Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the
business in reference to complaint ID
***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I did
reselect a car and when I when I went to Basil on *** to pick it up they
sold it on meThey did not ask for a deposit but they did have me sign a
contract/agreement about the trade value and the final sale price and for them
to run my credit of the ***I attached a copy of a pdf of itThat was on
Saturday after they office closed and Sandy was aware I wanted the carSunday
Basil closes hours early and I got there lateNobody called me Sunday
eitherMonday I was at an appointment in the morning then I called telling
Sandy I was on my way to pick up the car and I was told that it was sold
Tuesday I looked online and the car was still for sale same price and
picturesSo I had my friend call another basil resale and the verified that it
was still on the *** lot and for saleWednesday the 19th my friend goes
in and speaks with Corey and he says the car is still there but couldn't sell
to meShortly after Basil changes there website to make the vehicle to appear
that it was gone but it had the same stock# *** and now said just arrivedI
attached a photo "Basil Repost" dated and stamped in the bottom right
corner this an example of misleading or advertising and their deceptive
sales practicesAlso basils failure to deliver goods and to follow through
with an oral and a written promises that I did signI have not
received a call from John who was a no show on Saturday or anyone from basil
Sandy or Courey since the Monday 8/17, when I was told the my car was sold
Courey did tell my friend he would look for a car with similar mileage and
yearWe are still waitingYesterday I decided to read the reviews about Basil
and find identical and similar stories involving Frank, Sandy and CoureyThe first one from "*** ***" that they hung up on her and didn't call backThe most eeire post was from "*** ***" he worked with Ron and Frank "Sold me my car" and later he also spoke with courey to fix his problemThey told him the car was sold and the owners wife was taking and later they corey said that he could have the carI attached the *** review please read the entire post from him it is almost identical to what im going thruThey make you run around until you give in or up.*** *** *** ** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** * *** *** *** *** * *** ** *** ***

*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** ** *** *** *** ***The reason I attached and mentioned the reviews is that they are all recent and within the same time frame I purchased my vehicleIt also shows that Im not alone in my concerns with my concerns in the sincerity of Basil to resolve thisAlso the several of the reviews are almost identical to complaint and concerns.John you replied to the Revdex.com that we had a deal on Monday 8/17, which was trueI went to go pick up the car on Monday and it was soldYou/Basil broke both a verbal and written agreement and mislead the Revdex.comconsequently I don't think my complaint is resolved and I cannot accept that it was my faultJohn I was happy with the car and would have bought it. I would like to work directly with a manager when looking for a replacement car and I would like to speak with Mr.Basil if a trade in is the only solution

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is not satisfactory to meThis
has nothing to do with the service manager because he is the only one helping meThis is in regrard to Nicky ignoring a customer and the sales manager also failing to respond back.

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Of course the salesman and John are going to stick togetherBottom line, I stated I wanted to "BUY" a vehicle not leasewhat reputable dealership takes $down on a lease? I want my $back

The customer had their vehicle at a KIA dealer out of town and they called in the claim for the intake manifold and it was declined due to the fact that intakes are not listed for coverageSo when the customer was back in Buffalo She brought the car into our shop for help. We
reviewed the claim and saw that the "wording" the KIA dealer used was not helping to get anything covered for the customer, so with us knowing that the intake gasket is a covered part we informed the customer we could get the gasket and all the labor needed to perform the job covered. We were able to get the claim overturned from zero to $the customer would have just needed to purchase a new intake or a used intake and the rest was being paid forWe waited for an answer from the customerThe customers father then call us, we informed him that the declined claim that had zero coverage was now approved for almost $the customers father was then upset told us to put the car back together and cancel the warranty claimSo for no charge to the customer we paid our Technician out of our own pocket to diagnose and put it back togetherWe feel that we went above and beyond to help our customer and by asking us to cancel the claim the customer did nothing ,but hurt themselves and waste our timeWe consider this mater closed and take no responsibility for the customers actions or decisions

Basil Resale Center has come to an aggreement with the customer by trading in their *** *** for a different vehicle.I hope this satisfies all parties involvedSincerely, John FE-Commerce Director Basil Resale Center

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attentionToday we spoke with Mr *** and worked out the issues in questionIf I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact meRegards, John F

*** ***As shown in the dated text message Exchange, basil Transit resale Center was alerted to the issue in September just days after the vehicle was purchasedThere is also an email exchange that is dated that demonstrates that basil Transit resale Center was alerted much in advance of a six-month warranty expiration datethis is a smokescreen by basil Transit resale Center to cover up Knowingly Selling a defective vehiclethere is no other reason why the check engine would have come on after driving only milesbasil Transit resale Centerfalsified offering a month or mile warranty

Yes, the response is correct, however, it was THE DEALER that sent us to the other dealship- we would not haphazardly just take our truck to another dealship when the issue needed to be resolved by Basil. We took the truck in June 6th, today is JULY 5th and we STILL do not have the truck back fixed yet. Now, when we called the other dealership to find out the status of our truck we were told two weeks ago that the parts are on national back order. Clearly, this is beyond Basil's control- HOWEVER, this should have all been taken care of in JUNE 6th when we took it in. We had to fight with the warranty company for two weeks, and ONLY until I filed a complaint to the Revdex.com did we FINALLY get a call the next day to help. When we found out how long it was going to  take we called Basil, because they didn't even offer any help or offer up a temporary truck to use in the interim, keep in mind we own a renovation business and NEED a truck to make our livelihood, and ask for something to use in the mean time- we were told we could only have a loner for 3 days, no truck- we have a [redacted]. That's a good trade for a [redacted]- ultimately, we got a 'car' to use while we still wait for our truck, the guy that help was nice and helpful. I have never seen the responsible pushed off onto so many other people in my life. We wanted nothing more than for the engine to get fixed- I KNOW they would never tolerate this kind of customer service themselves. Just disappointed all around, yesterday we made a $450 truck payment for a truck we haven't used in over a month.

