Review: I was called on Sat. April 19, 2014 to perform a closing (refinance) scheduled for Monday April 21, 2014 at 9:00am.Upon accepting the assignment we agreed to the fee of $125. On Monday April 21, 2014 at (8:00am) I was about to leave for appointment when I was notified that this closing was cancelled. I sent a revised invoice showing the print fee of $25 for the closing package (which also included the borrowers copy) that I had to print out prior to the day of closing. I made 3 attempts (5/12/14, 5/19/14 and 5/23/14) to contact them. As of today's date I have yet to receive any response from them.Desired Settlement: Payment for services rendered.

I'd like to apologize to **. [redacted] for any problems or inconvenience we may have caused. Payment to **. [redacted] is sent to him upon receipt by us of the check from the insurance company. In the past if the check was late would advance the funds from our own pocket. In December we sent up the advance from our own pocket on a permanent basis going forward. The advance was set up to go out on the 29th of each month. Unfortunately we did not account for the fact that February only had 28 days. We will move the day we advance the check to a few days earlier than the 29th; this should eliminate the chance of the problem happening again.

Review: Not only was I mislead on the amount of time this transaction would take, they are not going through with a promotion they offered. I received a rewards card for 500 dollars. My account representative told me we would have to wait to activate this card. So weeks went by, even months. After being told to call back, he's not available, well let you know, since they already received my payments, they are "not obligated" to uphold this promotion. I was told an alternative payment could be issued. That didnt happen. I feel like I was given the run-around until this card or promotion had ended. I gave them 15,000 dollars and they cant honor a 500 dollar rewards card. I want to let others know that if they receive a card like this to not listen to your representative and demand it be activated. This card expires in two months and should still be redeemable. After business was completed, k wasn't treated the same. If I could I would not advise anyone to work with JG Wentworth. They lied to me.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate it if they could uphold and honor the card they issued me since it has not expired. Or issue an alternate payment. And not do this to anyone else.

We will be sending [redacted] a check for $50 and we apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused him.

Review: Ever since we completed an annuity transfer with JG Wentworth, the company has been selling or giving our details and address to smaller companies who have been harassing us via mail with their fake checks in order to lure us into doing business with them. JG Wentworth has been mailing similar offers as well. We really wanted to ignore them thinking they would stop but they just keep mailing these offers every week. It's gotten out of hand and is very inappropriate.

Most letters say CASH or something along those lines on them and some even show fake checks inside (visible through the envelope) with large amounts of money on it. One of those letters was even opened by someone before it got to us because it said "CASH INSIDE". This is very disturbing and a clear violation of privacy.

We thought Wentworth was a reputable company that HONORED their customers' privacy. We were very wrong...Desired Settlement: To stop sending us offers and MAKE OTHER COMPANIES STOP TOO BEFORE LEGAL ACTION IS TAKEN! The amount of offers we've been receiving is ridiculous considering the fact that WE NEVER ASKED FOR ANY OF IT. Thanks.

Response:

We do not sell give away any of our customer's information. To the contrary we spend a tremendous amount of money advertising so that people who have structured settlements know that we are a resource when it comes to selling their right to receive structured settlement payments. We would never sell or give that to a competitor. Whenever a person sells his structured settlement payments the process must be approved by a court. This requires a public filing in a courthouse. Our competitors hire people throughout the country to go through courthouse records to obtain information about our customers and then solicit them to sell additional payments. We would stop this if we could but most courthouses insist that this is public information and we cannot keep it confidential. Our competitors do this because it is easier and cheaper for them to obtain information on potential customers than to advertise, they let us spend the advertising money and find the customers and then try to sponge off of the customers that we find.

Response:

Wow, we didn't realize that such practice by these smaller companies took place. It makes sense now.

Please accept our apologies as we hadn't been aware of such possibility before filing this complaint.

Thank you so much for the explanation and your time. Again, we're very sorry we assumed it was your fault without contacting you first.

