At Job Support Services, one of our main goals is to be transparent and up front about what customers can expect from us, what products and services we provide, as well as the fact that our products and services are optional. In addition, we communicate that jobs do come and go frequently. The customer's complaint was that we were misleading about job openings. At the time of their registration/payment, there was jobs available in their area. When they attempted to look for the jobs on their own, they had already been removed as they were filled. The customer contacted us the same day they purchased and requested a refund. We provided the customer with a full refund the day of the request (6/6/19).

My experience with taking the exam and getting hired was quicker than I expected. I took the test on a Thursday, applied for multiple positions in my location and was called for my first interview on Saturday, three days after testing!!!

Congratulations! Thank you for letting us know and good luck in your new career

I have never used a company to prepare me for a career, but I stumbled upon jobsupportservices and I am so glad that I did. Their web site offered me the opportunity to see what the USPS exam would be like, and the chance to practice anytime I wanted to until I felt comfortable enough to take the actual exam. When I was comfortable I applied for two positions, chose an exam date, took the exam and passed *** an 85.7. The following week I was granted interviews with both offices I applied for and I was offered a position with both. I chose the office nearest to my home, a small and beautiful community. I have completed my classroom training and have 2 shadow days remaining with my office trainer. I am excited to be a Federal Government employee and look forward to a fun and challenging new career. Thank you jobsupportservices.

I want to echo the other complaints said against Job Support Services, LLC too!
The complaint I want to echo is the crime of scaming legitimate job seekers into paying an unnecessary price for an unnecessary service to apply for a USPS job. JSS scammed me into thinking I needed their "help" with the USPS tests. I do not like this kind of lying and stealing scam. They only tell half the truth. And half the truth is no truth at all.YES, I too want a refund of my $49.99 ASAP. Already there are too many half truth scams online in today's online world wide web.I would even go so far to say that JSS is part of the "dark web" in my mind.

Desired Outcome

A refund of $49.99 plus money for my wasted time filling out their unneeded information to scam me.

I was trying to apply for a job at the USPS because I lost my current job and they told me to pay $59 to receive information about taking the test in order to pass the postal exam. I went on there about 2weeks ago and found out that you don't need to pay to take practice exams or for the info. I would like to request my money back for fraudulent service.

Thanks,
Ms

The Customer service agent Sekeithia from Job Support helped me better understand the hiring process of the Postal Service. Additionally, the Job Support Services website helped me prepare for and pass the Battery Exam - it worked, I'm in!

I was checking into a united States postal job and came across this number (which turned out to be Job Support Services) I go the number online. The lady talked to me about Post office jobs, but at the end she insisted on getting my debit card number (I was thinking it was US post office and gave the number and turned out to be a scam. she charged me 49.99, which I would like to be returned as soon as possible. I would like to warn anyone interested in post office jobs to go directly to US Postal site to apply to avoid being deceived as I was.

Thanks to job support services I was ready for the postal exam

Job Support Services gave me the encouragement I needed to apply for a career with the USPS by explaining the many career options and pay scale with the United Stated Postal Service. Your job support program gave me clear step by step instructions on the entire application process, from start to finish. Your program also was helpful in that it allowed me access to practice tests so I would succeed on the exam, with a high score an 86.2.

Thanks to Job Support Services for preparing me for the 473 postal exam. I am now employed by USPS. The entire course was very helpful.

Hello I'm not gonna be rude like everybody up here but I will say I want a refund. I called the post office AFTER I took my test to see if a 49.99 payment was required to take the test and the usps manager in my location said NO and that the test was FREE. Now the jss representative I had spoken too was very convincing saying that it was required to make a REFUNDABLE payment of 49.99 in order to get the test material and to take the 473 exam. She was so convincing that I spent my last 50 dollars because I thought this was a good opportunity only to find out everything was free. I need my money back if all of these angry people can get their money back, than a person that's trying to be reasonable should be able to get her money back as well!!!

Desired Outcome

Refund I want a refund please!!!

Job Support Services is not, nor do we clam to be affiliated with the USPS, or any other civil service or government agency. We help assist candidates through the hiring process for certain entry level positions in the civil service industry. What we offer is: simulated practice exams, a free hiring guide, a job locator tool, a job board, step by step instructions, and live agent support throughout the entire process. One of our main goals is to be transparent and up front about what customers can expect from us, what products and services we provide, as well as the fact that our products and services are optional. This information is provided throughout our website, as well as on a customer's transaction receipt. Throughout our website, you can find disclaimers stating that we are not affiliated with any government or civil service agency, and that there is no fee to apply, nor for the official exams or the study materials offered by the USPS or any other civil service agency. The fee is for our job board, study guides, simulated practice exams, and customer support. We have helped hundreds of candidates attain employment with the USPS and other civil service entry level positions, and their testimonials can be found on our website. We do understand that our program is not essential for some candidates who prefer to go through the process on their own. We never received a refund request from this customer, however, to ensure quality customer satisfaction, we provided the customer with a full refund on the date that we received their complaint (4/10/2019).

