I am rejecting this response because:
I submitted a complaint in February, 2015 regarding a refund on the cost of the Tax Prep by Jackson Hewett. The ID[redacted] was acknowledge and the issue was to be resolved. To date, I have not received any refund and I placed a call to the area manager, Brian, on 04/22-04/23/2015 with no return call.TranslateDesired Settlement / OutcomeDesired Settlement:selectDesired Outcome:The refund agreed upon was for $160.00.This is what it will take to settle this complaint.

Response from office manager: Client came in to complete his renters/homeowners rebate form (a form we don't charge at all for) and our computer systems in the store were all down. While he was there we were actively working with support to get them back up and moving so we could help him. He left...

angry (I was in store and part of the interaction) that we couldn't immediately help him. Being that there is no fee or charge attached to the form we were doing, I'm unsure of what fees we can reimburse him for having them done at H&R or in what other way we can help him. Thank you,Jackson Hewitt Tax Service

It says that Jackson Hewitt will get ahold of the local manager, that's who I keep dealing with and she's the one that I'm making the complaint about. I called the corporate office two times and they keep sending it back to her. The last time I spoke with her she said that she didn't know why I keep trying to file a complaint because it's not going to matter it will keep coming to her and she is not going to do anything about it.  I have talked with her many times and she is rude and will not do anything, I would think that there is somebody above her to deal with.  I just think that someone's should be held accountable for their job and I don't think it's right that I have to pay $425 for somebody's mistake, especially when the first girl that I talked to have me a fax number and all the information to provide in order to be reimbursed.

I accept the gift card.  I tried to call the phone number left in the voice mail I received today 8553003512 but the agent I spoke to could not find a case to assist me with getting the gift card.

I am rejecting this response because:I called the number Emily left on the same day at 3:59 p.m., but the phone rang continuously with no pick and eventually disconnected after multiple rings.  Contact was made with me by a Regional JH representative on Friday late afternoon / early evening.  At the time, I informed him of the meeting that the IRS had scheduled with me on Monday morning (yesterday).  The Regional rep. was very polite and committed to help with identifying someone to meet me at the first meeting with the IRS agent, but made no promises due to the late hour.  Fortunately a JH representative did join me in the first sit-down meeting with the IRS.  Unfortunately, I received a call about 30 minutes or so ago from the IRS saying that the JH representative was not current in his credentials and could no longer represent me or speak on my behalf.    So, yes, JH has reached out to me successfully and made, but has not yet fully met their obligation under the Gold Guarantee for which I paid.  I have left a message on the Regional rep's cell phone informing him of what IRS told me about the assigned JH rep being expired on his credentials and the need for a new representative.  I am awaiting follow up from that recently-left message.

[redacted] I previously spoke about reopening the case with Jackson Hewitt as I never received my refund. I sent an email to you prior but im not sure that you received it. In this time I have received notice from the state as well as irs that not only backs up my claims but also proved it was a careless error on the part of the tax preparer and as well as a signed tax return that lists the manager at the location; coincidentally the one who addresses this complaint. The tax return lists the manager as the contact point with irs and state if the return was inccorect as I paid for them to rectify any mistakes directly. They not only did not respond or assist with federal or state, they denied any wrong doing. The returns are not correct and I am just now done decoding the state return to find the error. It was entered with incorrect figures and no corresponding forms of proof attached
