I did not see any People United Bank responses but I was contacted by a representative from the bank who ensured the my son's account has been restored in addition to my checking accountThere was an agreement to close the Plus Savings, yet the branch did contact me after my complaint in reference to my need to visit for a signature card issueI still feel the bank has irresponsible and unprofessional staffI strongly offer the suggestion to upgrade their customer service inquiry system in addition to re-training their staffIt is so ridiculousI am in need of another savings account for another child and will NOT be using this bank to assist with my future savings transactions.:

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that the explanation is satisfactory to me temporarily due to the ongoing battle between consumers and banks regarding overdraft fees.  I received a letter from Denise B[redacted], director of the Bridgeport Call Center.  The letter did not address my concern regarding the multiple fees created from a fee, and how the debit card transactions were processed to maximize fees in the interest of the bank.  I've learned since my last communication, they still have the right to do so, although US Rep. [redacted] has been working on a bill to cap the quantity of fees and unreasonable fee costs, as well as prohibiting banks from post-order manipulation.  Congress and [redacted], director of the Washington, D.C., office of the Center for Responsible Living are aware of the abuse and unfair practices therefore, I intend to take my concerns to them ultimately.  Meanwhile I am working on securing a job so that I don’t run into anymore crisis situations financially.  I thank you for your support.

I feel the additional two overdraft charges are predatory expenses.  I would like to know if you can investigate this matter for me and let me know if my consumer rights are being violated.  
The letters I received from People's Bank were standard overdraft letters that did not address my inquiry.

I am rejecting this response because:
To say that by law it is in the agreement you signed when you opened the account. Is all well and good. From a customer service stand point to have the account holder acknowledge a change that may possibly cause service charges that were no part of account when originally opened because of the same exact practice from the bank they left to come to peoples is nauseating. for a bank to even claim that some client is going to read every piece of advertising mail they send out is ridiculous and an important piece of change to an account should justify at least a separate clearly marked urgent stamped mailing. not just thrown in with all the other advertisements with your monthly statement. If this is not a standard practice it should be. It seems to me that the banks practice is just baiting for fees to get incurred by non suspecting clients. I believe these bank practices are just legal criminal activity against consumers.

Dear Revdex.com,  Thank you for assisting me in this matter.  People's United Bank sent me two letters on March 11th stating that they were going to look into the matter.There is no resolution of the complaint at this point, but I am glad that they responded.  Please continue to keep this case open until the issue hasbeen resolved.  It might just save another bank customer from going through the difficulties I had to go through.  Again, thank you very much.Sincerely,[redacted]
