Review: Twice I had a problem with my SUV after I had an oil change at Jiffy Lube. On 1/31/14 I picked up the car & only got a little ways down the road & it died. I called them & they sent their guy & he fixed it, the hose had come off after the oil change. They were nice aout it, so I went back on 5/7/14 for another oil change. I picked up the car & went home (only a few miles away) & didn't use it the rest of the day. The next morning, the car was dead. I called Jiffy Lube & explained the problem & reminded them about the same thing happening in Jan. The guy was very rude & said it wasn't their fault. I then called [redacted] & they came & checked out the car & said that the hose was off (same problem as before) & that I should call Jiffy Lube back & complain. I did this & the guy was even more rude. I asked for the manager & he said he was, but he would not give me has name when I asked for it. I told him I was going to comtact the Revdex.com & he said to go ahead & try, becasue it wouldn't do any good! I am very upset about this & hope you can help me with this problem. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my oil changes, both in Jan. & May. The oil change in May was $32.09 & the Jan. invoice was $51.33, but I have a light fixed too, so $32.09 would be fair for that date, as the light was okay. I would alos like a written apoligy for the rude attitude of the so-called Manager in May.

Review: I went to get an oil change before I drove in my car was acting fine, no noise, they sold me extra things and ironically I left and within 5 minutes my car started to make a squelling noise, I called the manager and explained the noise and he told me to drive back so I did. I called him again to tell him that my vehicle was now sounding worse and it was knocking and more. He then told me just to still drive there. I got there and they looked at my car as I was upset crying in the car. They told me to take it to pep boys then they closed my hood I turned my car on and their was a shortage in my car because they left a wrench on my battery.

My car went to several shops the engine is now being replaced after not much responsiveness from the owner. The manager told me he would right a report and send it to corporate and a week later when I asked why corporate never called he told me that corporate was the franchise owner. They won't even let their insurance determine if this is their fault or not. It has been 3 and a half weeks and I have two children, and I am a single mom in graduate school. I would at least have appreciated a phone call with some agreement or conclusion instead of being ignored. I finally paid to have my car fixed this week after getting a rental which was not covered under insurance.Desired Settlement: I would like the owner to call and acknowledge me and come up with a solution as to what is fair to resolve this issue. I am a reasonable person and I am not asking for a lot. Just a solution to this problem.

Review: Please understand that I was totally disrespected and treated like a second class nobody at the Jiffy Lube - [redacted] - location - [redacted] Maryland. On May 15, 2013 after working a 12 hour shift for the Police Department, my choice to stop at Jiffy Lube in [redacted] Maryland for a oil change ONLY turned into a nightmare. I had to have my vehicle towed off the lot due to Jiffy Lube damage. Which my truck was in good condition when I arrive there. Staff was rudely and disrespectfully. Someone name [redacted] stated he was the manager and that he do work off the clock for a fee after Jiffy Lube had damage my vehicle and they pushed it out the dock area when it would not start. The entire staff decided to lock up and stand in the back of the building where I was awaiting for the tow truck, they drink alcoholic and smoked which I found crazy to see. They had no respect for self, customers, your company or human life. I was force to pay the fee for the oil change and a tow bill. I was in shock and angry about that. I have been contact by a District Manager name [redacted] - [redacted], on serve occasions to not be welling to make this go away and fix it, only accusing me of the matter as if I damage the vehicle. Poor customer service from the district manager on down to the lower staff. Poor service. After towing my vehicle to the [redacted] dealer, and getting the true facts as to the complete damage Jiffy Lube has cause me which is a brand new engine that they have blew completely out. I have contact **. [redacted] again to inform him, still he has not been cooperative at all not welling to fix the matter, with Jiffy Lube insurance company which I ask. Still not taking the blame. I will never go back to Jiffy Lube again. My civil suit will be filed soon if this matter is not fix. . My life was put in danger by Jiffy Lube. Thanks to Jiffy Lube I work in the District and live in [redacted] County have no VEHICLE and was not offered any means of help at all by Jiffy Lube. . My attorney will be contacting Jiffy Lube if I can not get this matter fix.Desired Settlement: Jiffy Lube needs to pay for full service to my vehicle with the dealership and fund all towing bills which I had to pay out of pocket or purchase me a new vehicle.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I was never offered anything for the damages which was due to Jiffy Lube. My vehicle was in good shape when I drove it to Jiffy Lube and they drove it in the bay area to do my oil change. At this point the vehicle was within the custody of Jiffy Lube for the oil change. Whatever mistakes they have create is which cause my engine to lock. With the same excuse over and over we at Jiffy Lube did everything wrong it's on video. Liers ! The District Manager **. [redacted] has not been of any help to me at all, just rude and unprofessional just like the staff at Jiffy Lube including the Manager [redacted]. I have obtain an attorney for some justice. I am out of a vehicle and have no means of transportation since May 15, 2013 . Again! I was never offered anything at all from Jiffy Lube and still making car payments on a lock engine vehicle which Jiffy Lube has damage.