Best regards and have a great day!

My loan was originally written with WestStar Mortgage. They were acquired by JG Wentworth. In August, 2015 I received a letter from Wentworth indicating that my loan servicing was sold to Wells Fargo and that all further payments should be sent to them. I even called Wentworth to confirm this. So I mailed my September payment to Wells Fargo. On September 8, I noticed on my bank statement that another payment had been pulled from my account by Wentworth. I called then to get this money back or sent to Wells to cover the next payment. Since my loan has been sold, Wentworth's voice response system hangs up on me. Even their live chat is not working.

Review: Last year my wife admitted she had put us 14,000 dollars into debt, so she asked me to contact J.G. Wentworth about selling them the rights to part of a structured settlement I was awarded several years back due to life-threatening injuries I sustained in a car wreck that was not my fault. However, my wife and I decided eventually that we didn't want to go through a third party and decided to just be responsible and get out of debt ourselves. I let J.G. Wentworth employees know of our decision. They continued to call me at all hours of random days after that, and continued sending me offers in the mail. I kept telling the employees who I spoke to that I would appreciate it if they would stop calling me and stop mailing me offers and that if I changed my mind I would be in contact with them. Still they persisted, so I eventually told them they have to stop harassing me through phone calls and mail and they said they would no longer be in contact. Still, it continued, and to make matters wore they were calling me when I was in class at [redacted] College, disrupting the learning of my peers and I. I had threatened to change my cell number, but honestly that is a pain because then I have to alert all of my friends and family of my new number, which I shouldn't have to do because this company has serious boundary issues.I must add that I am not sure of the location that the mail is being sent from (I receive it and throw it away now)and I don't know what the location of the employees calling me is. I received another mail item which I ripped to shreds before I thought of contacting Revdex.com, but I salvaged a printed phone number which is ###-###-####. I am filing this complaint because they are violating my privacy and are engaging in what I feel is harassment. Any and all help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, not just for my benefit, but so others don't have to be continuously exposed to this companies very unethical business practices. Thank you,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I just want them to forget I exist. No more calls, no more mail, and no attempt at contacting me in any other way.

Review: This company claims to be the best at what it does and offer the most money.over all the competition. Well things started good the girl on the phone seemed nice enough and helpful but then her 2 managers ([redacted] & [redacted]) took over. And both have been extremely rude, sarcastic and dishonest...always repeating the same quoted lines but never addressing the issue, which is their company is offering the lowest amount instead of the highest amount which is what theyvsay they do. Plus when I asked for a supervisor or another number, [redacted] refused ! [redacted] also claimed .ro be in charge of all of jg. Wentworth...even though he is only a branch manager. They lie, are dishonest and. Have been harassing me through emails with name calling and more liesDesired Settlement: I feel they mislead the consumer and treated me very poorly and I don't want others to be treated likevthat by them and I think corporate needs to know this lost them tens of thousands of dollars between myself and sister. Thank you.

Review: I have for a month been trying to obtain a 2008 copy of a loan contract that my deceased husband had with this company. My children are listed as beneficiaries and unfortunately have taken on these repayments. I do not know any time frame for the repayment. I have faxed court documents and death certificates as requested on 1-6-13, 1-8-14 & 1-16-14 with fax confirmations on each. I have called about each several times and only the last of the three was acknowledged as being received. I called on 1-21-14, 1-22-14 & 1-23-14 only to find out that the documentation was not acceptable and asked that I get estate papers (that do not exist) or conservatorship paperwork with the court seal within the last 60 days. First of all, why would I get estate paperwork for just a copy of a document on my 19 year old son's behalf and court sealed conservatorship paperwork is not given on an annual basis. I was never told exactly what I needed as you cannot speak with the legal department, they can only relay information. So, here I will go again having to call someone that filters their calls as not to have to talk to me or actually work on this.Desired Settlement: I would like a copy of the contract and a clear and reasonable request of paperwork on my behalf.

