Dear *** ***,In response to complaint ID# ***, *** ***, we contacted the customer as soon as we received the Revdex.com letterAt that point
she had already been in to our office on Banksville Road and she stated that she was completely satisfied with the service she receivedMs*** is a longtime client of Jackson Hewitt, so we were happy to have the opportunity to resolve the issue. In regard to the complaint with our supervisor Juanita, we have spoken with her and reinforced with her our commitment to work harder to empathize with the customer’s concern. We think that Ms*** went to her neighborhood office without confirming an appointment, and found it closed as all of our offices are not open that early in the tax seasonIt is our goal to guide the customer to the nearest open officeIt may not always be the most convenient but it is sometimes unavoidableWe did sincerely apologize for the inconvenience to Ms***, and again, we found that she was completely satisfied. If you should have any further questions or comments, we would be glad to hear from you.
Thank You

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I feel that this time line is not correctI filed my tax return with the Lewisburg office due to they were closer to my work on the way home on February 2ndAs we were filing my taxes I asked about the T- form that was given to me by my schoolShe said oh you don't need thisThere was even other agents there that she could have verified withI asked her a second time and she said no this was not neededI said I was instructed to bring this and they used it last year she still insisted we did not need thisWe completed my taxesShe told me that they would call when my refund check was in the office
I got home later that evening and investigated more with the T-and as soon as I found some information on this tax deduction I called Jackson HewittI was informed by the agent that my tax return would be held that evening and they would correct this tomorrowI was instructed to stop in ASAP the next day to resignI did this the next day 2/3/When I stopped in Jackson Hewitt on 2/3/this tax return was already sent and I was then informed we would have to do an amended returnOf course I was not charged $amended fee because this was their errorShe did the amended return instructed me to send this in the mail when my other refund would clear
I did pick up check- and made a deposit on 2/23/my deposit to my bank was on 3/6/and due to the high number of incidents with fraud there was a day hold on thisThis was not an issue I waited the days and even longer just to make sure this cleared
I sent out my amended return and they did receive my amended return and started processing this on 3/23/It is still processing and will take up to weeks
I do understand human error in occupations but in my occupation human error could take a life of a patient if I do not know an answer I for sure ask any questions if I had themAlso where there is a human error they should be able to admit to those errors, so this is not done again
Yes I have used Jackson Hewitt for many years but this was at the Sunbury Office and this was my first time at the Lewisburg office
I have said that I would pay a $return fee but not $To me this is unacceptable when I found the errorWe go to the tax preparers to have them help us with taxes and guide us in our returnsIf I would not have looked into this it would have been missedHow many other taxes have been missed?
Regards, *** ***

I have explained what occurred when the client entered the office, and fully able to explain my position in any fourumI will not answer statements that did not occurI have responded to the matter and did what my office was paid to doI have nothing to add to my original position

satisfaction policy and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the customer has had in the filing of her tax return We had completed and transmitted to the IRS the customer’s tax return on Friday, February 20, 2015. During the interview process, the customer informed the tax preparer that she had recently married and changed her son’s last name to her married name with the Social Security Administration. The tax preparer advised the customer that it was very important to ensure the name change was finalized by the SSA or there would be a strong possibility that the return would be rejected by the SSA due to a last name/social security number mismatch. The customer insisted the name change was finalized with the SSAOn Saturday, February 21,we received notification from the IRS that the return was rejected due to her son’s name/social security number mismatch. We had tried to contact the customer the same day without avail. We again called the customer on Monday, February 23, and customer came in to the office and submitted the correct information to us for reprocessing. Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
On November 20, 2015, my vehicle with 30,documented miles driven was taken to your Valvoline station for an oil change On January 6, and February 28, 2016, the check oil light came on and oil needed to be added Since the car had been driven less than 3,miles during that time period and three quarts of oil were required, the car was taken back on March 3,to Valvoline where it was requested that an employee look at the oil to make sure there was not a problemThe employee snickered, got into the car, turned the engine on, pointed to the oil indicator gauge and said "ok, your oil's fine." At 33,miles driven, the car was then taken to the dealership for an oil consumption test because of this falsely suspected oil usageI stress, an oil change was NEVER requested by the car owner nor was it ever the intention of the dealership service team to perform an oil changeThis is also clear by looking at the included receipt from this service department which states that the intent was diagnostics for a frequent check oil light The mileage driven since the last oil change was only 2,milesAudi does not require an oil change until 7,miles!!!! I would never have my oil changed when I had driven less than 3,miles On the work receipt by the Audi dealership which I have forwarded along with this complaint, you will read that the dealership certified mechanics wrote "found that the oil plug was damaged and had the WRONG washer on plug causing it to leak." The service department also included photos (which I have included) of this plug and washer and the damage done to the plug when it was last put onUsing proper parts and tools would not have resulted in that damageSince your store employees were the last people to touch these components, also documented in my auto log, the shoe does fit! The $bill was for plug, oil drainage and refill necessary to change the plug, and oil pan cleanup from the leakage Be honest about what the bill was for.I was called by Shaun S*** and threatened with a slander lawsuit if I did not take down my online reviews I have every right as a consumer to share my experience in online reviewsThe $caused by Valvoline's poor workmanship is no longer a concern for me Informing others of their dishonest business practice is more important.*** ***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Thank you. I went into Jackson Hewitt because they previously completed an insolvency for meI was recovering from a mastectomy and not well at the time. I clearly stated that I wanted to file an insolvency because there were no assets and overwhelming debtHe called to and stated that because the income was so high he could not complete an insolvency and instructed me to contact the Dept of Education and request they the form and forgive the debt. He advised me that I owed over $17,because combined with my SSDI the income was extremely high and not taxed. A insolvency could not be done according to him. As I previously stated the IRS was after me for this money. As a last resort I contacted *** *** who gave clear instructionsVery simply file an insolvency and this debt would be cleared up. I contacted another tax accountant who came very highly recommended and he stated that the taxes were not completed correctly*** *** states that I did not have any paperwork for an insolvency well there was none neededJust a completed tax form. If needed I could have proven there were no assets and over $100,worth of debt if he had asked when I asked him to do the insolvency. Why would I go back to someone who did the return wrongIt is not my job to tell him the proper way to complete a return it is HIS job to know and request any documents he may feel is necessary, which he did not do. He can say anything he wants verbally bottom line HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT I QUALIFIED FOR AN INSOLVENCY AS A LICENSED TAX REPRESENTATIVE. It was a very simple process and immediately accepted by the IRS without any further question or documentation. He is very lucky I am not requesting more from him for the time and stress he caused me. I also intend to lodge a complaint with *** ***'s office and the State of New York. I do not like being taken advantage of and he did not do his job.
Sincerely,
*** *** ***
