Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We have been in touch with the customer and have met or exceeded her demands on every issue. The expectation of making a used car new again is not realistic, each and every Used Car has flaws and is priced accordingly. If we can be of further...

assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.Respectfully,JohnJohn F[redacted]E-Commerce DirectorBasil Resale CenterDirect: ###-###-####

The owners manual was mailed to the customer approx 10 days ago. Please let me know if it wasn't received! Regards, John

This vehicle was sold with over 88K miles and in new York state it comes with a 30 day or 1,000 mile limited warranty. Now even though almost all the repairs we made and money we spent on the vehicle did not fall under any type warranty we did it as "good will" for our customer. We have paid out...

$5,502.13 in repairs that were not covered and over $1,400 were cosmetic repairs such as arm rests and glove box repairs "trim" at this point  we feel we have done more than enough and consider this case closed and have no further obligation to the vehicle or the customer .

Yesterday 2/22/17, I went to [redacted] Chrysler with the Totally Integrated Power Module (that Basic stated needed to be installed before they could inspect and maybe some of the repairs they made that never worked would start working). The Service Advisor did a check on the system before he installed the TIPM I purchased. He checked the wiring circuit and found the rear wiring harness truck to body had broken wires. They replaced the wiring harness and the existing TIPM WORKED! Not only that, but it passed inspection. It cost me $340.60.Basil should have checked this wiring harness. They sent me on a wild goose chase for a part I originally was told would cost $ 1,150.00 with installation. I found one for $333.49 + installation and obviously did not need it anyway.  Basil should reimburse me for all previous repair charges and deductables. They should also pay for the Cecconi charges of $ 340.60 because they obviously did not inspect it, and sent me on a wild goose chase search for parts and how upset I was thinking about not having enough money to get my car inspected. Let me know if you still need the Warranty. It is 9 pages - can I mail it?[redacted]

I have already spoken to Mr. [redacted] and resolved his issue. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me at the number below.Regards,John [redacted]Basil Resale Center[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I don't agree with Basil.  The bulk of the money they put into the car was in the window of their "6 month warranty".   I'm sure my daughter is not the only one who travels a lot for work and school and puts mileage on a vehicle.  Scions are rated very high.  Obvious this one was a lemon.  I disagree that they extended themselves with good faith.  The service manager was great.  He did get us a discount when her throttle body went after we had already put in several thousand dollars; still costing us $600.  The last time we were there it failed inspection because of front brakes and a wheel bearing.  We already had one wheel bearing replaced.  They told my daughter she needs to get the other one fixed within 2 weeks or her wheel may fall off.  We had it in 2 weeks ago to Triple A Car Care.  There was nothing wrong with her wheel bearing, but her calipers were froze and back brakes needed.    Interesting.  I'm not impressed with  Basil's customer service.  Before I contacted Revdex.com, I called Basil (anyone in management) four times and left messages.  I never received one return call.  The only time Mr. F[redacted] called was when I called to speak to Mr. Basil and he called back and said he was returning my call on behalf of Mr. Basil and left a message on my home phone.  When I called back the next day, the secretary, Maryann,  said he was out indefinitely for heart surgery.  When I would leave messages with Maryann, she would giggle and say she'll have one of the "boys" call me back.    I am extremely disappointed in my dealings with Basil.  Word of mouth is always a good thing.  I will never consider buying a car from Basil again.

The warranty is through [redacted], which was purchased through Basil. The only reason the claim was approved was bc Basil finally called them after 2 weeks of them asking for different paperwork. Thank you-

Tell us why here...  The check engine light issue was resolved with the car. Im unaware of any current issue with the car. please let us know of any issues.

