and a courtesy credit for the rebate in question. Additionally, you were credited $10 total in bonuses once the submission was processed. We apologize for any inconvenience or delay, but will be unable to provide any more courtesy credit at this time. We hope you can continue to earn with Ibotta! Have a nice day!

Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your account. On 1/30/18, the user's account was locked from cashing out due to potentially tampered receipts. On 2/1/18, the user's account was permanently deactivated for submitted tampered receipts. Two pictures are included from the user's account...

of the tampered portions of the receipt. We also found that the user was sharing her receipts with her referrals. Some times, the computer system will mark a receipt as "potentially tampered" due to a crease in the receipt. Therefore, a user's account can be locked rather than deactivated, allowing our Team some time to review the receipt in question. Unfortunately, in this case, the receipts submitted by the user were intentionally tampered and our Team deactivated the account. Per our Terms of Use, Section 10.1, users may not submit purchase information that is considered one of the following: false, inaccurate, fabricated, counterfeited, tampered with, adjusted, or otherwise artificial or inauthentic for the purpose of seeking to redeem offers with Ibotta.Additionally, in Section 10.6, we state that users may not attempt to obscure the date on a receipt. For example, we do not accept submissions without any clearly legible date shown or without any date entirely. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the user's cooperation and understanding. Thank you.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Ibotta did respond to my email as well, they reactivated both accounts that I asked. I appreciate the Revdex.com's help with this matter. I do feel without it, I would not have gotten the resolution I was hoping for. Ibotta is being really awesome now and have really looked into my situation and fixed my problem. Thank you Ibotta!!Sincerely,

Hello,  Thank you for writing back in. It appears there was a small glitch in our system that put your account in an inactive state. We truly apologize for the inconvenience. We have now reactivated your account associated with [redacted]. Thank you for your patience and for supporting Ibotta, have a great day!

Hello [redacted], Thank you for the concern regarding your account. We have completed the review of your account and based on our review, we have chosen to keep your account deactivated. We verified that receipts submitted to us, through your account, were redeemed for rebate credit then the items...

were returned after receiving cash credit from Ibotta. Per Ibotta's Terms of Use, Section 10.2, users may not redeem, or attempt to redeem, Ibotta offers for products that have not actually been purchased and retained, or for products that have been purchased but returned to a store or online vendor, following purchase. Regardless of the intentions, such actions violate our Terms of Use and provide clear evidence for Ibotta to terminate a user’s account, reverse or correct user rewards balances, or take other actions as appropriate. Your total earnings have been drastically reduced after we found that the majority of items (that received a rebate from our company) were returned.Due to the nature of our business, we reserve the right to suspend accounts either temporarily or permanently if users violate any section of our Terms of Use. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Hello, Thank you for the concern regarding your account. Unfortunately, the two examples shared are not the only instance of the user folding, editing, or tampering receipts.Since April 2017, the user has submitted 14 receipts that have been edited in some form or way. It is apparent to Ibotta that the user is attempting to earn rebates for items that have not actually been purchased or purchased for the correct date and time. Unfortunately, we will be keeping this user's account deactivated. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

I can login with [redacted], however the balance of $22.97 is removed.  As I said in the previous email, it took me half an year to accumulate that balance.  You track my shopping behavior, and now you remove all the earnings I deserve.  I don't like to deal with dishonest business, and I will not use your App in the future unless you return me the balance.  If you can't give me the balance back, please deactivate all my accounts, I will not use it in the future.
Sincerely,

Hello, Thanks for the concern regarding your account. It appears that there is some confusion regarding the number that was linked to the user's account. In this situation, the user already had a number linked to her account that she did not remember linking to her account. This is not an...

instance of a user having their number linked to a different account. On 4/3/18, the user attempted to withdraw funds and wrote our Care Team. The user linked a number to her account on 1/9/2016 and could not remember what number she linked to her account. Our Team was able to provide the date the number was linked and the phone number provider ([redacted]) on 3/4/2018 to which the user provided a landline that the she uses. This was the number linked to the account and our team removed the number the same day. The user continued to have trouble linking her [redacted] number and linked another [redacted] landline and was able to withdraw her earnings. Ibotta highly recommends that the user write this number down or make a note so that this does not happen in the future. Thanks and have a great day!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It seems as though this wrote to us referring to a sign up bonus, in which they did not receive.
The advertisement for the bonus did not state that certain rebates were not eligible for the bonus, which the user verified.
We have a gone ahead and...
