Our service provider confirmed that this trimmer contained old gas with a very strong odor. The air filter and muffler were clogged and the spark plug was crusted. The fuel tank contained a gum-like substance as did the carburetor. These are all conditions that occur as a result of improper...

maintenance, and as a result, this unit will not be covered under warranty. However, we are sending [redacted] an air box cover, spark plug, and filter at no charge as a one time courtesy.

that was like the original one.  However, they only did this after I sent in a complaint to the Revdex.com.

I would like to close my complaint. I just rejected the answer you gave me however when the mail came at 8pm this evening there was a refund from the company. I appreciate your help as all my emails went unanswered along with my phone calls...

The RIDGID 3yr warranty and Lifetime Service Agreement require the...

product to be purchased through an authorized retailer. Mr [redacted] purchased his RIDGID product through an individual on [redacted].com who is not an authorized retailer. Neither the 3 yr nor LSA are transferrable, and this is stated within the warranty. Therefore, Mr [redacted]'s purchase does not qualify for the 3yr warranty.We offered to ship Mr [redacted] a free battery as a one time courtesy. The order for this battery was submitted yesterday and should be shipping today. Mr [redacted] should receive the battery within 5 days.

After reviewing this customers claim with customer service, reached out to Mr. [redacted] directly (via email) to request photos of his grill with focus on the trouble areas.  Photos will help us better diagnose the potential issue he is having so we can get the grill back to performing normally....

 Once photos are received, we will determine if more parts or a replacement grill is required.

There is no issue with customer's charger. His batteries were 7 - 8 years old based on date codes provided and they expired due to normal wear and tear. We relayed proper battery charging procedures that will keep his batteries performing optimally and enhance their useful lifetime.

requesting copy of receipt. I emailed the next day. as soon as I have check in hand, i'll contact you and advise to drop complaint.

complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. 
As per your document of the business's response, the business claims that they have made multiple attempts to contact me without any response from me, this is untrue.  A voicemail was left on my home answering machine on April 26th, the day after I filed the Revdex.com complaint.  I did not get the message until 5/3 as I was away at my remote work station.  I made several attempts to contact them after receiving the message, specifically on the morning of 5/3, 5/4, and 5/5, leaving messages with the Sr Warranty reps phone on each occasion with my cell number for a call back, and finally with my cell and e-mail address on 5/5 as a last resort.  Today, I received a call from the business at my home phone by chance, but the business still has not agreed to honor the Lifetime Warranty for batteries for which I solely purchased their product.  They have offered replacement batteries but with no future commitment.  Should the replacement batteries last only a short period, I would be out the price of replacement batteries again.  As before, the reason for purchasing their product was the quoted ad of "Free Batteries for Life".The warranty rep has offered to check into the possibility of offering the Lifetime Service Agreement, but did not believe he would be able to persuade his superiors of agreeing to this.  He suggested that I would need to supply information from each side of the original box from the 2005 purchase to verify there was no mention of the requirement for registration.  I do not have the box, but have all the paperwork that came with the tools and I have photos of the important contact information from the box.  If there had been any indication of registration requirement, I would have seen it and filled it out.  RIDGID is choosing not to honor their quoted warranty in my opinion.
