Review: I was working with J.G. Wentworth for them to buy out an annuity from an insurance carrier. We filled out pages of documentation, had 2 different notaries come to the house and did everything we were told to do by **. [redacted]. [redacted] told us that we needed to contact a local attorney to handle the routine court proceeding to finalize the transaction and J.G. Wentworth would reimburse us the $250 fee. We acted in good faith in this matter, then [redacted] told us that suddenly, his legal department said that they could not proceed with this buyout and he "guaranteed" that they ( J.G. Wentworth ) would send us a check for the $250 reimbursement. He had told us that the deal would go through and it was just a matter of time before we got the buyout money. After numerous calls by us to [redacted] and his boss, [redacted], [redacted] told us that it was the insurance carrier who would not follow through with the deal. In our eyes J.G. Wentworth failed to do their due diligence prior to telling us to secure an attorney and now we are out of $250. Very unprofessional organization. I would not trust them with any transaction in the future.[redacted]Desired Settlement: I feel we deserve that we deserve our $250 refunded sine were followed all the directions that we were given by [redacted] at J.G. Wentworth.

Response:

I’d like to first apologize to [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused her. We can only purchase worker's compensation payments in rare circumstances. The problem is we do not always know if our customer has worker's compensation payments or payments derived from a personal injury settlement. Sometimes this is because we don't have all of the paperwork and sometimes even when we have all of the paperwork it is not clear if the structured settlement annuity payments were as a result of worker's compensation or personal injury.

Review: Since I started talking to [redacted] at j g Wentworth she has repeatedly told me that id get my advance and yet it hasn't happened yet. After you sign the papers, after it goes through underwriting, after we get the court date set, im trying it has to be okd first but im trying.she has said these things and yet nothing yet.failure to provide the advance.Desired Settlement: I would like something that could make up for the amount of unnecessary delay which has affected myself as well as my fiance and my daughter. My job, my finances job, my daughters schooling are being affected. Something that says im incredibly sorry for the inconveniences and hardship that this has caused.

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused **. [redacted]. We are still waiting on the Order from a previous transfer that he completed so as to clear his current proposed transfer. In addition **. [redacted] sold payments that we were trying to buy which caused us to have to re-price the contract, this caused additional delay. [redacted], our representative, did explain this to him and told him this is causing the delay in his advance. I know he wants this transaction completed as quickly as possible, all of our customers do, but we must be sure all of the paperwork is correct.

Review: This is in regard to a prior complaint against J.G. Wentworth. I have documentation showing that they agreed to stop all advertising correspondence to my address but has failed to do so. I have tried to contact the company directly but it has done no good, they say they will stop sending mailers and advertising envelopes but have continued with it anyway. This is my second complaint against this company because they are not honoring what they have said they will do.Desired Settlement: For ALL correspondence to my home to stop. This includes anything addressed to:

At the following address and any future addresses that any of the above mentioned may have:

Response:

We did respond to **. [redacted] complaint and immediately removed her name from our mailing lists. She did not supply us with the names of her children in her initial complaint. I did receive a voice message from her on September 3rd in which she complained that her children [redacted] and [redacted] were still receiving correspondence. We have eliminated their names as well.

Review: I was under the impression that I would be receiving some money after they take their portion out of my monthly check but today I was informed that they have bought all of my monthly checks. I do not remember selling nor would I agree to selling my whole checks to them knowing this is pretty much my lively hood. I am now pretty much getting the run around. They are telling me in order to get the contracts that I have signed sent to me I have to fax a letter to them stating that I am requesting these papers or send a 25 dollar fee and they will send me the papers. They sure don't have a problem sending papers when you are doing a transaction with them. I have had nothing but problems with this company. I just want the papers I've signed with my name on it. I want some kind of explanation!Desired Settlement: For my problem to be resolved

Business

Response:

I apologize for not responding sooner. Your request was received in our office on August 9th a day that I was out attending a wedding. I did forward the complaint to our customer service department that day and ask that they order her files. All of our files are kept offsite and must be mailed to us upon request. This can take up to 2 weeks. I neglected to reply when I got back on Monday. I did follow up with customer service today (August 20th) and we have not received the files yet and we making an inquiry as to how long it may be till they are delivered.

Review: My brother sold his structured settlement to Jgwentworth on more than one occasion. I cashed his checks for him because he did not have a bank account. I did this numerous times without

ant trouble. On July 31, 2013 I cashed one the same as I always do, him signing it over to me and me depositing it into my account. I gave him the money the next day. On that following Monday

the funds were removed from my account. Their checks are drawn from [redacted] so I went there. They told me that they had tried to reach the checks originator to get apporval to release the funds back, but got no

response. So I called Jgwentworth myself. Now lets be understood, my bank account is about $3000.00 in the negative, all my bills are bouncing, and my paycheck gets deposited only to be

used against the negative balance. I called Jgwentworth and was told by a gentleman in customer service that he would call [redacted] bank and take care of it and call me back to let me know what was going on. This is 11:30 am.

