I am rejecting this response because:HTC sent me a phone without the pieces needed to actually use the phoneI was missing a SIM card
tray and a SD card tray, so I cannot use the deviceWhen I called, the person on the phone said I signed a disclosure saying that I did not need a SIM cardI told her I understood that, but I was missing a SIM card tray which is part of the phoneShe said that they shredded the SIM card tray, so I received a phone with two empty holes on the sides that is unusable (See attached picture)Customer service again failed to help me at all.

The current refund is in progress and will be completed by HTC for the total amount

We are currently under going the investigation process in order to find a suitable solution for this open case

According to the device IMEI number information, the one year warranty period has been exceeded
Customer will be able to send the phone to be repaired and 50% discount will be issued on the repair process quotation

I am rejecting this response because: Part of photos As requested, attached are photos documenting the touchscreen not responding on the lock screen I can not proceed past this stage because the touchscreen does respond to my touch The same thing happens every time the phone is turned on

According to the terms and conditions of the Onsite exchange process customers need to keep accessories such as SD card, SD Tray, Sim card, Sim card tray, etcHTC has shipped the accessories with UPS tracking number *** and scheduled delivery 07/14/by end of day

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:I am not disputing whether or not the phone workedI was told on the phone with a HTC representative to send it in and it would be covered by warranty Then they sent it back and said it wasn't covered So I got rid of the phone I just want to either be reimbursed for my mailing to send it in as I would not have paid to send it in had I not been told it was covered or they can make it right by sending me a working used phone or whatever And 20% off coupon at their store is not a good will token They want $for the phone brand new where I can buy it other places brand new in the mid 200's.....Sincerely,*** *** ***

We have reviewed the Proof of Purchase provided by the customer and we have confirmed the product was purchased through a third party seller on Amazon called “*** ***”Thus, unfortunately in this case we are unable to provide warranty coverage for a product not sold by an authorized retailer and
that was manufactured on 2014/06/
Therefore, as a courtesy we can offer the customer the option to have the device repaired at our repair center, covering the shipping fees and providing him with a 50% discount on the repair costs that he would be required to pay
