Unfortunately, there are many things about this complaint. Nobody at our firm ever guarantees that we "could significantly reduce the amount owed". The complaint also mentions removing taxes older than yearsthe problem here is the client filed the tax returns for years
2003-late, so the debt will not expire until years after the IRS processed them. At no time ever was there any mention of myself being a tax attorney. We have Tax Attorney's, Enrolled Agents and CPA's that work on every clients case, but that is not myself. Here is a copy of the exact correspondence between myself and Mr*** on 5/18/16, before he became a client
"Client has contacted multiple companies that quoted him $3k to $4k claiming they can resolve the entire tax amount. I explained that they can't guarantee that. There is no way to truly know what the IRS is going to do. I also explained that since he has over $100k in a pension that would disqualify him for an OIC. He says nobody has ever even asked him about assets. He appreciated my honesty. He asked me what he could expect and I told him the following:1. We will make sure your rights are protected2. We will do a financial analysis to determine their ability to pay3. We will do our very best to get the most reasonable IA. The IRS wants him to pay $1k/mo4. We will submit for PA"
Our firm was doing exactly what was promised above for Mr***. The client stopped working with us when he heard that the year statute of limitations on his 2003-tax returns won't expire until and before our firm could finish setting up the Installment Agreement, which would then allow us to do a Penalty Abatement which could have resulted in a reduction of $8,561. This was emailed to the client on 8/16, but client still wanted to cancel his case
The client also didn't disclose to us other assets and income which made this case harder and more time consuming to handle. The client also admitted that he spoke with "several companies and possibly got the words mixed up between each company". We only received $1,of our fee and were just about to finalize the case with the IRS which could have saved this client much more than his total fee. We have done the majority of the work for this case and have agreed to cancel the remaining balance owed to us, which per our signed contract, would not have to. We believe this is fair, and there will be no further refund

make most clients extremely happy. We have contacted the client to try and resolve this issue, but unfortunately the client was unwilling to compromise and wanted a refund of $1,700. This is extremely unreasonable considering all of the time and work put in for this client's case This is a rare circumstance for our firm, as 99.9% of our clients are overwhelmingly happy after working with us, as you can see by the other client reviews here on the Revdex.com

This clients complaint is completely unfounded and has only occurred  because he is now divorced.  The client had his wife (at the time) contact our firm and resolve his tax issue.  She was easy to talk too and work with.  The problem was, his situation was extremely complicated...

and she was having a very hard time gathering the necessary information needed to resolve the case.  We had mentioned to her several times that we would need to put the case on hold or even cancel the case if she couldn't supply us with the necessary information.  She just kept telling us that she would get it to us.Now, 2yrs later the client had his secretary call and demand a refund.  When we finally had a chance to contact the client he admitted several things.  One, he didn't have the time nor did he want to deal with this so he had his wife handle it.  Two, he admitted that he didn't read the contract.  He just signed what she put in front of him.  Three, he never took the time to call us or talk to us because he wanted his wife to handle it.The client made a few accusations that are unfounded: 1.  He says he never received any emails.  That is because his wife was using her email because she was the contact and the one handling it for him. 2.  He says we never supplied him with a detailed history of his case.  I did supply that to him on September 22, 2015.  I clearly stated that our business is a Service and service is based on time spent.  We have  spent a tremendous amount of time preparing and processing paperwork, granting and extending holds with the  IRS along with phone calls and emails.On the phone, the client admitted that he is now no longer married.  He admitted he should have been more involved from the beginning.

I had a very positive experience with ITS and I would recommend them to everyone.

From beginning to end the process was very thorough, I came to ITS reluctantly and defensive, as I was a client in the Tax-Master scandal.

I informed Eric Joseph that I had paid Tax-Masters and received partial service then they filed chapter 13. I started this process in 2007 I was told to wait and 4 years later I get a chapter 13 notice. I told Eric I am not blaming your firm for what another firm did, but I am highly skeptical.

Well, Eric assured me that I would be taken care of and connected me with Richard Haugen. It was smooth sailing from there; I had 6 years’ worth of back taxes had gotten married. Richard was able to get me the maximum amount on my tax returns. I compared a couple of tax returns with the Tax-Master returns I did receive and there was no comparison.

Richard did an excellent job in itemizing and finding all the deductions, so the Gov’t owed me and it was fast.

Now I can relax.

I had a very positive experience. Company was very professional, helpful and prompt in allying any fears I had. They went above and beyond to work with me on a payment schedule to pay for their services. It was expensive but I was given as much time as I needed to pay it off. I really appreciated that. I had issues staying up with agreement they arranged and they helped me get it back on track before it went to collections. Overall, had great experience with all staff from attorneys to admin and persons handling billing.

I have had a very successful experience with Instant Tax Solutions. They have accomplished everything they stated they could do when I first interviewed them to help me with my old IRS tax bill. I had a specific rep. through out the process and felt that he got to know my situation first hand. I am please with the service and integrity they have shown.

I called a couple of companies that offers help on tax bills. All but instant tax solutions made me feel like they were on sales commissions as I later found out they were. Instant Tax answers the phone! They do what they say they are going to do! They follow up and call back! They made me feel like they were the ones to help me that I could trust! Never did I feel like I was dealing with anyone that not was trying to the right thing for me. They created a plan to clean up 2 years of taxes owed and start fresh paying on time to have a clean start after cleaning up 2013-2014 years. I recently got hit with a big tax bill and was completely lost with what to do after finding instant tax solutions I gave them a call after getting the consultation I immediately felt better. I know that being in arrears with the IRS creates a mixture of unwanted feelings ... stress, fear, shame ... and the wish that if you just ignored them they would go away. That not being the best course of action to take I instead suggest you contact Instant Tax Solutions. I actually found them through the Revdex.com and if you are reading this I suspect you are using the Revdex.com as a resource to find help in a time ot trouble. From the moment you contact ITS they make you feel a different mixture of feelings ... relief, hope, and trust.