I never heard nothing that day, I called and left him three messages, the next day, nothing, I left numerous voicemails. I finally did reach him, and he told me he was busy, and many people didnt get calls back yesterday or today.

I still have no resolution, my account is bouncing bills left and right. This is crazy....I am sure if it was their personal account, they would have came to a resolution already. Very poor customer service,

zero empathy, lack of urgency, etc....Desired Settlement: I want this matter resolved...This is rediculous. I have no money to even buy my groceries or gas this week, and then when they do decide to give it

back, who's going to pay all my late fees on my bills???? My overdraft fees????? I'm just curious because they are mounting up pretty high by the hour.....

Response:

**. [redacted] cashed her brother’s checks and the bank made the funds available to her initially, then reversed the deposit. Our Customer Service Department and our Accounting Department have been trying to work with her, [redacted] corporate office and her local [redacted]. The rep at the local [redacted] just called us and requested to speak to someone in accounting department. Accounting is now speaking to the local [redacted]. We are on top of this and hope to have a resolution soon.

Review: Jg wentworth bought my settlement of $60,000. I received $26,000 of that in 2 lump sum payments and was told I cannot have any of the remaining $34,000 + accrued interest (minus their fees) until the year 2022. I was never advised I could not have my money.Desired Settlement: I would like what is legally and rightfully entitled to me, along with a full accounting explanation.

Business

Response:

[redacted] entered into two transactions with our company.

Review: I have reported that J G Wentowrth has been late making their regular payment to monthly payments to me on several occasions. The last time I complained about them, they stated that they would now start to make the payment by the 20th of each month. It's now the 21st, the Payment was not made on time and I have bills that are supposed to be paid. This company has not kept their word! They are still refusing to pay for the damages that their actions caused, when I had budgeted out the funds according to the date the money is to be paid. This company needs to comply with the Attorney's request now and start to pay the amount that they have been told to pay. If they are negelnt one more time, I will bring on a suit to be filed against them for their negelgence. Pay the amount NOW!!!!!Desired Settlement: They have been in contact with my attorney. The Attorney has told them what they need to do. It is time they comply and they do it now! Pay the amount and start complying with the demands of paying the funds on time.

Business

Response:

**. [redacted]'s check, as stated numerous times before, is due on the 20th of each month. This month the 20th fell on a Sunday. The funds were wired to his account on the 21st the next banking day. Even if **. [redacted] were still receiving his funds directly from the insurance company the 21st would have been the first day that the funds would have been available to him.

Review: Received a 25.00 check called company for ok to cash on 4/29. Called again on5/3 to make sure. Company said ok to cash. When I deposited it in my account bank returned marked return to maker. My bank then charged me $10.00. I called and sent a letter and called again. Accounting will not refund the bank charge or the $25.00.Desired Settlement: Want the $25.00 and the $10.00 bank fee.

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused. We will be sending out a $35 check, please allow 7 to 14 business days for the check to arrive.

Regards,

Review: Approx. 7-8 months ago I contacted J.G. Wentworth regarding an annuity that I have that is due to cash in on August 1, 2015. I spoke to [redacted] regarding several options. After explaining them to me I told him I would give some though to them and within a few days he should call me back to see if I was interested. After much thought over a few day period, I decided that I did not want to cash in my annuity early and decided to wait for it to mature on August 1, 2015. For the next 7-8 months (almost on a daily basis) I have been getting very aggressive phone calls from J.G. Wentworth pressuring me to reconsider my options. After repeatedly saying NO, I'm not interested, they still continue to constantly call me with offers and questions as to why I changed my mind. They call me from all sorts of different numbers to disguise the company so that I won't know who it is if I look at the caller ID. Within the last few months, they've started calling my house ad letting the phone ring twice and then hanging up. When I call the number back I find out that it's someone from their company. I feel that even though they know I do not want to use their service, they continue to call and I feel that is a form of harassment. I don't know if I have directed this complaint to the proper office, but any direction or assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Review: JG Wentworth ph no. [redacted]

I have Asked this company numerous times after the last 10 calls not to call again. They have called e very 2-3 weeks constantly even tho I asked not to be called again. I am sick of this!Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

Have them stop calling me

Business

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused [redacted], her name has been placed on our do not call list. If for any reason she is not happy with our actions she can call me directly at [redacted].

