Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC, purchased the [redacted] account and balance on $8,782.06 in August 2015. This account is for a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan and was opened in June 2009 and charged off for collections in April 2010. The opened date of August 2015 reflects the date Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC started reporting the account to the credit bureaus.
According to our records a Right to Dispute Letter was sent and Mr. [redacted] was advised of the credit reporting information when he spoke to our representatives on two separate occasions. In his communication Mr. [redacted] alleges this account was previously reported as fraud. Enclosed is a copy of the Credit Application and Simple Interest Retail Installment Contact for his review. If Mr. [redacted] maintains that this account is fraudulent, please advise him to complete and return the enclosed ID Theft Affirmation form and we will further investigate his concerns.
The Statute of Limitations does not absolve a debtor from payment of a debt. It does, however, provide for limitations during which a creditor or debt collector may commence legal action for payment of a debt. Pursuant to his dispute, we have requested the credit bureaus delete our trade line from his credit file. This letter confirms this account will not be sold or transferred.

Dear Mr. [redacted]: We acknowledge receipt of your correspondence sent on behalf of Ms. [redacted] concerning her above-referenced account. After review of Ms. [redacted]’s collection file, including correspondence and account statements, Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC (“Jefferson”) acted lawfully and appropriately in the collection of her past due account.  Ms. [redacted] was served with a Summons and Complaint for this matter on September 11, 2013 for Weld County Case Number [redacted]. On or about September 12, 2013, Ms. [redacted] executed a Non-Judgment Stipulation agreement to pay $14,450.00 to resolve this account.  On or about August 24, 2015, Ms. [redacted] defaulted on this agreement by failing to make the monthly payment as promised. Subsequently, per the terms of the Non Judgment Stipulation, a judgment was entered with the court on February 25, 2016 for the remaining balance owed of $3,702.55.  A writ of garnishment was lawfully requested and issued by the court on March 24, 2016. The [redacted] account was opened in June 2010 and charged off in January 2013. In April 2015, Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC, purchased the account with a balance of $304.88. The Right to Dispute letter was sent to Ms. [redacted] on June 23rd. Ms. [redacted] states in her communication she wants the trade line removed from her credit file and would be willing to negotiate payment arrangements. It is our policy not to make any deletion of a trade line conditional upon receipt of payment. As a courtesy, however, we are notifying the bureaus to delete our trade line from Ms. [redacted]'s credit file. Her cooperation in remitting payment would be appreciated.
