Horne Kia Reviews (94)

Tell us why here...The customer signed a contract with a $400 college graduate rebate as a partial payment for the vehicle. The contract for the financing was through an affiliated bank with the dealership after discovering the  customer would not be eligible for the college graduate rebate...

Horne Kia took care of the $400 for the customer ... the customer is not out any money nor has suffered a loss of any kind. and for some reason the customer thinks he can renegotiate the contract or the terms of the financing. The contract is valid it has already been funded by the bank and a lien has been placed on the vehicle. We can not renegotiate the terms of the contract. When two people agree to terms, we put it in writing and sign a contract ...that has been done. its final if the customer wants to go and refinance his loan with another bank that's  his right to do that but we can not restructure the loan he already has. Horne Kia is the one that is out the $400 not the customer Horne Kia would Like him to give us the $400.   Horne Kia considers this matter resolved unless he wants to Pay us the $400 he owes us

Inregards to complaint id #[redacted] we have ordered the cargo cover.

General Manager

The original KIA warranty is for 60000 miles not 36000 and it  covers factory equipment not an aftermarket spoiler.

[redacted] attached is  a copy of the repair order, again Horne Kia will pay for half of the cost of the windshield replacement;  only if our glass vendor does the work ... this is to control the cost and quality. this offer is on the table until August 15th 2015.

I was in the market for a car after mine was totaled in an accident. I was married for 21 years and EVERYTHING was in my husbands name. I went to a car dealership to test drive an advertised 2016 Kia Soul for $9,999. After finding the car on the lot and test driving it, I was told that the advertised car for $9,999 was no longer available (typical bait and switch). I told the salesman, Robert W[redacted], that I did not believe that I would get financing. He then assured me that I should be eligible for the First Time Buyers loan. I wanted to leave when I was stopped and told by Mr. W[redacted] that a car was just brought in a few days earlier. It was priced below what it was worth and that it was a gem!!

I test drove the 2008 VW Beetle. I asked what the price was and was told, don't worry about it. As the dealing started, a man came out with a piece of paper folded up with a monthly payment price of over $380/month. I said No. He returned with a little lower payment, $368. I said no. This continued for over an hour. Finally, the payment went down to $238/month. And I said yes if they could get me the financing. Mr. W[redacted] left to speak with the financial manager, Nissa J[redacted]. He returned and said, "Good news!" "we were able to get you a loan as a first time buyer. Robert W[redacted] the walked me to the financial office where I would be signing the papers with Nissa J[redacted].

The price of the car was $6576. Then Nissa J[redacted] added on a 2 year warranty for $2994. When I asked her to take it off, she told me that the people who were financing me were requiring it. After 4 hours, I finally left for home with the car. The next day, Sunday, I drove to the dealership and gave Nissa a check for the down payment in the amount of $1500. I also asked her why the financing was so high, 17.99%. She told me that the company that IS financing me is being "kind of hard" on me and they want to make sure they are making a good investment.

I felt as if I had no choice and Ms. J[redacted] knew how desperate I was to start my life over after my husband left my daughter and I to be with a stripper. I drove the car for approximately 2 weeks before I got a phone call stating I had to come back in and sign more papers. I've bought several cars in my lifetime and this has never happened. I looked it up online and apparently this is called a "Spot Delivery Scam." A dealer tells you you're approved for financing and then they call you back and tell you it fell through. They then hold your car for ransom as they demand a higher down payment and/or a co signer. In my case they told me to bring the car back because I told them I'm not getting a co-signer nor am I giving them a higher down payment because NISSA J[redacted] outright lied to me and told me that I HAD FINANCING!

At the advise of my lawyer, I requested from Nissa J[redacted], a letter from the financers outlining the particulars as to why I was being declined and what they needed. If a bigger down payment was needed, I wanted Nissa J[redacted] to remove entirely, the warranty she was forcing me to buy for $2495.00. I believe she was not practicing ethically which explains why she did not try to call me or email me. I no longer had any trust in Nissa J[redacted], so after I hadn't heard from her, I returned the car in the exact condition I picked it up in except it had gas and now Nissa is refusing to return my check. ISN'T IT CALLED THEFT WHEN SOMEONE WONT RETURN YOUR MONEY????

The law clearly states that Management is responsible for the actions or lack of, their employees who act on behalf of the company. Shame on your employees and your company for scamming a single mother who makes $13,000 per year. This is inhuman.