Was interested in a job and contacted the number that was provided online. I assumed I was talking with the USPS Human Resources and was informed that I needed to pay for study materials and such to prepare for testing, which I did for $49.99. After receiving my receipt I realized that it was for Job Support Services and not the USPS. I feel I was deceived in thinking it was the actual USPS. On 3/26/19 I called Job Support Services and requested a refund due to securing another job and would not be taking the test. I was informed that I had to take the test and fail was the only way I could get a refund. This whole process with this company, I feel, was confusing and deceiving. I am requesting a refund for the amount I have paid.
Product_Or_Service: Postal testing

Desired Outcome

Refund Refund the amount of money I have paid and for this company to be more up front with people stating they are not affiliated with the postal service.

Job Support Services Response • Apr 03, 2019

This customer claims that our advertisement does not mention that we are not affiliated with the USPS, however, all of our advertisements do provide a disclaimer stipulating that we are "not affiliated with any government or state entities, including the United States Postal Service". This information is also included throughout our website, as well as stated on every phone conversation with all customers. On one of the service calls made by the customer, they requested a refund. Our refund policy states: "The Job Support Services' program offers a "Pass the Exam" guarantee. Therefore, registration fees are fully refundable if the candidate takes and does not pass the required postal battery exam, which is given at an independent testing facility. Refunds are also available to those who request them within 72 hours of their registration date, provided our program resources have not yet been accessed or used." At the time of the request, the customer did not qualify for a refund, as they accessed all of the material, were past the 3-day (72 hour) right of recession, and as they stated themselves that they did not take and fail the Official 473 or 473c exam. Other mitigating circumstances would qualify candidates for a partial refund. Customers who have completed all the required steps within the program and find that there have been no available jobs within 50 miles of their residence after 120 days of registering for the service can qualify for a partial refund and maintain full access to their Job Support Services account. We provide this option to customers as a courtesy, as USPS jobs frequently come and go. Our records indicate that when they made the full refund request, they did not qualify at that time for a full or partial refund (as there was still jobs in their area, and because they did not take and fail the official exam). Because our product is delivered electronically at the moment a payment is approved, it is not practical to offer refunds for those who change their mind or make an assumption that we offer something that we do not, or that we are an entity that we are not. There is simply no way to recover an electronically delivered product. This is a common problem for all providers when products are delivered electronically, however, it is our goal to provide tools and assistance to our customers in order to more easily navigate the hiring process and maximize their score on the 473 Exam in order to obtain a position with Postal Service. Since our valued customer is unsatisfied, we provided them with a courtesy refund for the full amount on the day we received their Revdex.com complaint (4/1/2019).

Partially accept response with the exception of they did not state they were not affiliated with the Postal Service, however, it was written on my receipt after it was paid for.

They helped me prepare for the postal exam. Very good customer service

Job Support Services Response • Mar 20, 2019

Thank you for the positive review. Good luck on your new career path, please let us know if we can be of any other assistance in the future.

I just found out I was scammed by Job Support. They told me there were openings at the Post Offices near me, last Wednesday. I called one today, curious of what position was open and they said none. I called the other one a little farther away, none. They also said I shouldn't have had to pay to take exams! I paid them $49! So I called them to let them know there weren't any jobs around me so I won't be taking the exams so could I have my money back? They said since I accessed their website to practice the exams, they could only give me back half. I am so frustrated! Lost money and time! Now back to the drawing board!
Product_Or_Service: $49 to take the 2 postal exams.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a FULL refund because they lied to me about a job opening in my area. I never would have paid for the exams otherwise.

This customer was informed that there were jobs in their area by a representative who was attaining this information from the USPS website. They were also informed that jobs come and go quickly, so if I job posting is removed then they should check back periodically, even daily, as new jobs are frequently posted. The customer purchased on 3/6/2019, and utilized the materials and resources purchased. On 3/11/2019, the customer requested a refund. Even though the customer was outside of the scope of our prescribed refund policy, we provided the customer with a full refund the day of the request to ensure quality customer satisfaction. We are not sure why the customer felt that they would only receive a partial refund, as a full refund was provided on the day of the request.

There wasn't a job opening at my area post offices for longer than a year. I called them and asked them. I cannot agree to the lies. I was told when I asked for a refund that they could only get half back because I had accessed the practice exams. Again, another lie! I did, however get a full refund later. This complaint is about the lying they tell to people who desperately need a job. I studied those exams for 5 days because I was told that Hanover had an opening. I could have spent those 5 days looking for a job opening that really did exist!

