Review: This company does not accurately represent and follow through on their ability to help people with the services they advertise. My husband, and by extension I, owe a large sum of money to the IRS. We both spoke at length with a consultant from this company regarding their ability to lower our tax debt and reach a settlement with the IRS on our behalf. I was concerned about their ability to do this because we are self-employed. We were assured that this would not be an issue in their ability to negotiate on our behalf. I was concerned about the money they were charging for their services, almost $4000. I expressed that I would like a guarantee that they would save us at least that much via a settlement plan or payment plan with waived penalties/finance charges. I was assured that they would not take our case if they were not confident that we would save more than we were spending on their services. I was also directed to their 30 day money back guarantee, which is absolutely worthless in reality because no negotiations with the IRS can be conducted in less than 30 days, so there is no way to tell before that guarantee expires if your case will be successful or not. Not only did this company not reach a settlement for us, but the payment plan they put us on was virtually the same as the one we worked out with the IRS previously on our own for free. When we asked them to work out an offer in compromise instead, they asked us for an additional $1500, even though we've received nothing for the several thousand dollars we've already given them. I expect them to either give us a refund in full due to services not rendered as discussed OR work out a reasonable and acceptable to us offer in compromise on our behalf for no additional fees on top of what we've already paid them. I also feel it is inappropriate for them to advertise themselves as a Christian company in an effort to instill confidence in their potential clients of their business practices, when they do not practice their business ethically.Desired Settlement: Either they work out an offer in compromise with the IRS that is acceptable to us, for no additional fees on top of what we have already paid them, as they told us they could do when we hired and paid them. Or they give us a full refund for services not rendered.

This is a client from 2011 that has never complained to Instant Tax Solutions once about what we did for them. There has been no attempt from the client at any time to contact Instant Tax Solutions about being unhappy. Instant Tax Solutions was contracted to complete 2011 taxes, set up a new Installment Agreement as the client had defaulted on their previous Installment Agreement, and submit a Penalty Abatement request. Attached is the client agreement that was executed in November of 2011 and completed by May of 2012. The client mentions ITS not doing an Offer In Compromise, but nowhere on the signed client agreement was an Offer in Compromise contracted for. Instant Tax Solutions takes great pride in resolving any issue with a client, but there has never been an issue brought to our attention until now, 2 years after becoming a client.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9762008, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

We were told that we would be put on a payment plan that we could afford and that this company would pursue getting penalties and interest waived by the IRS. They did not do that. Our payments did include penalties and interest. When we could not afford the monthly payments my husband sought a better solution from the company. He asked if they could renegotiate a lower payment, or preferably a settlement. He initially contacted them via email (which I will paste below) and then followed up by phone. During the telephone conversation the company asked for more money, over an additional thousand dollars, to pursue a settlement we could afford. We had already given them several thousand dollars and received no services from them that met our needs. We did not get an affordable payment plan or settlement, and they did not reduce our liability by getting the penalties and interest waived, as they indicated they would.

The email below is the point on the phone where they asked for more money and wanted me to fill out this form.

We started working with Instant Tax Solutions in November 2013 and have had excellent results. We we're remiss in filing for several years and had a mess on our hands. They filled our taxes and worked with us and IRS for over a year now. These are good people who I believe are trustworthy. Although we were paying the IRS as they indicated we should some of our accounts were seized on a Saturday morning. I called Instant Tax Solutions and the owner called me back in the middle of his child's Birthday party. By noon on The following Monday [redacted] our account manager had our funds returned to our accounts.

I believe this company to be the best in their business. They are dependable, knowledgeable, ethical, and extremely competent. I have had prior experience with the IRS so I know the IRS and its methods well. I also researched more than 6 leading companies in the industry before selecting Instant Tax Solutions. The IRS operates primarily on fear. Many tax resolution companies leverage that fear instead of abating it with their clients. This was not the case with Instant Tax Solutions. They proved to be effective in all phases of the process. First, they moved quickly to stifle the IRS's punitive actions, Next,they took the time and effort to fully understand my situations, which was extremely complex, thereby providing excellent guidance. Next they worked collaboratively with me to complete all of the required filings (more than 10 years worth). Finally, and most importantly, they aggressively pursued the IRS for more than a year in order to have the resolution completed to my satisfaction. The resolution quantitatively was a success. The original IRS claim against me was in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. They ended up sending me checks for nearly $20,000. More important was the confidence and piece of mind my wife and I felt throughout the process. I never once had to talk with the IRS directly. Lastly, Instant Tax Solutions did all of this at a fraction of the cost I was quoted by at least two other well-known agencies. You would be wise to seriously consider this company.

I found Instant Tax Solutions to be very helpful in resolving an old tax debt. They were very responsive and always answered my questions and explain things in terms I understood. I would definitely recommend ITS to anyone having tax issues.

( A welcome relief after dealing with the IRS) The first phone call they set our mind at ease. We were apprehensive about giving our cc# to them for payment over the phone BUT I'm SOOOOO glad we did. I am extremely grateful for the result of the offer in compromise to the IRS and NYS, that Instant Tax Solutions obtained for me. At first I was worried that they were not located in NY, but they made the submission of the paper work very easy.

Though the process was a bit longer than what I would have preferred, the peace of mind that I have right now was worth every second of the process; this is the only reason why, I don't give them a 10.
