Again, we did have the unit in hand and was being tested. However, I do have it on a recorded phone call that the order was cancelled by the customer because they no longer needed it- not because of any issues on our end.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

We have been in business 39 yrs. You don't make it for 39 yrs. conducting business the way Flagship One conducts business. Unfortunately I didn't dig deep enough in the reviews which are available on several different sites. In hindsight I have dug deeper in the company's reviews, and am now aware of how many previous customers have had negative and "rip off" experiences with Flagship One. I will not return the pcm before receiving a credit. There are customers who state they have waited and or are still waiting up to 6 months for a credit. Some on merchandise returned and some for merchandise never received, some damaged. The experience dealing with FlagShip One is just another experience of how businesses are out there and able to conduct their business with a high profit margin by way of the internet, yet don't have to deliver what they promise.

We do have a 1-3 business day handing/testing time before shipment. Item was delivered next day after shipment. However, the unit was returned to us with broken warranty seals. As stated on the invoice and on the item itself, no refund/store credit will be issued if these seals are broken or...

removed.

We have the recorded phone calls stating that we were not able to be sure if programming the VIN only from the 1998 into the 2001. We explained to the customer that we can program the VIN into the 2001 part that we were not sure if using this computer would work due to security incompatiblilty (the 2001 PCM has a Sentry Key Immobilizer system while the 1998 had no option for that type of immobilizer system). This was all explained to the buyer before and after the purchase. If the buyer would like, he is able to return the item for a store credit only as he is past the 30 day return period for refunds (which he admits to signing in the previous message).

Customer returned the item in with significant internal damage consistent with a spark plug/ignition coil failure common in these 2005 3.0L V6 Ford escapes as detailed in Ford's Technical Service Bulletin 10-18-10 (link for TSB...

download: [redacted]). We have the unit sent to an independent 3rd party repair facility and will be getting documentation showing that the item was damaged (possibly beyond repair) by the customer. Please see attached photos of the customer's returned/damaged unit and a known good unit to see the differences between the two. We have offered another unit at a heavily discounted price as we do not believe the customer intentionally damaged the item but this was declined by the customer. Unfortunately for most owners of the 2005 Ford Escape 3.0L V6, this is an extremely common issue that causes a high value repair. Unfortunately, I believe that the mechanic who purchased the parts and performed the repair did not do the job correctly . If the unit that we sent was sent out damaged, the unit would never have functioned correctly as the chips that control the ignition coils/spark plugs are damaged and those cylinders would not fire at all- customer has maintained in every communication that it worked perfectly for 15-25 miles and did not immediately have problems. We are unable to issue a refund because the item will not be able to be resold to another customer due to the damage, and may not even be repairable at all. Since we know of these problems, we only take these units from running vehicles WITHOUT the problems that the customer has encountered- no misfires, P035x codes, and in addition, all 2005 3.0L escape computers are opened and fully tested before being sent to customers. Please let me know if there's anything else that I can do to help.

Good morning, I would just like to correct what the customer says. We shipped out a unit after programming it to the customer's VIN and vehicle info. It was returned to us non-communicating. After explaining that there may be something wrong on the vehicle (difficult to determine as we are not...

present at the vehicle). We agreed to send a replacement after explaining to the customer that according to the warranty (the same warranty that the customer agreed was signed on this complaint), that the warranty was exhausted. As stated in the warranty, a replacement unit exhausts the warranty. Customer did send the unit back to us and we tested it onboard our tester CTS in order to determine if there was a problem with the unit. We were able to get the keys programmed to this PCM and have the engine run for an hour with no trouble codes present. Please let me know if there's anything else that we can do to help.

Buyer has requested a return through [redacted] and they are mediating the matter. Please let us know if there's anything else that I can do to help!

I will send the item back but reserve ending this until I see the refund.  I still protest the company's refund policy.  Paying to fix something that was supposed to be "GOOD" does not sound like good business to me.

The customer purchased the unit on our website here- [redacted]. The warranty clearly states that the units must be returned within 30 days from date of purchase- otherwise...

store credit will be applied. The customer declined the store credit and asked for it to be shipped back. Since the unit was purchased in February, we will not be able to refund the customer. However, the customer is welcome to send it back for store credit in accordance to the agreed to terms of purchase. If the customer would like, I can post a copy of the warranty policy signed by the customer (with all personal information blacked out, of course).

