Phone response - He uses the truck for deliveries. On 10/5/17 he brought it in, we changed a vent valve and crash sensor, there was no transmission code showing. On 12/19 after putting 13,309 miles on, he states there is a check engine light and customer declined the diagnosis as he did not want to...

pay the fee. He had our 6 month/6000 mile warranty, and he declined any extended warranty. The fee due was because he was well past the 6000 miles given.

[redacted]Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The customer leased a 2005 Saturn Relay with 96,000 miles from Basil Resale Center in February of 2015. The Capitalized cost was $9,972, not the $14,500 that the customer stated in their complaint. We have worked with Ms [redacted] to the best of...

our ability in our service department and have internalized charges of $2,684.64 for service in goodwill. As we all know, all vehicles have ongoing costs for operating expenses and repairs. We have also supplied loaner cars to Ms. [redacted] at no expense to her.If I can be of further assistance please don't hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, John [redacted]E-Commerce Director Basil Resale Center

We have no problem taking her out of her current car and but her into something else. We would much rather do all this face to face vs text and email. Mrs [redacted] can work with the GM or Sales manager directly.

Re: complaint #[redacted]Ms. [redacted] purchased a 2006 Scion Tc on 2/28/14 with 87,874 miles on the odometer. charges to the customer as an act of good faith! The vehicle has been driven approximately 30,000 miles since  the purchase (15 months) and in addition to our good faith discounting Basil Resale has spent $2,220 in "no charge" service work. While we make every attempt to satisfy and exceed each customers expectations, sometimes it just is not possible. I am confident and comfortable that Basil Resale Center has exceeded reasonable responsibility to Ms. [redacted].If I can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.Regards,John F[redacted]Commerce DirectorBasil Resale Center4131 Sheridan DrWilliamsville, NY  14221###-###-####

We were made notice of this issue today. Our service manager has been in contact with the customer to resolve all issues.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The issue was not to bring my used car back to brand new conditions. It was for them to fix the issues they caused to my jeep. When basil picked up my jeep to get that scratches buffed out that they put there they came back with more scratches on the opposite passenger bumper.  This has been a nightmare and for them to say they have went above and beyond is beyond far from true. I do not want my jeep going back to basil for service as every time something else occurs.I would like a collision shop to fix the scratches that they put there yet again.

Dear Revdex.com,Ms. [redacted] had previously LEASED her Saturn Aura from us and was very familiar with that alternative financing source when she leased again. I'm not sure where the misunderstanding is?I would be happy to forward Ms. [redacted] her signed and executed lease contract if she has misplaced it.If I...

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Regards,[redacted] Attached is the detailed invoice. It is clear the they replaced fuses for both the power seat and the lighter which did not work afterwards and service told me they would not work as an additional module would need replacement. They are correct on the bill amount I paid. The Warranty was not explained to me. I was told it was bumper to bumper. You would heve to compare a parts list of every part in the car and compare it to the policy to know what is not covered - let alone very expensive parts not covered. They would give me about half of what I paid for the car a year ago at trade-in value as the offer they made at the end of their comments is insulting. Please let me know the status of this as I am prepared to take it further.

Miss [redacted] took delivery of a 2013 [redacted] from us 11/07/2015. Cosmetic repairs are only covered as documented. We promise to only cover the following: 1) Repaint rear bumper 2) Repair scratches and corrosion on (4) wheels. See enclosed copy of promise letter. Customer was completely...

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I reject the business response due to the following facts: 1) the business refused to conduct a diagnosis of the vehicle just days after the purchase. Because the business refused, I personally had to take the vehicle to have the diagnosis completed [as demonstrated in both the provided dated email documents and text documents -- the business simply refused to do the diagnosis; 2) also in the 2 dated documents provided, the business was informed of the transmission slipping just days after the cargo van was purchased. The fact that the check engine light came on after driving merely 50 miles, is an indication that the business just slapped an inspection sticker on the windshield without thoroughly inspecting the vehicle; 3) the business promised lifetime oil changes and never changed the oil any of the times the vehicle entered the shop when requested - further demonstrating that the business didn't stand behind the sale -- the business seems to have hoped that the transmission problem would not have been noticed until the warranty ran out. However, the transmission was slipping just days after the purchase as indicated by dated documentation. The business sought the easiest, least costly option to repair, but disregarded the transmission because of the large expense. Dated documentation submitted to The Revdex.com demonstrates the timeliness of reporting the transmission problem -- the transmission problem was reported before the vehicle reached even 3,000 miles and was reported in less that a month from the purchase date. It appears that the company shows a pattern of not honoring its own 6-month/6000 mile warranty.