[redacted] Mrs [redacted] was leasing her car thru our in house lease program. In terms of what "Todd" told her I cant speak on there private conversation. All of the sale staff is trained on word tracks and what to tell the customer when they finance with our lease program. There is no commission for doing...

our in house program so there is no reason to convey false information. Customers can trade and upgrade at anytime but theres many factors that play into that. Income, credit, cash down, trade value. Our in house lease's do not report to credit reports so it will not improve credit rating at all. With that being said even if you have the loan with bank any past dues accounts and current credit obligations must be current and not past due. All of this information is gone over when the customer meets with our finance department to sign all contracts. Mrs [redacted] default on her loan which she signed a binding contract she is required to pay the $8,261.83.

Revdex.com spoke to Doug at the business and the following was relayed: The customer did come in with a complaint about the rear defroster which was repaired. He also stated an issue with the brakes. The brakes were inspected, there is no issue with the brakes which the customer was shown and agreed with.

When
Ms. [redacted] purchased her 2006 Scion in February of 2014 it had
87,874 miles on the odometer. Ms [redacted] declined the offer of an
extended warranty. When the vehicle left our lot it was NY State
inspected and in good running condition.

Since
purchase the 2006 Scion has been driven approximately 30,000
miles in 15 months. Any vehicle that is driven excessively
like that is going to require maintenance, upkeep and service!

What
Ms. [redacted] fails to mention is that every time she needed service
we conceded money to assist her as a customer and as an act of good
will. The total as of today is $2,221.25 that we have spent
internally to assist her.....After the sale. Technicians,
parts, tools and technology aren't free as we all know.
Basil Resale has exceeded our liability in every possible way
to no avail with Ms. [redacted]. We have done what very few businesses
would do to help a customer. Our customer service policy is to exceed
the customers expectations in every aspect....I am comfortable and
confident that we have done so in this case.

If I
can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me at
the number below.

Ms. [redacted] has 2 contracts due to the fact that she asked to have the extended warranty cancelled which was done, resulting in a lower payment on the 2nd contract. The customer did not qualify for conventional financing and we helped her obtain a vehicle using alternative financing sources. The customers last vehicle was obtained the exact same way!The contract clearly states on the top of the page:MOTOR VEHICLE LEASE AGREEMENT.I hope this answers any questions or concerns the customer might have.Regards,John [redacted]Basil Lease Corp

To Whom this may concern:  We have spoke with the customer server times in regards to her about t the issues. And explained to her that this car she purchased isn't a hybrid and the engine the car has is the only way this comes equipped. We have offered her opitions on trading the car in for certain different cars. but she has her heart set on what she is driving the engine doesn't come any different. we are more than happy to do trade her out of the car if she desires. we have never mislead her or mis guided her in the this process. Please feel free to contact us with any issues.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I have reviewed the entire file and interviewed all parties involved from our dealership. The customer agreed to have a lower payment for the first 4 payments which we subsidized and then the payment would go back to the original amount of...

$486. I'm not sure where there is a problem as we did everything the customer requested and then some! I would welcome the customer to come in and review the documents and their signatures at their convenience. Please advise if I can be of further assistance. Regards, John F. E-Commerce Director Basil Resale Center

Yes he brought the vehicle in during the warranty period and it had the codes for EVAP and air bag. we fixed those,  test drove the vehicle and no other codes appeared. He called after traveling back home and after more than 10,000 miles on the vehicle and stated there was a transmission issue. The warranty was 6 months/ 6,000 miles.

I contacted Basil Resale this morning and spoke with people there and people who take care of the paperwork. No one knows anything about changing the contract. Consumer needs assistance in cancelling extended warranty.

We are sorry you were not happy with the loaner car we provided while your vehicle was in service as we only have ''emergency" vehicles for people that have cars that left them stranded. As far as the other complaints we could not duplicate any of them. We found nothing wrong with the heating and...

cooling system and like you said it's working fine. We tested the cruise control and found it working normal and as "designed". As for the brakes we test drove for the noise and did not hear anything so we had the tech remove the wheels and inspect for any issues, We found no issues with the brakes and the tech noted they were in great condition. I have no issue with assisting you with help if the brakes are still intermittently having a noise. We have been here for over 30 years and always stand behind our product and customers. I myself have a father who is a Vietnam Veteran and I and the whole Basil automotive group have nothing but respect for those who have served and sacrificed. I invite you to call me directly and let me help in any way I can.Kevin [redacted]parts and service Director Basil automotive group[redacted]
