November 16, 2015To Whom It May Concern:
The attached complaint in which the consumer claims to have notified our office of a wrong number on six occasions is false. The first time our office received an inbound call from this consumer was on 11/10/15 at 2:38pm. The consumer...

advised of the wrong number and the phone number was immediately marked as such in our system. At 2:43 pm on 11/10/15 the consumer's husband called our office and again stated that the number was wrong. When our agent attempted to advise him that the phone number had been marked as wrong in our system the consumer's husband proceeded to scream racial slurs and foul language causing the call to be disconnected. As per our previous communication with the consumer, phone number [redacted] has been coded as incorrect in our system. No additional calls have been placed to said number.
Thank You,Research Department

May 5, 2015To Whom It May Concern:A letter explaining the purpose of this office’s communication attempts was mailed to this consumer on 4/23/15 and has not been returned to our office. Whether our office has a contractual agreement with the consumer is irrelevant to the purpose of our...

communication. This office will consider the consumer’s statement to be a validation request.Thank You,Research Department

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I have phone records confirming 6 calls  (from [redacted]) placed to the business in question. All 6 of which were telling them to stop calling my cell phone.
I have incoming phone records (from [redacted]) showing multiple daily calls over a year plus.
This business is telling you nothing but lies. They went so far as to call my number back two times later on the very same day AFTER they were told they had the wrong number and that they had to stop calling. I challenge their "Research Department" to release full and original phone records for all of their offices - they won't, because quite simply, they're liars and/or ies.
They threatened to call "the authorities" on me if I didn't tell them how to reach the person they were trying to contact. A person I DO NOT KNOW. As stated originally, she is apparently the person who had my cell number before me.
I have contacted [redacted] and reported them for threats and harassment.
I have contacted their web hosting provider and registered complaints about the threats and the continued contacts, as well as the misleading and fraudulent information on the website of "Joel Cardis" a fictitious lawyer created to give some aura of legitimacy to their shady operation.
I have contacted the ACA International (the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals) and attempted to file a formal complaint over the threats and continued calls.
I have filed a complaint with the FTC over the continuing calls and the threats received.
They can state whatever other lies they want to deflect attention away from the fact - proven by the records of a third party ([redacted]) that they keep calling after being told repeatedly to never call me again.
My husband has never called them on my cell phone or from any other number. The claim that he did so is libelous.
Knowing their statement was libelous they wouldn't even sign a name to the garbage reply they sent you.
These lying pieces of human garbage have called me TWO TIMES SINCE THIS COMPLAINT WAS INITIALLY FILED.
Regards,
[redacted]Head of my Personal Research Department

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

My 12 year old son continues to receive calls on his cell phone from this law office. I have left messages with them to stop calling him.

Review: The law office of Joel Cardis called me recently to say that they were collecting on behalf of [redacted] for $104.00. First of all, they would not provide me any information on this account, but told me that I had to pay it. While I had [redacted] services 5+ years ago, I paid monthly for this service (with auto-pay!), and I have never received any bill from [redacted]. Similarly, I have never had any charges appear on my credit report. So, when some mystery charge appears, WHY would I just give out my credit card to some random person? I told them that they would need to send me all information in the mail. The letter finally came in the mail, only telling me to pay - surprise, surprise - no further information on this "debt."

Furthermore, these collection agents are extremely unprofessional. The person that I spoke with, either doesn't know how to read, or he couldn't remember his script. He was coughing into the phone, and he muddled some words that the end of my car, that sounded as if he was cursing at me, but I can't say for certain.Desired Settlement: This law firm needs to stop contacting me. While I do not believe that I owe anything to [redacted], I will NOT pay anything to this company until I have ALL documentation from [redacted] that says I owe this amount. Furthermore, I will NOT pay over the phone or use their website. I do not feel comfortable with such a shady, slimey company having access to my credit card information.

Review: I purchased a foreclosure home in 2010. Joel Cardis continues to link me to the previous owner. This has been ongoing for the last 3 years. Each time I ask that my number be removed and the calls will stop (short term) then start up again. The last call received was Oct 2014, I called [redacted] to explain that again they have the wrong number. The person who answered the phone said my name would be removed but I want to be assured this does not keep happening. Three years is enough. As I continue to explain that this has been an ongoing problem the person on the other end refused to listen and hung up the phone. I tried to file a more formal complaint with their office but it does not appear they have any type of resolution in place to handle this. I want to know what my rights are if this continues to happen and am seriously considered legal action against this company if there is more phone call.Desired Settlement: My desire is not only should they remove my number but make sure my name is no longer associated with the previous owner in their records. I should not continue to get these phone call off and on.

November 17, 2014To Whom It May Concern:This office received an inbound call on 11/14/2014 notifying us that the party we were attempting to reach was not at the phone number referenced in this complaint. Our records show that 11/14/14 was the first time we were notified that this number was incorrect and was likewise the first time any direct contact had been made via the referenced phone number, as all previous messages went unanswered. The phone number was marked accordingly at that time and no further contact bas been made to said phone number. This consumer’s name is not associated with the file as implied in this complaint.Thank You,Research Department

Review: They are calling my business phone on a debt I have no idea about. I am going through a divorce and don't know if that has triggered something, but I have asked them not to call my work phone. We are not allowed personal calls, I have already been talked to regarding these calls. They need to stop harassing me at work!Desired Settlement: They are a shady company at best harassing people for bad debt that they have purchased! They should be put out of business!!! They threaten you with legal action, but give you no real info on what they are collecting for. Bad business all around with rude people!!!!