Review: When it is time for the consumer to do something the phone rings a lot because they make it sound super urgent. But when it's time for the company to do anything you somehow can't get two people to agree with the status of the process. The blame game begins and always ends with a department the consumer somehow can't reach. Or the next person is always away from their desk and never returns phone calls.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to pay the late fees for the time after the promises of their delivery.

Review: sold part of my anniuity to them... Had a big issue getting the start of my payments from them.. The first month they took over my payments they did not issue me my money it took 4 weeks and daily phone calls to the CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT to a man names [redacted], with a bunch of run-around answers to finally get my payments started. then I was given the line " as a curtosy to you we will put a reminder note in our computer to REMIND us to give you your payment... REALLY.... Well, it worked for the next couple of months I was receiving the payments ( even a few days early). Then low and behold this month ( July 2013) my due date came and no payment was given. When I called ( and yes I was upset and it showed in my phone call) I was told on the first call that it was being handled then got hung up on. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE J G WENTWORTH..... Had to call back a senond time and [redacted] got right on the line with no other excuse but our money is due on the 15th , well it is the 15th and I do not have my money so not the best answer. iF I DID NOT CALL TODAY MY MONEY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN PUT INTO MY ACCOUNT TILL THE 16TH.

I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO CALL TO GET MY MONEY.

This company is a fraud and their sales department kisses the ground you walk on to get you in the door then it just gets slammed in your face once you signed the papers and they are in controll of your money.

HOW ABOUT SOME OF THOSE CASH OFFERS YOU GIVE OUT INTHE BEGINING TO GET US TO LIKE YOU FOR ALL OF MY INCONVENIENCES MY WASTED PHONE CALLS , TIME & STRESS IVE HAD TO DEAL WITH IN GETTING MY MONTHY PAYMENTS FROM YOUR COMPANY??Desired Settlement: HOW ABOUT SOME OF THOSE CASH OFFERS YOU GIVE OUT IN THE BEGINING TO GET US TO LIKE YOU FOR ALL OF MY INCONVENIENCES MY WASTED PHONE CALLS , TIME & STRESS IVE HAD TO DEAL WITH IN GETTING MY MONTHY PAYMENTS FROM YOUR COMPANY????

Review: JG Wentworth is harassing myself and my children with constant phone calls and mail propoganda. I have REPEATEDLY called and asked them to discontinue mailing us requests for business...they say that they will but the mailers and "checks" trying to get our business continue. This is harassment!Desired Settlement: For all mailngs and phone calls to stop as I do not want JG Wentworth to contact us EVER again!!!

I’d like to apologize to **. [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused. Her contact information has been removed from our system she should not receive any more phone calls or mail. If she has any question or problems in the future she can contact me at my direct line below

Review: J.G Wenthworth has continued to contact all of my family members disclosing private information to them about a prior settlement with the company. I have reached out to the company several times to close my file and not to send any information to any address on file or phone numbers . I haven't provided any phone number or address to my current location cause I wish not to be disturbed by them any more I asked them a month ago to have this information removed and not to contact anyone about this matter and in the last week I have gotten phone calls from my grandmother whom I don't live with or near, and also they contacted my step father who once again I don't live with or near. I want them to stop contacting anyone and releasing private information to them and they have not done so they say they have put me on a do not call list again . I spoke with Clark who didn't want to close the file and didn't want me to speak with a manger cause he claimed he could resolve the matter but didn't, then I spoke with Howard whom claimed to be a manager and told he did put me a the do not contact list today 10/13/2014 from the office location at [redacted], PA [redacted] ###-###-####. If this harassment doesn't stop by this company I will have to take further legal actions!!Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting anyone associated with my file/case included me

Business

Response:

I have verified that we have place[redacted]’ file on Do Not Contact status; if she has any additional concerns she can contact me directly at: ###-###-####

Well, they are very nice and helpful, untill you sign on with them.
Then you can expect to get the run around, that is, when they decide to actually return your calls and emails.
Making excuse after excuse as to why they couldnt keep to their word, and why they haven't gotten you approved yet, which changes every time they have a different person start 'working' with you.
Over all you will get paid, eventually, but don't expect it when they say, and don't go through them if you desperately need money fast.
I did get a good deal for the settlement, but customer relations is very poor.