Unfortunately, there was no short in the unit. If there was, it would have failed immediately not after driving for two hours. The refund was issued minus the programming and restocking fees as agreed to at the time of purchase. If the customer would like I can post the signed agreement with...

personal data blanked out

If you would like, I can post a copy of the signed warranty that states refunds that test out fine are issued minus the fees that were taken. Again, we did extend the refund period to the customer as a courtesy.

I will not accept a partial store credit. But I wil accept another standard computer for my dodge caravan EX and not like the second replacement like a junkyard one beating up and for a $187.00-dollars it's have to be in good standard like new with the same LiFETIME WARRANTY. So if I can see it that way. It can be acceptable at that. [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

1) I never requested a refund! And the contact with this company was initiated by me, NOT the company! Response from this company was sporatic and contradictory! On my first contact the company spokesperon stated that the company was overly busy and was running behind, BUT the item had been shipped!12 days AFTER the initial order, while their web site states orders shipped within TWO working days of the order!. I also contacted the company by e mail on their web site TWICE, no response from company and TWICE in private messages, still no response from the company! At this /that point I stopped being accomodating and insistent! The company did call my phone and inform me that they were experiencing problems with their shop equipment! And they were waiting for a tech from GM to come fix their equipment! They also stated they woud provide a full refund and shipp a repaired but non- programmed Power Control Module. That phone call occured Saturday ** of March ( a full month afterthe initial order and payment) YET, there has been no refund to my credit card, 4 days after they stated they woud refund. I'm not interested nor care about recieving  their product! In that their customer service is sporadically casual, unreliable and misleading, I have no confidence in their products! At this juncture, I have orderfed and recieved the item within 7 days from a company in South Carolina, providing the same service as this company! I simply want my money back and this company to go away! Worst company I have EVER dealt with !! Terrible!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has not been resolved In response to your answer, no it dose not equate to 85% of my refund going to programming fees , and "Labor" cost. If I purchase an item from a professional and well established business it would be in the interest of that business to satisfy the customer by exusting all means. It is economically unsustainable to subliminally force someone to sign a form  banning them from any economic fortitude. As I previously stated, in order for me to receive any sort of refund I was forced to sign a binding contract which by every account states that by signing this contract you forfeit a large portionof your funds. Even if I don't receive the rest of my money I still would like the record to show how your business and its practices are unethical and unmoral. But yes, I still want the rest of my $115

I'm sorry but this is not what happened. The customer provided a part number to us and that is what we sent and we have the recorded phone call of the customer asking for the part on the receipt. Please see the attached receipt showing a different part number than what the customer is stating on...

this complaint. We did not have the part that the customer actually needed but offered to get it for the customer if they would pay the price difference. We cannot be held responsible for an error that is not on our end.

We are concerned as...

no timeline is given nor does it reference a refund of our money. We want a refund, they can send return label and we will return the part. We will NOT close this case until our money is refunded. We have heard this song and dance before. We have no faith in this company doing anything they say.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

This company is telling a 100% lie!  The only reason I called them and purchased the unit from them was because they stated the meaning of "programmed plug and play" meant that it would circumvent the need to have a dealership work on the vehicle a cost of 600 dollars for the security system issues replacement of a pcm creates.  In addition, their refund policy is embedded into a warranty that was not available as required by law before the sale (Federal Magnuson Moss Warranty Law of 1975) whereas the warranty if offered must be available for viewing by consumers before purchases if they offer one.  In addition, this company violates Federal Warranty Law again in that they place an undue burden on the consumer of offering the WARRANTY I received after the purchase by requiring the consumer pay an unrealistic amount of money as a penalty for programming the were never allowed by law to perform - to obtain a refund (and 85 dollar charge).  This fee for a service they did not perform is in addition to the re-stocking fee which makes returning the item (that does not solve the problem they stated it would) - ridiculous a win, win for them - because they will sell it again after returning a fraction of the cost I paid to me.  If I were lucky I might receive back 40 dollars for a non functional unit they deceived me about (what it could do) that cost 187 approx. dollars.  Allowing them to get away with this is WRONG!
