I would give them no stars if I could they suck, and they take advantage of people. I think the ***, or all the people that went through them should file a class action law suit! They snake everyone, and they know people are desperate to get a home. They tell everyone they qualify, then denies you. They know what they are doing, and we need to tell everyone, in the media, and our family, and friends not to fall for it. They should be wipe from the earth, and they are not nice people at all!

My experience with Home Partners was a positive one. Particularly once I was connected with my realtor for the process. She worked with me to find the home we wanted and kept us informed of the process throughout. There were a few disappointments with some of the terms of the program as it is a bit expensive, but overall I am pleased with the experience to this point.

I recently was approved for their rent to own program. However, the advertised as well as stated on the phone prior to meet submitting my application that they offer homes in Washington DC. Once I applied, no homes were available in Washington DC proper. The homes they have listed in surrounding suburban areas.
I looked on their site for updated information to see if I could better understand this change and there was no update. Also, they did not inform any realtors of this change as my realtor and another realtor friend were not aware of the cities they removed from their approved list.
I also proceeded to call and ask these same questions to a Home Partners Representative, who was very unhelpful. She stated very clearly that the program is what it is and if the house is not on their site you cannot get it approved or ask for it to be considered as your home of choice. Why put the house requirements on the site if the customer/client is not allowed to find a home within the criteria.
Given the high rates in which you will be paying for a home, it is ridiculous you are not able to get a home in the area, especially in Washington DC since it is considered a metropolitan area. I could see if I chose a home and it was not within the requirements but as the person agreeing to comment to a 12 month to 5-year contract with this company, the customer should be able to choose the home of their liking. You are pretty much at the expense of this company if you choose to move forward.

Hi Brittany, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We are focused on resident affordability and increasing likelihood of our residents success in purchasing the home. We target the broadest group of communities where we think both our residents can succeed and Home Partners can efficiently service their needs. Because of this, we focus on the median price point in the area, and the latest price caps and approved communities are communicated to agents multiple times, including through the main dashboard of our agent portal and monthly newsletters. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to [email protected].

Thank you, Gary!

Everything was going okay till I started dealing with *** management. I haven't even moved in yet and *** already living up to their bad reputation of not caring. I simply requested to change the move in date since my current lease expires and I'll have no place to stay and the house I'm moving in to requires no work other than cleaning. But the project manager Jeff doesn't understand that there's human being on the other end. To him it's about numbers . My family and I are very sad about this since we were really excited about the new house but unfortunately *** is making the move very stressful.. also I've been speaking with Wanda in Plano since I'm in Austin and she's been very sympathetic but I can't see the same about the heartless project manager. I'm seriously having second thoughts about the move. I'm optimistic that someone at home partners really cares and values my business.

Sami, thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. We understand that you wanted an earlier move-in date. We schedule contractors to take care of all necessary health and safety items that came up on the inspection, in addition to scheduling cleaning, lock changing, etc. Because of this scheduled contract work, we generally require a move-in date that is two weeks after closing. We understand that you have come to an agreement with our team and now have access to the property. If you have any additional concerns, please feel free to reach out.

This company is THE WORST! We unfortunately are renting a house from this company (though Pathlight Property Management). We've been trying for a full 2 weeks now to get the air conditioning fixed! They sent two different repairmen from 2 different companies... still no air! I've called countless times (but can only leave a voicemail), sent countless emails, and left SEVERAL messages on the portal. All this while we were getting ready to renew our lease. I told Tiffany *** at Pathlight that we were not going to be signing any lease until the air was fixed. However, Pathlight started trying to charge us a holdover rent fee! In good faith (and against my better judgment) I went ahead and signed the lease renewal. Now I know I shouldn't have. I mean, who wants to tent a faulty home?! Pathlight has still not fixed the air! Now on top of the holdover rent fees, they are trying to charge us a mysterious $1,600 fee on top of the ridiculously high monthly rent! I've listed my demands several times: 1) Pathlight fix the air by this Friday, 2) Pathlight credit us $54.52 per day we've gone without air, 3) eliminate the ridiculous holdover rent fees, 4) eliminate the mysterious $1,600 charge, and 5) reimburse $139 we spent in a window AC unit we had to get to keep the house below 90 degrees. I've already filed a formal complaint with the *** and my next step is to follow up with the attorneys I've contacted followed by reaching out to all of the local news stations. Our list of demands are to be reached my this Friday (6/7/19) at noon or Pathlight terminates the lease agreement on their own and this goes to litigation. I urge you to contact me immediately!
Beyond angry,
Dan