Was scammed into believing this was a legite hiring service for the United States Postal Service, after doing additional research found the services thy provide can be found online for free.. also they cannot provide you with the knowledge needed to be hired by the postal service..

Last September I went online looking for full-time employment. The first listing was for jobsupportservices.com which promised to help job seekers pursue a career with the USPS by offering tutorials in order to better prepare for the postal exam.
I was instructed to go on the USPS website to fill out the application and once that was done to randomly choose as many job postings available. I was also told once that was accomplished I would receive an "invite" to take the personality exam. They did send me it. I was instructed by jobsupportservices.com I would need to use Google Chrome, Mozilla Foxfire or some other browser to take the exam; however, my laptop and my PC was just not compatible. I explained it to them. They could not understand why I was having difficulty. I asked if it was possible to take the exam at a postal facility. They said a library would suffice. So, I asked them what do I need to do to set that up. I was told it is a two part exam and I would definitely have to take the first part at home and the second part elsewhere. I had also been told I could choose as many job postings on the USPS website again and resubmit my application and wait for an invite. I am still waiting for that invite. Granted, I used their tutorial, however; I feel like I am not getting anywhere.

Desired Outcome

Refund I am requesting jobsupportservices.com to credit the 50.00 owed me.

Job Support Services Response • Mar 19, 2019

On September 22, 2018, the customer contacted us via telephone to purchase and register for our program. They have received the email with the link to the fulfillment site, as our records show that they have logged in and accessed the materials purchased (with a last visit date of 11/10/2018). In addition to utilizing the materials purchased, the customer has also received our Services. On one of the service calls made by the customer, they requested help with the process. In order to get an invite to take the official proctored 473 exam, they would first need to complete and pass the 1st section of the exam, which is to be completed at home. The USPS platform for the 1st part of the exam does work best with Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, which is why the representative instructed them to use one of those browsers. After attempting to help them download one to their laptop and being unsuccessful, they did inform the customer that they could go to a library to use one of their computers (which already have these browsers installed). Also, in order to schedule a time to take the official exam (both the first and second parts), you must first apply to a job in your area to receive an invite from the USPS with a date and time to take the exam. As we are not affiliated with the USPS (or any other civil service or government agency), we cannot speak on their behalf and answer why they have not sent the customer an invite to take the 1st portion of the exam. There are numerous factors could contribute to the customer not receiving an invitation from them. We are saddened to hear that the customer's experience is less than satisfactory. We did not receive a refund request from them but have decided to refund them in full (on the date we received their Revdex.com complaint) to ensure quality customer satisfaction.

This really is both an Advertising and a Service issue! I was looking for a job and came across a posting for a job in my local Post Office. I, of course, clicked the link and it brought me to this site. I called the number and I was ASSURED that there were jobs in my local office, the customer service rep, (use that lightly), said that he was, in fact, looking at the jobs right now. So I paid the $49.99, went to the site, looked around, followed all the directions, only to find that I now had to go to the USPS site, make a login and apply there, which is all fine, EXCEPT there are NO jobs anywhere near where I live. I questioned my choice from the moment I started, but there are people out there that desperately need a job and you are taking advantage of those that need the help and probably don't have the $49.99 to spare, myself included, so thanks for nothing but wasting my time!

Refund I would like my money back, in full! I also would really like for you to stop doing this to people. This is a situation where even if you do happen to help one person, which I doubt, you have screwed so many others that your efforts mean nothing. In a world going to crap, do some good!

Job Support Services Response • Mar 18, 2019

On one of the service calls made by the customer to our company, they requested a refund. Our refund policy states: "The Job Support Services' program offers a "Pass the Exam" guarantee. Therefore, registration fees are fully refundable if the candidate takes and does not pass the required postal 473 or 473c exam, or any other civil service exam. Refunds are also available to those who request them within 72 hours of their registration date, provided our program resources have not yet been accessed or used." At the time of the request, the customer did not qualify for a refund, as they were past the 3-day (72 hour) right of recession, they had accessed the materials, and as they stated themselves that they did not take and fail the Official 473 or 473c exam. Also, in order to schedule a time to take the official exam, you must first apply to a job in your area to receive an invite from the USPS with a date and time to take the exam, which the customer has not yet done. Since our valued customer is unsatisfied, we provided them with a courtesy refund for the full amount.

I was led to believe that their website and program that I was charged 59.99 for was the only way to get a job in the postal office. After purchasing and using the website for a day or two I talked to a friend that is also going to take the postal exam and found out that the test is free. To my surprise I then called and asked the to clarify what exactly I paid for because I was under the understanding that this was the only way to take the exam. They in return told me that I was paying for the practice test and that they gave me access to getting the email to be invited to take the test. Frustrated I just hung up. I then continued to go about the route that my friend told me and all in all I got the email to take the test through the usps website not through Job Support Services!! I would like a refund since they told me the only way to take the test was to go through them to get the email "invitation". When obviously that was not the case.