I want you to correct this now. I just want my $1500 back ASAP so that I can purchase another car, go to work everyday and support my daughter.

I have contacted the media, filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, the Revdex.com, LemonLaw.com and I have posted and will continue to post my experience with Horne Kia on my neighborhood Facebook groups for Chandler and Gilbert.

I bought a car today at Horne Kia and found their service and professionalism to be top notch. They were transparent and fast and I haven't had a better vehicle buying experience anywhere.

We did respond the Gentlemen did not accept our response, He has contacted the AZ Attorney General. He wishes to renegotiate his original  payment agreement. If anything he owes us the $400 for the rebate he was not entitled to which we advanced to him based on his promise to provide the necessary evidence to qualify for the rebate. Keep in mind that if he is unhappy with the financing arrangement that he agreed too He may refinance the vehicle with the lender of his choice or pay off the loan in its entirety at any time with out penalty.

We are not showing this customer on file if you could have them fax a repair order or receipt to [redacted] that may help we do have some one on file with a same last name with a warranty repair in dec 2014 with no charge to the customer.. we will wait for a reply  Horne Kia considers this...

complaint not valid until we receive accurate information.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Unacceptable, The Horne Kia Service Department are not being accountable. I brought my car to be serviced there and I got my car back with a broken windshield. Justifying that the windshield has defect on it already and wanting to use your own vendor is a big cop out. I was responsible to bring my car in for a safety recall, I expect that your business does the same. To resolve this issue, I need my windshield to be restored to the same way I brought the car to the dealer. I hold the dealer to pay for the entire cost.
Regards,

Regarding complaint# [redacted] We have made several attempts to resolve this issue with Ms. [redacted] she refuses to return our phone calls, emails, text messages, and certified mail. She is not co operating in any way. She needs to contact the dealership immediately to resolve this issue. We are...

willing to work with her to come to an agreeable conclusion to this situation.

Yes the vehicle was purchased from [redacted]. It is not an aftermarket warranty, as the original Kia warranty is good for 36,000 miles. I did purchase an extended warranty that covers the same items as the original Kia warranty. I received a call yesterday from them that the camera was needing to be replaced, which is a manufacture defect and is covered under warranty. Gordon in the service department is amazing and has been the only reason I left my vehicle to be worked on. The rest of customer service at Horne Kia is horrible. I will not be bringing my car back to this dealership and I will make sure that everyone learns of this experience that I received.

Went to this dealership to see if they would match the promotion and price for similar car purchased at another dealership.

I was looking to purchase another vehicle based on that price and promotion from their competitor

[redacted] was closer to my residence wanted to see what they would do first before I went back to their competitor

I brought in proof of the purchase from competitor and everything I paid

I just needed a yes or no answer can they sell me same model and trim with promotion and price I paid from competition a day earlier

Instead of yes or no what I got was a ridiculous 5 year old tantrum move by the sales manager

He walk out throws my keys and paperwork I brought as proof on the desk and walks way mumbling like a child

He threw my stuff

I just wanted a yes or no and he threw my property

Great customer service I have called and emailed everyone I can from the dealership and kia corporate and as of this writing no one has responded or called me back

Think hard before you consider [redacted] or kia in general (they allow him to manage there)

Just needed yes or no

And I got my stuff thrown instead

Side note my contact with internet manager robert white was good he witnessed this childish unprofessional rude act and had good foresight to apologize to me for what occurred Mr. White would do well at a more customer friendly location or promote and fire the other guy because the sales manager he had to go to stained this company reputation

Yes or No

And I got my stuff thrown

Good stuf!

The Revdex.com is a way to fight bad ethics!!! Horne Kia has flat-out lied to us on many levels and on many occasions—first with the sales man(who blames his boss), then the finance department, and then the so-called “general manager”. I was told over text message, over the phone and in person that I would need to sign a new contract. That is why I want to sign a new contract—because I was told I had to and there was no other option. And now just because you say the contract is signed does not mean that it was done ethically. Here are the facts: only after I was told that I have to sign a new contract I responded by telling them I would bring in outside financing to SAVE money. The next thing that happens is that I’m told I did not have to sign a new contract because corporate Kia instantly approved my $400 college graduate rebate—which come to find out now was another lie because they had to pay it out of pocket apparently. They are repeatedly lying and unsuccessfully trying to cover their lies. What kind of business does that? If they know anything about contract law, a verbal/written agreement is a valid contract. And the verbal/written agreement I had was to sign a new contract replacing any previous agreement that I had with them. In an effort to resolve this matter, I am more than willing to pay the $400 along with signing a new contract like we had originally agreed on. It seems as if Horne Kia is willing to do the same.