Response:

First let me apologize to **. [redacted] for any inconvenience or confusion we may have caused.

Review: This is the 2nd time I am reporting this Company. They were to have had a payment deposited into My Account on the 20th of the Month. I have since then been informed that they have not done as they should have and have complied with what the contract that we went into court stipluated. This Company has stated that they will consider making a payment upon submittal of my Bank Statement to them. After seeing their neglect again, this company shouldn't consider making a payment. They need to make a payment to clear up the damages that their actions have caused!!! No arguments whatsoever. This company needs to take responsibility and make restitution.Desired Settlement: They need to pay out over $1,000 now for the damages their delay in getting me the funds has caused. They do not have time to consider anything. They need to clean up their mess ASAP!!!!!

Business

Response:

The money was deposited into **. [redacted]'s account. As I stated before, if he can produce valid written proof of the bank charges he says he has incurred we would consider paying those if causally connected to something we did or failed to do.

I am currently doing a structured settlement with J.G. Wentworth and I am about to cancel this transaction and follow thru with another company. As of now they have been very unprofessional cold and nonchalant yo my needs and any questions and assistance that I have asked of them prior to my court dates which have been all over the placed and cancelled multiple times due to there legal team. I have been patient and was even told since my court dates have been pushes back two months I was able to get a cash advance up to $3000-5,000 dollars and also they would talk to my property manager so that I'm able to move my so and I into a new place and pay some debts in the mean time. I HAVE HEARD ABSOLUTEY NOTHING BACK THRU MULTIPLE EMAILS and PHONECALLS my representive C[redacted]s very cold most Devils Advocate type company. All I asked was for help to pull me thru the next two months. I am single mother just finished college plus work full time as of now my son and I have no where to go with a beautiful place waiting for us and I can not even get a response from them with unbroken promises. Very unprofessional company cold company

Review: I have a lumpsom of money that comes into my bank account every year. I talked to the company about their services and decided that I didn't want to go through with them so I told them I was not interested and to not contact me. For the last 2 years I have been getting calls, emails, things in the mail and I've been asked to be put on the "do not call list" several times. I feel very harassed by the company. They wont listen to me. They don't even have my name spelled right in their system. To them my last name is "[redacted]"Desired Settlement: I want them to leave me alone and to stop contacting me.

Response:

I have verified that we have placed [redacted]’s file on Do Not Contact status; if she has any additional concerns she can contact me directly at: ###-###-####.

Review: 1) jg wentworth told another company that I was under contract with them (which is untrue) to scare away competition 2) jg wentworth told me they would offer me more money than the competition, but have failed to deliver 3) jg wentworth will not return my calls, texts, emails...even though they say they will the very same day I call 4) jg wentworth wants me to go to court without actually delivering on it's promises...mainly being more money (a better offer)Desired Settlement: To deliver on their promises (a better offer, more money) and if they won't/can't then to allow me to do business elsewhere without them saying I'm "under contract" with them (which is not true)

Response:

S** our responses, in yellow below, to Mr. [redacted]’s assertions. We apologize if there has b**n any miscommunication.

Review: Several years ago, I allowed my former husband to convince me to sell some of my annuity payments to J.G. WentWorth in order to assist in his starting his own business.

I was totally unaware that once the term of service was over that this company would sell my information to other lending companies as well. I have continued to receive unsolicited mailings from companiies i.e. [redacted] and others.

My current husband and I are doing well and have no desire of reselling my annuity payments of which we've both stated to the J.G. WentWorth staff members who've handle my former account with the company as well as those who had continued to make unsolicited phone calls.

My husband and I enjoys traveling and continue to reside in several locations. However, I've never given this information nor the addresses to J.G. WentWorth yet, I continue to receive unsolicited mailings from this company.

I don't want to continue business with J.G. WentWorth and I want the harassment to cease.Desired Settlement: I would like to have J.G. Wentworth refrain from selling both present/prior clients information to other lending companies and to cease all forms of harassment albeit written or verbal. I would also like to have J.C. WentWorth to refrain from unsolicited phone calls and mailings.

