Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: all the response from People's United Bank was saying they have different kinds of checking account which need to have $balance otherwise will be service fee of $ This information is understood, and I respect their business As to my case, I was old [redacted] with reward checking account type, for some reason when it acquired by People's United Bank while ago, somehow it has been converted to a wrong typeI know it because my wife ( [redacted] ***) has a similar account --- reward checking account with [redacted] too, and it has been staying as it is with balance of $for years without any feeSo that is why I open this complaintWhy my account has been converted to a checking account with minimum checking requirement without any permission from me, otherwise I would close it before it got converted I still think all my service fee should be refund to me Thanks Sincerely, [redacted] ***

I am rejecting this response because:
I did go to the local branch on Chase Avenue Waterbury, CT The Teller could not understand it and stated the money was there but funds were on hold She then contacted the Supervisor *** in Bridegport, CT who told her the charges were there because other transaction were held She still could not tell me why and became frustrated and impatient refusing to try to discuss the matter further Prior to that the other Teller who originally opened the account in November and closed the previous account stated that I did not opt out I told her I wanted the same type of account She pulled out paper stating I signed not to opt out and told me I just opted out She too became impatient and totaled all transactioons up and saw that due to the charges (7times) is what caused the over drafts and could not explain why the hold up I attend that location all the time and they know me In fact, one of them called me personally and iformed me asking whats going on with your account? I would never do anythng like that and haven't for this to all of them is unusual As I stated had I known about the 2nd, 34rd, 4th, 5th, 6st and 7th over draft fees why would I continue to use atm card knowing I'm beeing charged they are paying transatcions: 10.00, 9.52, 25.00, etcand getting charged each timeRidiculously ignorant Furthermore, I was aware of the first one of and tried to get that back by calling ###-###-####, the representative which I forgot her name refused to reimburst and told me that she opt me up so from then on should something come through and funds are not there it will be sent back I said oK The very next day after that conversation there were two more then the next day after more I requested to speak to *** the supervisor or reimburst me for of the negotiating my earnings I refuse and said I want them all backI don't have money to give or throw away I have direct deposit and the money was there on Thursday regardless of the charges they had on hold and can't tell why So I requeset ***'s Supervisor; *** who told me he would reimburse all if he can find the recorded conversation Came back on the phone and told me if I didn't have the representative name they can't reimburse me I ask for his manager and transfered me to his voicemail I asked for a call to be returnedNo one returned the call I asked for a Manager to call me at local branch no one called
So, if they take it seriously, how come I still have not received a call They still owe me for the out of the the took and repaid I will be responsible for the first oneI made that transaction at nigh because the following day I had the pay direct deposited assumed it will be on time Peoples bank owes me for time totaling and I want my money backThis has caused my insurance to elapse for I didn't have enough to pay my bills If they look at it serioulsy they and anyone can tell obviously I wouldnt make transactions that I don't have money for Last of all, I've alwayse been opt outMoney not there deny it Why would I want to pay them for a cent transaction and so forth all times Peoples bank give me my money bank stop treating your customers like strangers for I had and account with Peoples for many many yearsMay I please have my money back I need it

It is beyond my comprehension that no one thought to call meAre all of your consumers this meaningless? So, we have until 5pm today to have an approval letter, or someone else gets our homeAdditionally, our landlord has placed our home up for sale, so we are soon to be without a place to live.
Again, gross inability to assess my creditworthiness has pretty much ruined my family right nowDisgusted over your lack of regard or acknowledgement Never have I been treated with such a lack of courtesy