Review: Had Radiator flush and fill done on a Cadillac Escalade in the October, 2013...followed up with them to top off the Radiator. January 2014 Radiator busted with a 10 mile trip. There were no leaks in the radiator prior to the busting of the Radiator. We were told it was our fault...This cost us 300.00Desired Settlement: Hire people are who are educated to work in the field in which they are hired. Would like to have a partial, if not full re-imbursement for the Radiator, towing, and service this has cost me.

Review: I went to Jiffy Lube at [redacted] in [redacted], Maryland on May 5, 2014 to get a basic oil change. Prior to me going I flushed my engine as I've done for years without any problem. While waiting for my vehicle to be serviced I notice the service people standing around my car. When I asked if there was a problem with my car, I was told to that I'll be spoken to.

I walked to the bay where my car was and was told by the Manager-[redacted] that my oil filler cap broke while they were preparing my car for service. I was told that the store will pay for another oil cap once it was to be located. That was on Monday May 5, 2014.

On Monday May 12, 2014 I went to get my oil cap that was to be replaced by Jiffy Lube. However, during my morning commute to work on May 14, 2014 my oil light and alarm was coming on every time I applied my brakes. That has never happened to me since I've owned this vehicle. While leaving a doctors appointment in [redacted] MAryland, my car started to sound really rough and the oil light and alarm stayed on for a about 10 minutes. The car lost power and stalled. I had to get my vehicle towed over 39 miles. When I did research on what was wrong with my vehicle, I found out that the motor was malfunctioning. I've had several Licensed and Certified mechanics look at the car and said that there must not be any oil in the vehicle for that to happen. I went and bought some oil and put it in my vehicle. I then started to see links and complaints on [redacted] repair forums about Jiffy Lube not putting oil back into a vehicle. I've talke to mechanics in my neighborhood who gets the majority of their work from Jiffy Lube messing cars up. I called the store and the District Manager Cornelius wanted to come by my house to see the car for himself. He listened to it and reminded me that I used a engine flush prior to service and that's why my motor died. I have all my service records and receipts from other places that has changed my oil and this has never happened. I have my receipts for my flush purchases as well. I can provide video of that car and it NEVER did this until Jiffy Lube in [redacted] changed my oil.Desired Settlement: I want Jiffy Lube to pay for the cost of a new motor or the repair to fix it, at the minimum

June 27, 2014Dear [redacted],This letter is in response to your letter of June 23, 2014, pertaining to the above ID reference.Records indicate that the customer [redacted] received three (3) Signature Service oil changes at Jiffy Lube Stores in the last two years, with the last one being on 05/05/2014 and that being the first time at Jiffy Lube Store ** at [redacted], Maryland 20707 with 115,761 miles on the vehicle.Prior to us performing the Signature Service on 05/05/2014, the Store Manager noticed that the customer was putting in a Motor Flush fluid into his vehicle in the parking lot, and as we performed the Signature Service on the vehicle, the oil cap was damaged. Jiffy Lube Store ** took responsibility for the oil cap damage and agreed to pay for a new one. On 05/12/14 the customer returned to the store and had a new oil cap installed. On 05/14/2014 [redacted] noticed his oil light and alarm coming on every time he applied his brakes, and continued to drive his vehicle until it failed to operate. In [redacted] his complaint, he mentions the oil cap incident and the engine problem. I as the District Manager visited the customer to examine the vehicle for myself. I also explained that either the broken oil cap or the new oil caps replaced by Jiffy Lube was the cause of the engine failure.Having ruled out all [redacted] reasons for engine failure, I believe it was caused either by improper use of engine flush added prior to the Signature Service oil change or malfunction of the oil pump. The fact that the customer continued to drive the vehicle, despite the oil light being on and alarm going off, worsened the state of the engine and caused it to shut down. The customer neglected to stop the car immediately in order to avoid damage.I have spoken at length with **. [redacted] concerning this situation and have indicated to him that the Signature Service did not cause the engine damage.Sincerely,

Review: I went into jiffy lube earlier this month just to get an oil change. I was bombarded and was told that I needed to get an engine flush immediately and out of fear I told them to proceed. The cost was 90 dollars plus tax. The professional mechanic I had to look at my car previously told me I did not need an engine flush at all and that everything was fine with my engine. Jiffy lube is trying to get extra money out of it customers by making false claims to get repairs done that are not needed. I have been a paying customer of jiffy lube since 2008 and am appalled by this experience. Justice needs to be served in this matter.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a free year of oil changes on my vehicle for the horrible situation I have been placed in.