Review: This business has been calling my mother repeatedly and asking for me. Her home number has not been my home number in 10+ years. She got upset when a law office kept calling her about me and got very worried. I have made several attempts to contact this company and have not heard anything. My mother has indicated they won't stop calling her.Desired Settlement: Stop contacting my mother. I have contacted you and given you my phone number. My mother lives on the other side of the country. Furthermore, I have checked my credit report (I check it regularly) and there are no outstanding debts and my credit score is very good. I will require proof of debt before any further steps are taken.

Review: I received a call today on 6-27-2013 by a female at the phone number [redacted]. She stated that a credit union had filed a lawsuit against me and that I needed to pay them to fix this situation. I told her that I have only had ONE credit union and I am still with them for the past 10 years. She stated that I needed to "take down information about the lawsuit" I informed her that I was busy, she threatened me by saying that I HAD to do this "or else" ... I replied by telling her that I have not had an account with this other company, she stated that my court date would be coming up soon so I informed her that if they really filed a lawsuit against me I would countersue their client due to the fact that I did not have an account with them and furthermore she refused to provide me ANY information about this lawsuit. I was disconnected, she said she would " SEE MY [redacted] IN COURT" and "GOOD LUCK, YOU WILL NEED IT" ...... If she calls back again she will need luck!Desired Settlement: There is nothing on my credit report showing a balance from this company...

She stated that this account was opened in 2012, I have only ONE credit union, I have had them 10 years, no problems.

She failed to give me any information, failed to verify any information, failed to contact me back after I called them back. She refuses to answer my calls after telling me "She will see my [redacted] in court" .... If this is the case they need to find a better attorney because what they are doing to me here in Texas is not going to fly.

Law Offices of Joel Cardis is not professional, they need to stop calling me, harassing me, and she stated that she has all of my correct information. She made the comment that these calls would not stop and that they would "come after me" ... I live in Texas where everyone owns a gun... this is not smart to threaten an armed security officer!

Review: This law offfice is attempting to collect on a medical bill that has already been paid. The bill is through [redacted] Hospital in [redacted], NY. [redacted] Hospital confirms that I have no balance with them and that they do not use this attorney for collections. I was told by their billing office that it was a scam and to ignore the calls. After explaining to a representative at Joel Cardis LLC that this was not a valid debt, they continue to call me daily. I'm concerned at what this attorney has the power to do. I live in fear that my accounts will be seized over $150 that was paid years agoDesired Settlement: Stop harrassing me.

To Whom It May Concern;

The account in question was placed by the client with an agency who in turn forwarded the account to our office for further efforts as per their contract with the client. Our office did speak with this consumer on 3/12/13. In the conversation the consumer stated she believed that her account had been satisfied, that she would contact the client regarding the account and that she would follow up with our office as to the outcome via fax. The consumer never followed up with our office as agreed. Accordingly we’ve been attempting to contact the consumer. Contrary to the consumer’s complaint, our office has not contacted the consumer daily. Rather our office attempted to contact the consumer 4 times within the last 30 days. We will consider the consumer's complaint as a request to cease communication to the telephone number ending in [redacted]. The consumer’s account has been marked accordingly.

Thank You,

Research Department

September 30, 2014To whom It May Concern:The consumer has failed to state a complaint to which our office can respond. She claims to not know how we received ber information or why we are contacting her but as per the consumer’s own admission, the consumer already contacted the original creditor and was thereafter directed to our office concerning this matter. Furthermore, the consumer also admits to having already received several written communications from our office, in each of which we identify ourselves and our client. We will consider the consumer's Revdex.com “complaint” simply as a request to cease outbound communication with the consumer. We will proceed accordingly.Thank You,Research Department

"Mr. Maloney" left a message asking for a return call regarding debt collection to the number 610-239-7147 ext. 7120. "Ms. Tate" answered the phone asking for a "James" and then "John". I informed her no person lived at this address. This "debt collection" is bogus. They are not leaving the name of a specific "debtor" when they leave the message which no attorney would actually do. Too vague to be legit. Also, if they are legitimate, they are required to send you something in writing within 5 business days. Don't take the bait from these fraudulent "debt collectors". Their approach is flirting with harassment.

Review: Sat., Sept. 6, 2014 @ 2:55 PM I received a call on my answering machine from Ms. F[redacted] (?) at the Law Office of Joel Cardis regarding a business matter for debt collection. Call ###-###-####. I am elderly and have no debt. I did not return this call, but am requesting to be removed from this phone scam.Desired Settlement: Removal from this phone scam.

I am rejecting this response because:If this company does not have sufficient records with my name, then

I will not release my telephone number. There is a possibility this company would continue to harass me. I am elderly and do not need this frustration.