We offered to pay for half of the cost of a new one since the windshield was partially broke with a bad chip and pitted to begin with the customer refused because he said he didn't half the money for his half of the cost. Our offer still stands we will pay for half if the work is done by our vendor...

so we can keep the cost as minimal as possible.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait until for the business to perform this action...

and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Regards,

My car buying experience with Horne Kia was extremely stressful, "pressured" and dishonest. During the negotiations, the sales person told me he would let me buy the 2016 model (with less options) for the SAME price as a 2015 model I was shown (with more options). Later, he changed his statement to: "I could have the 2016 model for CLOSE to the price of the 2015 model". This was a lie. I was also told they were "paying" for an option as part of their deal with me, when in fact it showed up on the contract. When I questioned them about it, I received a convoluted answer as to why it had to appear on the contract (I ended up paying for this as well). Between the "options" I was required to pay, the high-pressure sales, and the outright dishonesty, I would never return to this place for future business; nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

Review: I dropped off my 2014 Kia Optima SXL Turbo at Horne Kia for some warranty work due to rear spoiler coming off and back up camera not working. I received a call that it will not be covered due to aftermarket work. I purchased this car with warranty as well as extended warranty that would cover all expenses. I have not done anything aftermarket to this vehicle and I believe that this work should be covered. When trying to resolve with the dealership, there is absolutely no customer service and the blame just put back on the customer to deal with. I work as Senior Manager for FedEx and deal with customers on an everyday basis. I could never imagine treating one of my customers the way this whole thing has been handled.Desired Settlement: I would like the items to be repaired under the warranty that I feel I deserve. I have already spent $240 on tires and $40 on an oil change during this visit, and feel it is only right to fix these issues.

Review: On June 10th I purchased a 2015 Nissan Versa from Horne Kia. The Sales person I dealt with was Mr. [redacted] and the contact number that he provided was ###-###-####.

There are 4 problems I wish to report with this sale, 3 of which are still open today.

1. We were told that part of the Kia Sales fee was used to register the car and obtain plates. I was told I would receive my licence plates within 10 days in the mail. They put a temporary paper license plate on the car with a 30 day expiry date. Now, 2 months later, I have still not received my plates. I have had to go back to Kia Horne to get an extension on the paper plates and I still have no idea when the real plates are expected to arrive. I have made 16 phone calls and talked to several different Managers/Departments always to be told I would receive them in 3-5 working days.

2. Part of the Sales Agreement was that we would receive two keys for the car. [redacted] told us that this was a simple request and he wrote an IOU on the Sales documentation. He said it would take 2-3 days for the Service Department to create the key. Again, 16 phone calls later and we were told that a second key was never part of the deal. Having produced the signed paperwork saying that it was we were passed off to the service department. The service department told us that they couldn't cut a Nissan Key so they have passed us off to Nissan to get a key. When I talk to Nissan, they are happy to cut the key but will bill us directly. They say that nobody has reached out to them from Kia about covering the invoice for this. As a result, I have not had a second key created as I do not trust Kia to cover the costs.

3. Part of the Sales Agreement was to fix a broken side mirror. Again, 16 calls later and we have not been scheduled to have that taken care of.

4. Finally, on the day I bought the car I was told that my financing was approved. I assigned paper work citing a specific monthly repayment amount. I drove the car of the lot. 24 hours later I received a phone call telling me that my financing had NOT been approved and actually I needed to either return the car or agree to higher payment amount. As I was out of town, I was forced into accepting the higher payment amount.Desired Settlement: Desired Outcome: At this stage I just really want my license plates. We have already paid Kia to take care of this and I don't want to have to pay the same amount again at the DMV. I would love Kia to honor their agreement and sort out an extra key and fix our side mirror but based on how my husband and I have been spoken to, I have no desire to talk to any of their managers or sales representatives again so right now, I really just would love to be told how to go about getting my license plates delivered.

Business

Response:

The license plates have been processed and mailed as of the 19th of august
