This is unsatisfactory. Hiding a fee in a license agreement is an underhanded business practice because most people are not lawyers and can not understand all of the language of such documents. This company is trying to be misleading intentionally and should be held accountable. When they say a day free trial it should be a day free trial. NO HIDDEN FEES!!! They are falsely advertising and that is illegal

By showing this minute level of detail immediately above the "...10+ CRIMINAL RECORDS ASSOCIATED.." banner, Instant Checkmate is very clearly implying all 10+ CRIMINAL RECORDS are associated with a person with MY NAME, MY AGE, lives in MY TOWN, MY STATE, and related to MY WIFE. The unethical technique of showing specific details about me with a slanderous banner and then follow it with very unspecific reports that have nothing to do with me in my state is slanderous and clearly constitutes defamation of character. None of these reports have anything to do with Oregon even though the previous banned clearly states "...IN OR".
Instant Checkmate is using additional unethical techniques to defame my character as evidenced by the verbiage used another banner at the top of the page, "WARNING: This background report may be graphicWe do not sensor our reportsThe content of this report might surprise you, so please prepare yourself for the unexpected". I believe their intent to sensationalize totally unrelated data for the specific purpose to enhance their sales. Then they hide behind a totally unenforceable disclaimer that can only be enforced by the honor system. What business or individual is ever going to voluntarily tell those that are harmed that they violated the disclaimer?
This is clearly slander and defamation of character and I have to consider the this website (they claim to be #in the industry) as a possible cause for only being invited to interviews in the four years after I was laid off while applying for 1000+ jobs

Then, the report actually gives you a dashboard, that says - there is information to be seen for this category, but if you want to see the actual data, you have to pay more
I called the company and was told that if I wanted to see the actual data, I had to pay an additional $on top of the $I already paid
Feel as though the company misrepresents itself And, I was dumb enough to pay the money, but learned a lesson for sure
My experience with the company product was bad, but I have to say the customer service was excellent They refunded my money/credited my account Too bad the individuals have to deal with such a poor product/service

Like they say, " Instant Checkmate does not make any representation or warranty about the accuracy of the information available through our website or about the character or integrity of the person about whom you inquire." What they don't say is that when they extract the data from their own databases after collecting the data from public sources, their algorithms are extremely bad and matches are made to addresses, aliases, businesses, LinkedIn accounts, and many more things that are totally wrong and could never have happened because some items listed occurred after the person being searched was dead! And their only recourse is to allow you to cancel the automatic billing Forget this site - they are no good! I searched people including myself and they were wrong on all of them

This website is full of extra acharges to get additional information and does not provide the kind of information I was expecting to get You could easily place more than $on your card just to get ancillary information about your own family I only looked up a few things about myself and a few things about my daughter and son in law Nothing there that I didn't already know and a lot of things that were about other people with similar names that I couldn't have cared less about Most of my information was about some guy with the same name in NJ who got arrested in I immediately logged off and called customer services to get my money back The best that I could do was negotiate 1/of the charges to my card, leaving me with a $adventure on the website of probably minutes Lesson learned I should have gotten all of my money back, but the CSR could only give me half of it back