At Job Support Services, we offer job preparation materials that are optional and offered independently from the USPS or any other agency. Throughout our website, you can find disclaimers stating that we are not affiliated with any government or civil service agency, and that there is no fee to apply, nor for the official exams or the study materials offered by the USPS or any other civil service agency. The fee is for our job board, study guides, simulated practice exams, and customer support for certain entry level civil service jobs. To ensure quality customer satisfaction, we have provided the customer with a full refund as well as allowed them access to continue our program.

After research, there are many similar complaints from this company advertising as if there are associated with ***. I have no idea how this company even got my information or knew I applied for a job with ***. I received an email on 1.19.19 about pre-eligibility check and getting started set up to take the Postal exam 473 which appeared to be an actual response from the job using *** logo/name. I was excited and called the phone number in the email unaware of the process, thinking this was associated with *** testing regarding the job. When I spoke to woman she did not say they were not *** or associated with them in any way. She said I will be sent a link to set up an account for the test materials which cost $49.99.

She also said I could get a refund anytime if I took the test and failed. I got an e-mail and got on the site, after taking 1 test that was not helpful which was made of mock questions passable to most it didn't seem like *** test help. I realized then this was a scam have not used it again & contacted my credit company. They sent them some materials showing I created an account which I had to in order to see what I purchased over the phone which I thought was coming from company associated with *** as apart of the hiring process. They also showed I took 1 test which again I had to in order to see what I had purchased. The email, website links, and the way they conduct business by phone is misleading.

They also gave them some info stating in plan site they are not with *** and it is just job help but this was not stated plainly in the email which appeared to be from the job I applied to, nor was it stated on the phone. If it was, I think they would not have so many complaints. I did not even know I was dealing with Job Support Services until charged. I was misled into thinking this was part of the hiring process and that they were directly associated with ***. They should not be allowed to use the *** logo/name as if they are associated. I want my $49.99 refund.
Product_Or_Service: Test materials I thought associated with ***

Desired Outcome

Refund This is an advertising/sales/product issue. They use advertising as if they are associated with *** name/logo so they can sale these "test materials" but the product is worthless and not even helpful in studying for a *** test and they are not associated. You only clearly find this out after you pay over phone and are linked to their website to take a test just to see what "materials" you purchased. I desire a billing adjustment to my credit company for a $49.99 refund of my money please.

Unfortunately dealing with Job Support Services has been a nightmare because they are not transparent. I have email proof that they sent me a spam/email at 6:17am on 1/19/19 that appears to be a job response from *** even using their name in bold letters "United States Postal Service." I responded to this email by calling the number to purchase the materials ($49.99) at 6:49am on 1/19/19 for what I thought was associated with the *** hiring/testing process to which the sales person never said they were not associated.

This company seems to train blatant lairs. In trying to get a refund, I was passed from several people (up to 4) in one phone call to which they made different excesses blaming me and my bank for why they could not provide proper customer service and simply issue the refund. I called more than 3 times speaking with up to 4 "customer service managers" because they keep transferring me and lying about why they could not issue the refund when they previously stated they would be "happy to provide a refund" but were blaming it on my bank. The fact that they made this process so difficult proved to me that despite a website/phone recording that seems to be professional, they are a scam company. I finally had to call my bank who told them they sent them documents in February siding with me and to issue the refund. They said they never go the documents.

I am happy my bank has the recorded conversation and was able to hear how they are and that I am not lying about them. The company then emailed me verification they are sending a check of my $49.99 refund in the mail. One lady was nice and was about to issue my refund without hassle by credit back to my card, but then another mean lady "manager" got the phone from her and was like no we cannot do that. They then put another "manager" on the phone and she said they can only issue a check through the mail which I should receive in 10 days. This was a total hassle dealing with them. I am just grateful for my bank's customer service to which the call was recorded for reference of how we were treated and that I was finally able to get my refund from the last person we spoke to so I do not have to deal with these people again. I am not one individual case. I see why they have 40 plus complaints all stating basically the same thing about this company.

My complaint was resolved and my desired result of my $49.99 refund was achieved thanks to my bank and the Revdex.com helping me after the unnecessary hassle I was given just to simply get a refund from this company. I am quite sure they give refunds by directly back to credit cards but I will wait 10 days to get my refund by mail. They can blame me, they can blame my bank, and everyone but themselves for how they do business..I am just glad to get my money refunded. The call was recorded by my bank. I do not lie. Thanks!

I responded to the company regarding my complaint. After hassle from many representatives within the company over the phone, I spoke to someone who emailed proof of the refund I should get. I should receive a refund check for my $49.99 by mail in 10 days which will resolve the issue.