In the matter concerning [redacted]...

we have talked to her regarding her purchase of her 2015 terrain more than several times. From the time of purchase leasing the vehicle was never mentioned as a matter of fact she was explained during delivery that is was a conventional buy and we were going to pay her lease vehicle off after we received funding from the bank for her transaction with us.  It is common practice that our F&I managers go through all financial paperwork before the customer sighs anything. We also have giving the customer the option to either trade the vehicle in or we can look into re structuring her loan to make her payment more affordable. We at basil believe this is just a situation of buyers remorse. However we will do what we can in regard to the two options we have previously made available to her. Thank You,  Corey [redacted]   Gm

A representative from Basil resale contacted me and told me to bring in the title of the vehicle in order to refinance the loan. So far I haven't gone there because I just recently received my title. Also, this is not the solution I was hoping for either.

My lease agreement states that my payments well total  $14,575. I understand that basil has said they allowed me use of a loaner vehicle however I was under the presumption that my warranty covered this cost at $30 per day. I feel as a customer buying or repairing merchandise wether it be a toy or a car it should be repaired fully. I should not be told that we have fixed the vehicle to the best of our ability and have put extra funds into it at our expense because what we orginally told the warranty company was the issue and charged them almost $2000 for was not the full extent of the problem. I feel as a customer I should be satisfied with the repairs and be driving off the lot with a car that is fixed. The vehicle is still shaking, white smoke coming from tail pipe, the front end shakes at 50 mph the engine sounds extremely loud, and it keeps flashing check gas cap. I feel the van is not mechanically safe to drive and that if I was to drive off the lot I would be back the next day or maybe even moments after returning the vehicle back to them because of this. All I want to rectify the situation is my down payment of  $2500 plus my trade of $500 and out of my lease with no downfall to me.

Ms [redacted] did come in and re-select a vehicle on Saturday with a scheduled delivery of the next day. The vehicle was prepped and ready for delivery and the customer never showed up! Monday morning I received a call from Mr. [redacted] stating that "BASIL WASN'T LOSING ENOUGH" on the deal for his satisfaction! The car was released and sold to another party. I would like to remind everyone involved that Basil Resale Center is trying to assist this customer to the best of our ability. Our offer to assist still stands even as Mr [redacted] uses this forum to communicate while telling me he wants nothing to do with this issue! In order for this to work for everyone both parties (in this case 3 parties) need to compromise. If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me. Regards, John F. E-Commerce Director Basil Resale Center

Customer states the business called and they took care of the warranty issue. He has not received any new paperwork regarding this.

It was Basil Resale Delaware. They tore my car apart to look at the damages. I currently have the car at another shop. I do not know if there is any damages done from them leaving my window down in the middle of a snowstorm at this time.

If you review the Invoice for the repairs the dealership agreed to 3 repairs during the time of purchase. The items that they agreed to repair have  dot's next to them and initials from the dealership agreeing to these repair's. If you look at the secound set of documents they repaired the heater issue and the rear hatch issue. The water leak issue they subleted out for the repair. They sent the vehicle out for the water leak issue the first time with no issue, now that the leak occured again and caused damage to the vehicle they refuse to stand behind there sales agreement. If  need be I will take this issue to the news and seek legal action. This dealership needs to stand behind there sales agreement and honor the issue at hand. Thank You [redacted]

Thank you very much for the opportunity. Im here Monday 9-8/ tues 9-5/ Wednesday 12-8/  off Thursday/ Friday 9-5/  only day this week that doesn't work is this Wednesday. But just let me know when is good for you.

The customer took his car to another dealer for the work. It is currently at [redacted] we have no control over another service dept at another company.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. After interviewing staff and reviewing records (see attached), Basil Resale Center stands with our position. The customer purchased the vehicle and declined the recommended repairs in order to keep the sale price down. I'm not sure where the...

misunderstanding is as it is clearly defined in the attached invoice signed by the customer. If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me at the number below. Respectfully, John F. e-Commerce Director Basil Resale Center

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. For future reference I do not accept the response given but will be taking the vehicle to another garage to have the brakes replaced where I can work it around my schedule since I already had to lose time from work.
