so after the procedure, I received a bill in excess of $2,which I have now been told I am responsible for I was informed that while the same procedure was performed four years earlier (the exact same medical codes were used), it was not considered preventative…however if I had this procedure done six years later from now, it would be considered preventative
In my scheduling and preparation for my colonoscopy, at no time was it explained to me that it would not be considered a preventative procedure Had it been clearly communicated as such, alternate decisions would have been made
This is a significant expense which I find difficult to understand for a procedure that took

I was making biweekly payments to an account in the name of my spouseAurora stopped pulling that amount from my account without any noticeSince I had the same dollar amount being pulled biweekly for two other accounts I assumed one of the accounts had been paid offI have now been contacted from a collections company stating that Aurora sent the bill to them for "aging" and is telling me I must pay either 1/monthly; or 1/now with the remainder split into two payments; or to pay in full by Thursday 6/2! I was set up on auto payments biweekly, not missing any paymentsSuddenly they stop taking money and now it's in collections with the notice that if it isn't paid on by 6/legal proceedings can beginWhy won't Aurora work with us to pay the bill? I have another account that is older and I still make biweekly payments on that? What makes this account different? I even requested that all of my bills be combined into one so I could make one payment and that was deniedWhy is th

I have a bill with Aurora Health Care in the amount of $I am newly out of work and called Aurora's Milwaukee billing department to set up a payment arrangement, because I cannot take care of the bill in full at this timeThe amount I am able to make per month is $due to not having my work incomeThey will setup a payment plan for me in the amount of $a monthA payment I cannot take on at this timeThe billing specialist instructed me that my balance was to be sent to collections if I did not agree to the $68/month plan
Note: When I spoke with them on 5/18/2016, I also made a good faith payment in the sum of $to show my interest in paying this bill

As I have done over the last few years, I went to see my primary care physician Dr*** ** *** at Aurora Healthcare, Whitefish Bay location for my annual physical on 4/13/This is supposed to be the wellness visit that is covered at 100% by my insurance UHCMy appointment with *** *** was at 3:PM on 4/13/and it ended in just under minutesI have a proof as I have a printed “summary of visit” document that they gave me which has a timestamp of 4:PM
When I received the billing statement from Aurora, I was surprised to see that they had charged me for visits, one for the annual physical and another one for “Office Visit” for an additional $
I called Aurora on 5/18/to dispute this double charge and I spoke with AmandaHowever, yesterday I received a letter from Aurora saying that they will NOT correct this double chargeThis is very disappointing, strange and very wrong on Aurora's part to double charge patients like thisAmanda was telling me th

They did not work with me to pay an outstanding bill with a mediocre doctor I would rather have surgery in a third world country and have 50/chance of survival than deal with AuroraI would give them no stars or negative stars if possible On a scale of to 10, Aurora is actually a negative These are the worst people ever

I had a terrible experience with Baycare Eyecare ClinicMaybe I needed to do my homework before going there, I will admit and accept thatI saw the ads on TV for LASIK surgery and I went out there for an assessmentNext thing I know, I'm signed up for cataract surgeryI had no ideaPlease don't judge me harshly here, I suffered a stroke in and my thought processes don't work correctly anymoreFor example when asked "which lens will you be going with?", I was taken aback as I had no information with which to make a choiceIt was only later when I was waiting to see DrAlmond, that I noticed a stack of brochures explaining the differences between the various lensesMaybe the staff is so used to the products that they feel everybody else is familiar with them also? I don't knowI also had some complications from the surgery and was billed extra for the retinal scans required by the doctorI have also lost the ability to read books, the newspaper, etcWhen I asked about it, I was brushed off with a quick aside of "you can't expect to see at all distances with the choice of lemses you made"Okay, but I wish you would have explained that to me in the first placeI have no problem with DrAlmond, she seems very nice and caringI feel the problems are coming from the front office personnel

Aurora Sinai hospitalized my 25-year-old son from 5/28/to 6/6/Honestly, the care was good, and his life was savedThe problem lies in billingOf his two fully paid policies, they accidentally billed the wrong insurance, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, as primary, instead of Aetna (his actual primary)We (his parents) and my son paid off the balance in September, Though Aurora e-mails him about payments applied to his account, they failed to e-mail him when Anthem withdrew their payments of over $40,in April, The three parties, Aurora, Anthem, and Aetna, did nothing about thisHe found out only when debt collectors contacted him on 7/25/We have dealt regularly with all three parties, and my son has stayed in frequent communication with the collection agenciesThe insurance companies have dealt with Aurora as wellAurora acknowledges the error as their own, but progress is incredibly slowEach person in the billing department promises action, yet part of