Review: J G Wentworth bought some of my annuity payments and told me my share of the remaining payments would be directly sent to me from the insurance company. Only afterward did I find out that all payments would go directly to JG Wentworth and they would direct deposit my share. However, when it comes time to make the deposit, they say they didn't receive the payment from the insurance company (which isn't true because I called the insurance company) and when I call JG Wentworth they act real nice until I tell them about the problem, then they become argumentative.Desired Settlement: To make the monthly direct deposits in an orderly time frame (as promised)

Business

Response:

I'd like to first apologize to [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused. Unfortunately some insurance companies refuse to split payments which dictate that the payments must be sent to us and we in turn send the portion we did not purchase to the customer. This will sometime cause a delay in getting the customer his portion of the funds if we do not receive the check from the insurance company in a timely fashion. The fact that the entire check may be sent to us is set forth in the contract that [redacted] signed, in paragraph 1C. I'm sorry if this was not made clear to him at the time he executed the contract.

Review: J.G. Wentworth mailed me a card saying that if I called them and let them give me a quote on purchasing my annuity payments they would give me a $25.00 gift card even if I did not sell. I called and spoke to [redacted] on 6-6-14 received a quote and told [redacted] then that I was not interested in selling my annuity. He then told me I would receive something from the marketing department by 6-13-14 about the $25.00 gift card. I received nothing so I called back on 6-17-14 and spoke to [redacted] she said give it a couple more days, so I waited, again nothing. I called back again on 6-24-14 and spoke with [redacted] again. His response to me was "I don't know when you will get it" (But yet even after I told [redacted] I was not interested in selling my payments he overnighted me a contract regarding the purchase of my annuity) Anyway I called and spoke to [redacted] the Manager, they keep blaming it on the marketing company. I am tired of excuses!!!!!!Desired Settlement: Since I called 4 times in regards to the $25.00 gift card I was promised I think I should get 4 times the gift cards. Taking into consideration this is not the first time this has happened!!!!! This is the 2nd time I have had to involve the Revdex.com, that doesn't count the times that I did not involve the Revdex.com.

Business

Response:

We apologize to [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused her. Two $50 gift cards were sent to her today via [redacted].

I processed a VA Refinance loan in March of 2015. I was very pleased with the loan processing agent. After closing the accounting process for my account has been miserable. I made an initial electronic transfer (ACH) to my loan account of $3000 in June and two more electronic transfers (ACH) of $1500 each in July. It is now mid August and my payment issues are still not resolved. Their online account access through the loanadministration.com shows none of payment credits to my loan and when you contact customer service you get nowhere. They just state some ambiguous answer they think pacifies you and that's it. Also, the loanadministration.com website has discrepancies in it that I pointed out to them (you would think their IT personnel would catch) and insinuated it was me that was wrong, and the next day it was fixed. Due to the communication, technical, and accounting issues, I would not recommend them to anyone, especially veterans.

Review: I entered into a contract about mid August 2014 with J.G. Wentworth. I was assured by the personnel prior to the aggreement & signing any forms that my best interest was at the forefront of this transaction. I was also informed that at any time, I could cancel the contract without penalty. When I decided to cancel & not go through with the contract, I was directed to speak with the manager assigned to my case, one Aaron (last name unknown). I expected to be asked why I wanted to cancel & the only reason I wanted to cancel was for my own personal reasons. I was then badgered by Aaron as to what my personal reason was. He went on to accuse me of discussing a contract with another company. As I tried to explain to him that "my personal reasons" were beyond speaking to another company, that I had not even considered going forward with this type of transaction with this or any other company, he persisted that I must have been "coached" to say this. I then revealed to Aaron that my personal reasons was spiritual, and I tried to explain how that is important to me. Aaron then offensively stated that my spiritual reasons had nothing to do with the company or transaction. Although, in his eyes, that may be true, but as an individual, I expect my wishes & my life choices to be respected. At this point, I abruptly ended the conversation asking for a cancelation and for my phone number to be removed from the database as I no longer wish to be contacted by such a company. I feel as if this conversation was unprofessional in the utmost. His tone & his disregard to my wishes as the consumer. Customer service practices was completely thrown out of the window once I declined this company's service. I do not feel I was treated with integrity or respect at all.Desired Settlement: I would like the contract to be voided and to have no further contact from J. G. Wentworth.

Review: On December 2013 I contact them to sell my annuity. It's been 8 months since I start the process. They did gave me $1,500 dollars cash advanced after 3months when they said I would have get that money and 3weeks I'm tired of waiting I change my mind, but when they give me that money they I could still change my mind if I don't want to go through with the deal.we'll. I did change my mind it's been 8 months now they calling me treating me saying I could not get out of the deal please help my annuity was $35.000 thousand they we're only gave me $20.0000 .Desired Settlement: I don't want to do they deal they are garrisoned telling me I cannot get out I want them to stop.