Response:

I would like to apologize to **. [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused her. I would also like to assure her that we do NOT sell, lend or otherwise give any of our customer information to our competitors. we spend a large amount of revenue in advertising hoping to attract customers to our business, that last thing we would ever do is give this valuable data to competitors. We did however merge with [redacted] 2 years ago. **. [redacted]'s name has been placed on our Do Not Call list she should not receive any more phone calls. If for any reason she has any further issues with our company she can call me, my direct phone number is ###-###-####.

Review: I and my mother inquired about J G Wentworth services to see what my options were for cashing an annuity. They made me an offer dollar amount and I told them I would think about it and let them know. They pressured me to let them send me a contract to "speed things up" should I agree to their terms. So they sent a contract which I never signed or returned.

After considering their offer, I declined and decided to wait the remaining 3 yrs for my annuity payment at the full amount and I told them I had made that decision and would not be using their services.

They then called back a few weeks later to say they can offer me more for my annuity. I told them I am not interested and to please not call again. I am also getting bombarded by junk mail from them.

They have since called from phone number [redacted] on 4/26, 5/2, 5/9, 5/13 and most recently 5/24. In spite of both my mother (they are calling her number as she supplied her number on my behalf) and myself telling them to stop calling, they keep calling. Today they said they would "put a note in my file" and that "I wouldn't get calls for a little while anyway."Desired Settlement: I just want them to stop calling me and stop mailing me junk. I am not interested.

Response:

We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and will remove her name from all contact lists. If for some reason she should be contacted again please call me directly and I will address the problem immediately.

Review: I was contacted at work by J.G. Wentworth to see if I wanted to sell an annuity payment to them. I was contacted by [redacted] from the number ###-###-####. I explained to him I was in the middle of an interview. He continued to pressure me asking if I needed money. I again explained I was in the middle of an interview (I am a recruiter, I interview people for a living), and asked that he not call me at work again. He asked why I used them before if I didnt want calls. I again explained I was interviewing someone and couldn't take the call......He was very rude and eventually hung up on me, and if the calls are recorded you can hear it for yourself. I called back after the interview and asked to speak to his supervisor. He said he was the price quote manager. I asked to speak to someone over him. He said they were in a meeting. I asked for their voicemail. He refused and asked me what I wanted them for. I told him I will get a hold of the Revdex.com if I wasnt given the opportunity to voice my concerns to his manager. He said go ahead, and refused to even let me leave a message on his managers voicemail if I wouldn't tell him what it was about. He refused to transfer me to anyone and just kept insulting me, as you will see on the recording that his company most certainly has, according to [redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like to speak to [redacted]'s manager about how I was treated and would like the situation handled on their end.

I'd like to first apologize to **. [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused her. We pride ourselves on our customer service and we are sorry we did not meet her expectations. The manager she can speak to is:

Review: Sometime ago, I sold some payments from an Annuity to this group, to help take care of a matter. They agreed through the Courts to make sure that Payments were deposited in my account by the 20th of each month. On several occasions, they have been late making the deposits, which has caused that payments that I have had to make by that time have recieved insufficient funds. If they filed with the courts that they would make the deposit by the 20th of the month, then they need to make sure that they follow thorugh with this matter. They have tried to blame the prior company for not making the payment on time, when they previous company does send them the funds in advance. This is gross neglegence and incomptence. It shows a lack of taking responsibility for their actions. They deserve to face the spotlight and be held responsible.Desired Settlement: Because of their incompotence, they need to pay all the Bounced check fees and make sure that Payments are deposited on the 20th, or face penalties for their incompotence.

Response:

We apologize to **. [redacted] for any inconvenience we may have caused him. A calendar item has been set up going forward to insure that his payment is received timely going forward. We will consider reimbursing him for any bounced check charges he has incurred that are directly attributable to us and if competent written proof of same is supplied.
